F1 2018 red flag?

How do you think whether there will be a red flag in f1 2018? he is absent with f1 2014, I think it would be quite good if codemasters have returned a red flag

It would be nice thing to have Also adverse weather conditions to such an extent that merit's a red flag so we can see them a bit more often without a massive crash (pile up) If it happen's regularly in real life why can't we ask for it in their games??

Best guess is their engine is too over complicated or they can't be arsed to place it within the game lazy coding judging from the amount of problems (bugs) post release support with there games.

How many different racing lines will you take

As far as the game is concerned wouldnt that be nothing more than just a flag and then a restart like a normal safety car restart? Unless you actually want to sit staring at the screen waiting until it lets you start racing again and that doesnt sound any fun.

Could be interesting to see a Red Flag return, since as far as I've heard we now might have standing restarts after Red Flag...

I don't see the appeal of a red flag in a racing game. What do you do exactly? First you're racing, then there's a crash, you get a red flag, drive into the pits, then you either wait for five minutes real-time, or you get the option to skip the wait (like with repair times), and then you're returned to the grid. Sounds incredibly boring and unneccessary, especially if the game can't handle the flags realistically. Imagine if the game goes full **** and whips out the red flag after every crash? Sounds like fun, right?

Red flags don't have to come out for every crash you can have it for extreme weather condition if it was working properly. And to me yes it's fun realistic and exciting

Like I said, what if the game glitches out and gives us red flags constantly? It already happens with the safety car.

If the game glitches with a feature that would be down to bad coding which then can be patched. Red flags safety car can work hand in hand Implemented with each other and the coding is done without any major hiccups. I do agree with you at the moment a stable game is more of a priority

Not waiting for a red flag. Doesn't contribute to a nice gaming experience even though you know by now that I'm all for all the realism aspects of the game. Not this one however.

If you use ABS or Traction Control, you are no longer a racing driver.

They could add a setting where it allowed the red flag. If they do add that then it could have two yes options, straight restart or wait rail time. streat restart restarts straight away if your car is not busted and the wait real time would (again if your car is not bust) return to the pits and waits the time it would take in real life.

Red flags would be a great addition to qualifying. There it can mix things up quiet a bit.

Indeed I don't think I'd like red flags. I think putting them in would be a waste of time. I play racing games to race not be stopped by things like that. Besides we already have things like the Safety car and VSC that's enough for me.

Im sure a red flag now means a standing restart know the were talking about it couple years ago but in real life the teams are allowed to put fresh tyres on and repair the car if something wrong not sure if allowed to change set up or not but it is something could have in game so everyone goes back to there garage change ur car set up if want put fresh tyres repair  any damage maybes with an timer and a race restart time and have to do an standing start in stead of rolling one I am sure the added the standing restart couple year back like or were talking about it

If it's a part of real F1 then I would like to see it in the game.  Anything that can effect the outcome of the race is important.  That's why a working safety car is a big deal.

I think it adds a bit more than that, the addition of red flags might also mean they could finally remove ghosting completely. Currently if there's a massive pile up that blocks the track, cars have to ghost to allow the race to continue, but it could be a lot more realistic when crashed cars would stay un-ghosted to give the red flag some actual purpose as well.

It also adds a big strategic element, drivers are allowed to change tyres before the restart, so it can cause a big shake up. Personally I think the feature is not the most important one, but it's still a part of the sport so I'd like to see it added.
