P2P needs a stable connection. You can see here a prime example what happens when playing P2P games with terrible ping to most other players. If all players would have a good connection (and PC), it could be considered bad code.

Hi UP100, thanks for your answer.
I work with computers, but I do not know the part about networks and communications.
Probably at the level of code Codies can not do anything and I understand it, but I wanted to give it a try, you never know

Basically the issue is the P2P connection they are using. It means they only host "matchmaking" servers that players are able to find each other. Everything else is communicated from player to player. The good things in this system are (for example) that no one has to create a dedicated server to play alone with friends and Codemasters don't have pay for the servers.

The bad things are that P2P games are unstable as many P2P games rely on the game calculating the exact same stuff as the other player. Such as Company of Heroes 2 does this and because of it, the versions ported to Mac & Linux can't play with Windows players.

P2P connections can also prevent players from playing with each other if their NAT setting is different. This may lead into situations where I can play with both of my friends, but if they are in the same game, one will get kicked.

Here's yet another list of games which use P2P and their problems:
-COH2 (Terrible sync issues at times. The game seems to run as fast as the slowest player)
-Civilization games (Sync issues, game will reload itself if this happens. For me and my friend (30ms ping) it happens around every 30 minutes or so)
-Space Engineers (Just terrible sync issues... This game also supports dedicated servers which aren't that much better.)
-Medieval Engineers (Same as Space Engineers)
-PAYDAY 2 (Some players might appear to stand still for the whole heist)
-Almost every Ubisoft game ever (See For Honor which got dedicated servers way too late)
-GTA4 / EFLC (You usually to aim in front of the player if you want to run over him with a car, otherwise you see him get hit while he just avoided it)
