Problem with the rule of tires in the race

The game has an incorrect tire rules setting. This happens in the career mode, when you change any component of the engine and receives a punishment in the Grid finishes dropping in tenth first or last, The game does not allow to change the tire of start, always dropping with tire of the classification 2. Being that in the formula 1 and it is obligatory to drop with only the first 10 tires placed with the tires, the others can leave with any tire to change the strategy of the race, and the game does not allow this.
Codmasters please review this rule and do as it is in F1 for real. thank you.

    I believe that if you have a grid drop it does not count as a qualification. Yes you start from P13 with a 5 place grid drop but you qualified for P8. The tyre rule lets those who qualified outside of the top 10 change their tyres for the first stint.

    Correct me if I am wrong as I am not 100% sure.

    @MrGhostO1O is right.
    The grid is established as per qualifying. If you got into Q3 then you have to start on Q2 tyres.
    Grid penalties are applied after the grid has been established.

    From the regs: https://www.fia.com/regulation/category/110
    24.4
    j)With the exception of any cars which have a change of survival cell after the qualifying practice session, at the start of the race each car which qualified for Q3 must be fitted with the tyres with which the driver set his fastest time during Q2. This will only be necessary for these cars if dry-weather tyres were used to set the fastest time in Q2 and if dry-weather tyres are used at the start of the race.

    And from 35.2
    c) Once the grid has been established in accordance with a) and b) above, grid position penalties will be applied to the drivers in question in the order the offences were committed.

    This article also covers a lot of the problems with qualifying and penalties, including the one raised here.

    And from this year.

    Ok thanks to both for clarification, so that you are correct.
    I thought that with the punishment would give free choice to the tires
    even though it has gone to Q3.
