F1 2015 - PC cockpit camera options

Afternoon All,
As said in a few different posts we are adding some options for you all to tweak the cockpit camera to better suit your preference & setup.
These options have been included in the latest PC patch, they can be found in game on the pause menu.

Pause > Settings > Graphics Options > Camera Options

Here you can edit the following:

Field of View
Offset : Horizontal
Offset : Vertical
Angle
Near Clip Plane
Mirror Angle
Camera Shake
You can also select default to put these settings back to the original values

We hope you all enjoy playing around with these settings and we are open to suggestions if anyone has constructive feedback for us. We are also still working on this ourselves, and in a future patch expect the FoV slider to give you an even larger selection range.
This should especially make customisation of Mosaic, Eyefinity & extreme resolution setups significantly easier to personalise to how you like to play.

Happy racing!

This is a great step forwards, thank you.

    Interviewer:
"In more than three words, can you sum up your day for me today?"
    Grönholm: "Not very good... today."

As the wise man Bitto69 once said, "laughter and free :)"

    @Lozzy @justbiglee

Will be this option available on the consoles later? Or any Patch to make the Onboard Cameras look more real on consoles?

If you put this option on the console you would have some very happy players.

Is it now possible to stop the wobbling T-Cam under braking? Could anybody test this please?
And yes, please bring this to PS4.

The only suggestions I have on this .

Make the menu back-round  more transparent so you can see the adjustments better from in car.

Hot key assignment would be great too.

Everyone, this is only for cockpit view!
Now I can drive at cockpit view when setting the vertical slider to max (like the driver is taller), because I can see the track much more.

    Cool! Thanks.
Please add TrackIR support since this is the best enhancement for cockpit view.

Can't wait for having this on Xbox ONE!

A step forwards but the FoV even on minimum is still too wide for triple-screen. It looks about 35 degs to me and we need to get below 30. This would also improve the shocking frame-rate and I have i7 4790, GTX970 and 16GB and practically everything apart from mirrors set to low.

The problem with motion sickness is that there are two causes with triple-screen:-

    1) The warping effect of the side-monitors (due to the image stretching at the side) which shrinks objects as you turn towards them.
    2) Too narrow a Field of View simply creates too much movement - I guess that's what you're trying to protect us from.

No 1 is improved with narrower FoV whilst No 2 is improved with higher FoV, so you need to give us more flexibility with the angle to find our personal sweet-spot.

BUT, if it is done correctly with 3 separate displays (as in IRacing/RF2/AC and soon PCars)  or simply by making the x-y co-ordinates directly proportional to the object "angle" not displacement (I have a feeling single-screen would look nicer that way too) No. 1 goes away completely, plus your game looks a lot nicer too.

I can do 10 laps now before feeling sick, so still can't comment on the game apart from driving felt nice if a little easy after Assetto Corsa and I got rammed off the track a lot by the AI, but that would improve with pace.

A good move, but "sorry" more work required - in particular optimisation of code - how an i7/GTX970/16GB combo performs worse than a crappy console is beyond me.

Loaded game up for a last try today, turned all the daft blurry stuff off in hardware settings, turned the camera shake off and even turned a few graphic options up and got 50-60fps. Also the FoV is narrower now for some reason (and acceptable).

It was a bug though, I didn't make it up. What happened originally was I loaded up the game after the patch and for some reason it had reverted to 5760x1080 (rather than my bezel adjusted 5960x1080) - it also reset all my buttons. I changed it back to 5960 and when I set the FoV to 0, it was so wide that the bezels were chopping the mirrors in half. Reloaded today and as I say, FoV fine (30-ish) and mirrors correctly if uglily stretched cleanly onto the side monitors.

Finally, I can play the game.  :)
