F1 2016: Technical Assistance & Bug Reports - PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

jennyannemjennyannem Member, Codemasters Community Manager

Hey guys,

In the build up to F1 2016, we’re making some changes to the way that the forum will work so that both you and our dev team can find discussions, questions and bug reports as quickly and easily as possible.

Firstly, any technical questions, or bug reports should be posted here in the ‘F1 Technical Assistance’ forum – threads on these topics created in ‘F1 General Discussion’ will be moved.

Secondly, this year, we’d like you to keep each thread to a specific bug or discussion as opposed to having a long thread per platform that covers lots of things like we had last year. If you already see a thread for the question or issue you’d like to discuss, please add your thoughts there, rather than creating a new one. Duplicate threads will be closed or merged with the main thread.

Finally when reporting a bug or asking a question the more information you can provide the more quickly we’ll be able to help. Things like the platform you’re playing on (PS4, PC or Xbox One), the version of the game (this will be shown on the Press Start screen) and which game mode you’re in (Career, Quick Race etc) are very helpful to us but any other information you can provide will also be useful.

With only a few days to go now until launch, we can't wait for you to all to get your hands on F1 2016!

The sub-title/header text for the F1 Technical Assistance forum says:

"Need help with something technical? Get technical assistance from your fellow players in this forum."

I would hope that customers could rely on support from the game's creators rather than just from other players.

Partially functional games should not charge anywhere near full retail price. • If a game is ready to sell, it should be ready to play. • Launch day should not be the start of a public retail beta. • The impossibility of 'perfection' is no justification for poor quality. • Pre-ordering & buying games at launch is paying for the worst version of the game at its highest price - it'll function better after it's patched, and there are always discount sales later. Why pay full price up-front to be a post-launch beta tester? • As long as people continue buying it, companies will continue selling it. • If we want good quality, we have to stop buying & funding bad quality.

Hello please could you help I received my hard copy of F1 2016 yesterday and am already loving it, but using Sony 7.1 headphones and no matter what settings i do with audio in the game or on my ps4 audio settings I just cannot get the engineers chat to come through to the headphones it goes quieter when they are talking but no speech. Even if I try a different pair of stereo headphones it doesn't come through ? As soon as I go to headphones it's ghosted outhe in the game ? Comes through the pad fine but really need all sound to come to headphones as can't hear pad with headphones on.
Thanks in advance if anyone can help

Did you read the first post in this thread? If you have a question/problem, please post a new thread with an appropriate title.
Braked: the past tense of brake.
Broke, brokenanything within reach when I hear racing gamers say 'broke' instead of 'braked'.
