I lost almost 4 tenths over the lap so a mid 24 is easy possible

    Setup in the Steamworkshop

    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=754929588

    Note

It was a decent lap. I practice just a bit and then tweaked the Setup a bit.

This setup was my base setup for my McLaren Pro Career but the settings works like charm in bahrain. Due to the high spring values the car is very stable also when you lower the wings, which is crucial in bahrain for more topspeed

    Have fun!

    Note

First i tried it with medium Downforce, but all time and some more were lost in the last sector so i switched to low wings and soft rear springs to increase topspeed and traction and it worked beautifully

    Note

Here now my Worldrecord Hotlap from the rainy Baku!
It was pretty tough to get a good lap in with the low downforce. But honestly, you doesn't win that much time on the Straight in the wet as in the dry.
Never the less give it a try and let me know what you think.

    Have fun!

    Note
Now another dry lap, this time in China.
Usually a track which i like and this game doesn't change anything :D
I managed to get a decent lap in and was quite happy with that.
Give the setup a try and let me know what you think

After yesterdays dry setup follows the wet setup NOW :D
I think i could gain 3-4 tenths after some more laps but  i was quiete pleased with the time :)
I also changes some values on the rear spring and the rear anti rollbar to increase traction which worked very well

Give this setup a try and let me know what you think

    Have fun

My Setup in the F1 2016 Steamworkshop
I love Singapore at daytime, in the wet and with the new "hairpin" before the bridge it is even better!
The car is so twitchy and unstable but i doesn't need that much time to get used to it :D
Yeah i know, plenty of time still to find but i don't care for now because i wanted to create a "quick setup" ;)

Give it a try and let me know what you think :D

My Setup in the F1 2016 Steamworkshop
finally i was able to set a good lap in the dry.
It wasn´t that bad, but i lost around 3 tenths in the first sector and another 2 in the last sector....
So a 40 flat should be possible ;)

Give it a try and let me know what you think :D

My Setup in the F1 2016 Steamworkshop
After a request i did a lap with the Red Bull to compare the laptimes with the Mercedes.
It wasn´t the best lap, but the gap is around half a second.

With a stunning lap in both cars the gap could be around 8 tenths but it isn´t as bis as i thought to be honest :D

Give it a try and let me know what you think

My Setup in the F1 2016 Steamworkshop
Now it´s time for Russia, but i thought i should try it with the slowest car ;)
Due to the low griplevel from the car it was a lot of fun and after some minor setuptweaks i could push
My target was to get into the 39´s and wow after just a couple of laps i did it :D
The setup is very stable on the rear but hasn´t as much understeer as the base setup

Give it a try and let me know what you think

My Setup in the F1 2016 Steamworkshop
after the Manor i try it with the Mercedes, but my fastest lap, a 36,7 got screwed by shadowplay and not enough space on my HDD
    #OOPPSS

Setup in the lap isn't the same as i used in the 36,7 but you find the link to the other Setup above as always

    Big sorry for that

Nevertheless gibe it a try and let me know what you think

    Have fun!

Will certainly try out your setups next time I'm on. Thanks for sharing
  • scaryscary Member New Car Smell
    do you drive with assists?
I find most of the shared setups here on the forum undriveable for wheel no-assist driver. havent tried yours yet, just asking before I raise my hopes.
  • MR61088MR61088 Member Wheel Nut
No assits at all as you can see in the videos itself ;)
Test the Setups and tell me what you think.
Maybe we can create a setup for your driving style ;)

    okidoke, will test tonight.
I also tried doing a setup myself and I have to admit its really ticky to get it right. the smallest change can feel completely different.
and sometimes a setup I toughts it's crap, suddenly works great after few rounds. I guess its the temperatures or whatever. so you cant just go in drive few curves and decide wheather its good or not, you gotta drive 2-3 laps to get the feeling for it.
  • MR61088MR61088 Member Wheel Nut
If you only do time trial the temperature isn't the factor which changes the handling.
It is only the mind. A little makes (sometimes) a huge difference, thats for sure.
To build a fast setup you can only do time trial, but to do a good and fast race setup you need to go to a free practice, or even better into a career and make a tyre test.
You can learn so much about tyre conservation in this practice program!!

Seriously, to go a bit easier into a corner for example doesn't cost as much time as tyrelife!

And you can compare your Setups into the test, but make sure you did enough laps before to get a pretty good consistant pace before you make big changes on your setup

    cheers

My Setup in the F1 2016 Steamworkshop

Just in time for the race!!
In honor to ferraris victory last year i wanted to make a ferrai hotlap around malaysi while the real life race weekend is on.

Pretty aggressive setup but pretty stable in the tricky brakingzones in sector three.

Give it a try and let me know what you think

    Have fun!

This time a japanese (GP2) Engine on a japanese track!
I love suzuka but to get a decent setup for the McLaren was a little challellenge, that's for sure.
I lost a bit of time in the righthander before the bridge and a bit more in the middle of spoon, where i didn't get the apex right.

Give it a try and let me know what you think

Next up on my "agenda" was Germany! My home country and one of my favorit tracks to be honest :)
Was tricky to get the first corner right, but i think i managed it pretty well in this lap ;)
Setup is almost the same setup which i used in malaysia and it worked pretty well in the stadium section!
I lost around two tenths after the 90 degree left hander which cost me a time arround a high 13...

But nevertheless give it a try and let me know what you think

    Note
Sorry for the delay and the long break, but i had a internet problem and due to that my motivation to do some setups where completly gone!
But now i'm back and this is my Brasil Setup.
Lost a bit in the Senna S and break to early after the quick double right hander up the hill but we talk about a tenths here, so almost perfect!
As you may noticed this is almost the same setup which i used before in Malaysia and Germany and i think i hit my personal sweetspot setupwise in F1 2016!
The setup also works well with my McLaren in Pro Career and i scored a good Podium in Russia with these settings. Only the wings was lower due to the lag of power ;)

    Enough text now :D
Give it a try and let me know what you think ;)

My Setup in the F1 2016 Steamworkshop
Finally a new setup, but this time it isn't a Time Trial based one! Due to my leaguerace preperation i felt that the ultrasoft tyre isn't a good race tyre in Abu Dhabi. They only lasts for 4-5 laps and wasn't faster than the Supersoft in the first stint. So i went for a Supersoft run and was able to make a 2 Stop Strategy work (SS/S/SS) which couldn't be done without loosing a big chunk of time with the Ultrasofts.
The lap itself was quite okay, but i lost a tenths in the second and 1-2 tenths in the third sector, but i don't care :D

Nevertheless give it a try and let me know what you think

    Have fun!
