F1 2016 brake and gas at 50 percent without pressing (Fanatec CSL Elite @PC)
F1 2016 with Fanatec CSL Elite
@PC
After a change from Thrustmaster to Fanatec I was coming back to F1 2016, but It'd to recognize that it's not playable anymore because brake and gas pedals are shown (after creating a custom set) with 50 percent already pressed. So where is the calibration and why reads F1 2016 the pedals not at zero when not pressed?
I've tried also older CM games like Dirt 3 where the wheelbase and the pedals are flawless usable.

Any way for a proper in game calibration ?
Select your wheel in the menu, not your pedals, then bind your pedals to the wheels profile and they'll be calibrated properly.

In custom setup I press the accelerator and brake pedals to register it. In advanced wheel settings I can see that the value of accelerator and brake is not 0 as it should, both are at 49 and if I press the pedals the value changes up to 100 but goes not under 49.
Just checked F1 2013 and created a custom setting, there is all as it should be ... so I had to go for a fast race over 25 laps :-)
It seems that F1 2016 is the only one from my Codemaster games with this problem and no possibility to calibrate (or auto calibrate) the Fanatec CSL Elite LC pedals. This game is the current F1 game and Codemasters does not iron out the controller problems. There are more that have this problem that 49 is the minimum value from brake or accelerator.
BTW: I tested F1 2013, Dirt 3, Dirt Rally, Dirt 4 and all are running from the controller / pedals point of view very well.
If you use ABS or Traction Control, you are no longer a racing driver.

And suddenly I realised that I was no longer driving the car consciously. I was driving it by a kind of instinct, only I was in a different dimension.

The problem persists only with F1 2016 so I think there is something buggy with the calibration part of the game. It's a shame, that Codemasters does not iron out the problems in their current games.
So now the pedals are working as they should do but the next problem is that there is now no FFB.
I think I give up with F1 2016 ... I don't know what Codemasters is doing behind the scenes but the wheel support is in this game is not up to date even the old F1 2013 does not have any problems. The reworked controller support in F1 2016 seems broken, they should look in their older games and transfer their controller code to the newer games or should patch their games to a more robust controller calibration and setup tool.
I had the same 50% Problem, but its working fine now. (CSL LC Pedals plugged into Base)
So I have the option to go without FFB or no calibration for brake and acceleration pedals.
It seems that Codemasters has already forgotten F1 2016 because no single answer or patch even if there are a lot of technical problems with this game as we can see in tbis forum. So I will at least avoid the next Codemasters games.

CM should give a short explanation in their config files, then we could add our peripherals ourselves. What's driving me nuts is that a stoneold game like RBR has absolutely no problem with the hardware (wheel, pedals, analog handbrake) even without any knowledge about this type of Hardware when it was published.
I would assume that the peripheral detection and calibration function in a newer game should be better nowadays...
