F1 2017 Leg protection missing?

Hello Codemasters,

I've always wondered why you did not model the leg protection in the car, it makes the model look empty im comparison to real life.

Any reason why?

    I don't know. Maybe they didn't think it was important, maybe they wanted to let out some details for performance reasons, who knows.

    I don't think not having this is too bad, but it propably destroys the immersion for all the t-cam players (lol the irony)
    Using T-Cam is bad. And you should feel bad.

    Why is T-cam (TV cam?) bad? It's an option in the game, there to be used. I prefer it to the others.

    We are talking about a "Officially licenced F1 product", aren't we?

    Therefore it's more than to be expected that every single car model is designed correctly to represent the real deal as close as possible, including the "nit picky" leg protection / steering wheel detail / gloves / driver knee pad / car updates / sponsorships etc. etc. etc.

    Sadly the only F1 car in the whole history of Codies F1 franchise to be modelled to almost perfection is a stolen one, it's the Ferrari of the year '02 to be more precise, quite ironic if not even absolutely pathetic tbh especially as Codies are most definitely not incapable of creating high quality products.

    I also posted about this lack of detail of the car models a couple of weeks ago:

    And here's the main thread to the "grand theft" of Codemasters:

    It's bad if people come crying here about something ruining the immersion, but then they proceed to use tv-cam.
    Most people merely use it because it's easier, while looking for others excuses. Someone even said he uses it because of the immersion and I asked him if he's actually driving the car or just watching a race. He didn't answer.

    @lolschrauber

    But regardless of the usage of T-Cam or Cockpit Cam, the "leg protection is practically visible in both cases for either the viewer or the driver, so we could go as far as to argue that it even "breaks immersion" for cockpit players as well.

    Either way imho the biggest "immersion breaker" for cockpit players specifically is the fact that we still don't have a actual helmet cam and not enough valubale information on the steering wheel, lol.

    It'd be nice, that's true. Though I didn't like helmet cam too much in project cars for a reason, it would be amazing if you could put the whole MFD on the wheel.

    But in general I personally don't care about quite a few details that others are missing. I did know that the leg protection was missing, but it never bothered me when racing, because I was so focused all the time. I get peoples point though. I honestly would love to see a completely new engine for the F1 series, that should open up quite a few possibilities for improvements.
