ahhh and the majority answers on my posts werent spam? Interesting! very interesting!
The frontbumper camera should get wet if I drive through a river of water .. I dont talk about 3rd person. But honestly realism goes too far here. Immersion and fairness shouldnt suffer from preferred camera on such an avoidable way.
Gossip thread is 15 bumper cam water splash posts too long.
At least I get now a somewhat better discussion with at least someone. But the only thing you could contribute so far was flagging post you have no interest on or make stupid jokes from it which rather would be spam.
Better than having nothing. Or alternatively what about the same time like with wipers? Or maybe a bit slower I dont know. I even could accept the punishment of having slightly longer water in my face. But its the first game which doesnt draw any effect anymore on an other camera than cockpit I know of. F1 2016 from the same company - codemasters - hasnt the problem either. Its just dirt for some reason :S So even if its in your words the least important factor, still dirt is the only game I know of which has this problem. And for me this is a problem - unnecessary unfair to cockpit drivers and immersion killed from water drivethroughs. Just dont remove this effect from other cameras. Where is the problem? Other games see no problem here.
Real Rally has often very long tracks. Why Dirt Rally has only such short 10km tracks? Rally Racing 97 even had the Pundershaw Track which had a length of 58,90km! It is such a great track! I would have loved to see such a track in Dirt Rally again.
But I would be already happy if it would have some 20 to 30km tracks and not just 10km short ones.
Its not that uncommon in real rally to have some longer tracks.
Long tracks are also good against remembering it so easy, making the copilot useless. Long tracks fight against this problem learning all the tracks so fast and the copilot stays more important. Its also a endurance test for the car. In Rally Racing 97 at the pundershaw track you really have to manage car damage and it was always interesting.
Also: More locations please! The current tracks repeat a bit too often. Not even just the location, even the segments are often areas which you drove already on an other track.
If you want to stay with the very short tracks, please tell why. I see nothing wrong in having some 25, 35km tracks and so on. And real rally this isnt that uncommon.
