I just hope people don't lose their heads and start firing bad reviews on steam etc just because the game is having some problems at launch. Most games have problems at launch but not most dev teams engage in quickly fixing them and I hope people take that into consideration, as well as the overall quality of the game itself, which has not disappointed so far.

i really think it depends. i agree, cut them some slack in certain situations. for example if the multiplayer encounters a problem here and there. thats somewhat expected. but if the player wants to play the single player career of a 60$ game and they cant properly because the developer thought it would be a good idea to make the single player career an always online mode, then its completely fair to give it a bad review. if you are running your single player career and the game resets certain parts or doesnt accept your time after a clean run for whatever reason then a bad review is completely reasonable - because it can and will destroy the experience for many who were not aware this would be the case. if you get yourself a 60$ triple a game its completely reasonable to expect a working single player career from the very beginnning. there are no excuses.

I'd be quite happy with just two 01 cars. While they should be a bit slower than the late naughties ones, with a bit of tweaking it's a solid class. Just to be able to go all 'Burns v Mcrae' again would be awesome. P.s if the peugeot 206 doesn't come I'm gonna smash a cup.

Meh, I can't think of a triple A game that hasn't released with some issues. It's just what happens. I think a game, and a games company, should be measured on how they respond to issues as opposed to on the issues themselves. In our case, Codemasters have been extremely attentive and responsive to the issues raised, and are working flat out to resolve them.

no. it would probably be fair to some extend. but it wont happen. people move on. they buy a game for 60$. play it. have their experience destroyed due to whatever reason and move on. some will come back, play it again and maybe readjust their review. but many will just have moved on and wont come back at all. hard to blame them for that. if you release a full price triple a game dont expect people to treat it like a indie early access title. its codemasters job to make sure that it works when its released. dont be surprised if your fullprice triple a game that releases with bugs gets bad reviews from unhappy customers. in my opinion its hard to blame paying customers for that. thats all ifs of course. if the game releases with bugs and if it gets bad reviews. all ifs. release is tomorrow. lets just wait and see.

Hey Guys, any chances getting my favorite Car, the Golf Mk4 into the Game? I would die for it

3rd car up for the NZ Rally Series is a kiwi modern classic from the Rothman's era - Brian Stokes & Jeff Judd's Escort RS Cosworth: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/brian-stokes-rally-new-zealand-1994.25514/ Clear footage of this one was hard work to find. So while a simple design, it took an outrageous amount of time to research! Good fun trawling through crappy resolution pictures and old NZRC footage on YouTube!

That is as intended so what I said was correct. I'll add feedback that having the value exposed may be of use to the player.

In this case, I would expect every single one of those bad reviews to be turned into positive reviews once they fix the issue. I guarantee however that will not happen and this will reflect unfairly on the game.

It's a bit sad that modding doesn't work at the moment as told by @ChristinaMc some weeks ago... Even though it's not officially supported, as she mentioned. But a little info would ne helpful for all those modders. Please let us know it will be "unlocked" later, maybe with Day 1 patch after the game has launched on 26th...?!

Sorry, seems I can't read my own work 😣 The range is 30 to 70. Default is 55. It would mean that the increments moving up are 3, but down is 5. Which is a little strange so I'll ask around as it's not quite how I intended.

This is rather pathetic to be honest. It's seemingly worked fine, until I'm actually planning to start a daily challenge. Connects, loads the service park. But when I click "start" it's just connection failed, either retry, back or main menu. Back is back to service park. There are limits on how long I am going to let the game stand in the service menu, so I try again. No luck. I do a shakedown, go back to the service menu, try yet again. No connection failed. Oh well. Let's repair the damage from shakedown (you know, use the in-game money), and go back to the menu and try later. But no. Going back to the menu brings a big, fat, red DNF on that daily. Utterly utterly brilliant. If RaceNet had been a new thing, for DR2.0, fine. But it's not new at all. This isn't a thing that's untested. Poor showings, and it will lead to negativity and less sales.

Just got to Clubman difficulty om my fifth try. First one I botched myself due to being extremely rusty, and the next three attempts were -- guess what? -- reset due to 'discrepancies', as was my RX championship just ten minutes ago. I really hope that the one responsible for RaceNet testing at Codies would get his worktime logged through the very same RaceNet. Like, in two days before payday 'Ooops! Your worktime for the past month has been reset due to discrepancies! Bad worker, no money'

They've not handled it with silence at all, they've commented multiple times per day and are responding to people on all social channels - clearly working on it (over the weekend, although their choice for a Friday release). I feel this was a really poor game decision and hope it improves somewhat, but it's not going to stop me from getting enjoyment from the game.

No problem. I have noted it that we should display what the value is to the player. Hopefully we can integrate this moving forward in service or future titles.

Default is 55. It moves in increments of 5. Going up to 70, or down to 35.

I really hated setting up cars in Dirt Rally and you have made it even more of a pain in 2.0. I'm not a game designer so I don't know what to suggest, only that the current system is absolutely horrible. Rally 1.0 really stunk for making setups and 2.0 is much worse. You basically get one try to get your setup right and it's simply not enough. You make a complete guess...since the stock setups are trash, every single thing needs to be changed...and if you tap one thing on your practice run the session is over because you have to make a repair, no matter how minor. What?! Now you're running your rally with a trash setup wishing the car didn't suck the entire run. To make it worse you have to do 2 stages like this, then make changes and pray it's even better to any degree and hope it's not worse. It's a fun killer. Running in freemode is just as bad....there is no true freemode to just run a trail and test things out. If you don't want people memorizing the trails make a separate setup mode and give us a minute and a half where we could test things out without having to worry about tapping a wall and ending the progress of setting up. Give us separate little test sections with tight uphill turns or flat out sections to at least get in the neighborhood of things. Exactly how did you want us to make setups? The correct way is to make a single change, test, make another, test...so you know what changes are working. This is literally impossible with your system. The only way is making multiple changes at a time and hoping for the best as you do your official run. If it's no good you have to guess what it was you don't like and start guessing again. And every track/surface needs a different setup so you basically never EVER have the setup you want. At least in 1.0 I was guaranteed a few tries, in 2.0 it's a complete joke. Sorry, but it is. Cmon guys.

For the F1 games the Xbox updates are usually a few days after the PS4 updates. It'll probably be the same with DiRT Rally 2.0. ---------- Here's some Historic Championship gameplay, AI Difficulty is set to 100

I've asked on Twitter when they expect the FFB to be fixed but they said there's no ETA. They really need to get it sorted for full release tomorrow or there's going to be quite a few unhappy customers for them to deal with.

@cmMikeRobson This can't be correct. There are 5 clicks to the left and 5 clicks to the right of the default/centre, so if the centre is 55 and the increments are in 5's, then the furthest left on the slider would be 30, and the furthest right on the slider would be 80. Please can you confirm the correct numbers. Many thanks.

There's a possibility for it. If the Season 2 is full RX as rumored, the 2001 Impreza we've already seen in today's video has to be somewhere else... Moreover, I doubt they'd put the car alone, at least the 2000 Focus is bound to come back, and this doesn't fit in the six cars for Season 2 because we know the 4 Gr.B Rallycross are coming back alongside a modern day Mini. And there are still Gr.B RWD cars and F2 Kit Cars
