I know this has been discussed before but yesterday I played more Career mode and I found something completely off. I hope you can see the attached photo. It is the end result of the New Zealand rally in "Clubman" tier. Yes, I'm the Hungarian dude in second place. But there is something absolutely incredible going on there if you look at the final times. How come there is one AI that completes the rally (6 stages) 1 minute 20 seconds faster than any other AI cars? How can it be so much faster when it's only "Clubman" difficulty? I would agree I must be a noob if every AI was faster than me but you can see I completed the rally quite well, I beat all of them (I won 3 stages out of 6) but yet that one AI is ridiculously faster than all the others. Like that S. Bernard was from another tier completely. This is what makes Career mode so hard to enjoy. You go extremely well, in the green, you win stages but then the game decides that one AI is 1:20 faster than the rest, and 0:36 faster than you. How does the game simulate these times? And why does this happen at even the second difficulty level? On a different note, I was playing in Free Play as well and it is ridiculous. I put the AI difficulty down to minimum (1/100)! When I drove the R5 VW Golf, I could win any stage with huge amounts of time, I mean even more than a minute. Obviously not a challenge. However, at the same difficulty I switched to the H2 FWD class (VW Golf) and I lost every stage, the AI was way too fast, even on the minimum difficulty setting. Something must be glitched in this game because there's no way there's so much difference in my driving between different classes. This makes the game completely unpredictable, random and very hard to enjoy.

Come on codies...its 2019. Who in their right mind allowed the ridiculous rain graphic to pass development. Its bad enough the headlights dont illuminate far enough in front of the car to push in the dark...then you add a sheet of white lines that looks like they are straight out of a sega genesis game from 1997 makes it impossible. Please for the love of god fix this.

Codies, please give some attention to this. It's a pretty game-breaking issue.

Don´t know anything about coding games but tweaking AI times should not be so hard. This is asked since day 1 and nothing happened, at most words "they are looking for it". Maby they are not interested to fix that. There is not lack of data doing that, world records for Master level and so on... Same case seems to be at DiRT twitter, there is much complains (99% about FFB) but not any answers from devs. Game is (still) great, sad that communicating isn´t.

Even Jon is quite a bit behind the AI as I found out by chance yesterday, these are times from one stage of New England:

Is it just me or are the Rain Physics©️ also really really weird? Let me try and explain: The rain seems to be just a basic animated texture that falls a constant rate When you are stationary, it falls straight down and looks normal However, the angle the rain is approaching the ground seems to be relative to the speed your car is travelling (weird), and the angle of the rain tilts as you take corners (weird), and the rain texture seems to move at the same speed as your car (weird). These combine to give a super weird feeling where you never feel like you are speeding faster and faster INTO raindrops no matter how fast you go, and, rain changes angle based on you, not on prevailing conditions. To put it another way, if the "wind" is blowing the rain towards me as I start a stage and accelerate ahead, then when I turn 90 degrees left that rain should now appear to come in slightly sideways from the right. Instead, in DR 2.0 it comes in sideways whilst I'm performing the 90 degree turn, and then magically corrects to be coming straight towards me again as I straighten up. Coupled with the stupid phat rain sheets that you never seem able to catch it has a weird twilight zone feeling.

Next month, Season One will be over, when will it be announced what awaits us in Season Two? For the deluxe owners especially interesting as we have already paid

Performance on the One S is unacceptable. The fps drops and stutters are so distracting and annoying. I know Codies are not the only one, but if devs can't provide the same gameplay for all platforms, then they shouldn't release the game for that particular platforms that they can't properly optimize their software for. Due to hardware limitations, lack of resources or talent, whatever. Shame because it's not a level playing field now. Playing on the stutter-fest One S against the other guys. And no it's not so enyojable in singleplayer either.... 😞

Light rain lools pretty decent. Think it shpuld just replace the heavy rain tbh.

It's all about optimisation, if you have a weaker PC, you can run this game at low settings, which looks like this: On standard PS4 (and xbox, I presume), the game looks more like the picture on the right, but it is quite blurry. A lot of people would prefer less details, but more sharpness, simply because it makes driving easier.

Easy killer. Not everyone has $500 to spend on a new console to fix an issue that shouldn’t be present to begin with. If it plays on XB1 original or S, then it should be optimized accordingly for whatever version of the console you own. I own the X before you think I am just a bleeding heart...your post is harsh. The game is the issue, not the version of console. Period.

@cmMikeRobson Many thanks for clearing that up, I must say you are doing a very good job here. If you do end up exposing the values to players, please also let them know what the numbers mean i.e. DEGREES VERTICALLY, to avoid even more confusion from the players! One more thing Mike. In OSD Settings there is an option to turn ON and OFF the Instrument Cluster. This options work in all views APART from cockpit view, where it is never visible even when ON is selected. This is a big problem because in some cars and/or depending on your FOV you will not be able to see what gear you are in. Knowing what gear you are in is very important, especially for those of us who don't have H-pattern shifters. PLEASE PLEASE can you add the option to turn it ON or OFF in cockpit view, as it is in every other view. That way everyone is happy- those who want it on or off. I know i'm not the only one effected by this as it is complained about in many forums since Dirt Rally 1. This would be very much appreciated! Thank you

You can use Winter tyres at Monte Carlo, so it’ll probably be those again.

Yes. I personally do not like how the road surface sounds have been made. Before the first patch, the sounds were better. It would be good if the player could adjust more sound effects.

It's obviously the Ford "default" R2 livery, but i do like it. I like the Blue R5 too.

Yeah, they stopped trying to make the platform work for the WRX/Impreza, they got split into two models.

I think you're confusing Dirt 2 with Dirt, they didn't remove those cars from Dirt 1, they're still there. I think you probably wanted to ask why they're not in Dirt 2 - to answer that i would say it's because there are a bunch of new cars in there, but i'll bet money on the still available previously licensed cars to be added to Dirt 2 at some point as DLC.

I have a fix for you Buy an Xbox One X, and stop spamming the forum with something that’s not fixable due to the limitations of the console you own
