That is because Project Immersion doubles the FoV value, and that only applies if you use the ini-tweak for Dirt Rally. For Dirt Rally 2 you don't do this ini-tweak so if PI gives you 65 it should really be 65/2 to be correct.

i'd like to drive the classic ferrari 312 to see how f1 was back in the days before Aero joined the party. ID love to drive on the other circuits that were available back in the day Korea, India, Nurburgring, the classic tracks such as brads hatch, Imola, Estoril the former portugal track, and Jarez the former Spain Gp track, if possible the Fuji Speedway and Nordschleife would be epic to have a run on

This is a link to my YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/c/RALLYTechnical I will be sharing all the setups I create on DiRT Rally 2.0. So if you cant be bothered or just don't know how to tune then this channel will eventually be a one stop shop for you. The most up to date setups will be in the SETUPS section of my channel home page. I will be holding polls in the community section of my YouTube channel to choose the next car. You Can find the polls here https://www.youtube.com/c/GTRTechnical/community The plan is to tune every car in the game for every location. This is what i'm calling 'phase 1'. All these setups will be focused around soft tyres in the dry and no stage deg, unless otherwise stated on the right hand side of the video, to put it simply these are more focused on max attack stage times. Once all cars are done i'll start 'phase 2'. Phase is where i will setup every car again for every location with full stage deg, for all tyre and weather combinations these will be much softer on the suspension as the focus will be on drive-ability for the conditions you face during the course of a rally and will be more forgiving when mistakes are made. In hindsight, i know i should of started with what i have planned for phase 2 but my DR2.0 setups campaign was the first time i attempted any thing of this scale and i wasn't sure if it would generate any interest (16,500 people have showed me i'm doing something good so far by subscribing to my YT channel), i've learnt a lot and listened to your feedback so i'll make sure i start off on the right foot if/when DiRT Rally 3 is released. If you like the setups obviously please show your appreciation with a like just so I know I'm still on the right track with the setups. If you want to keep up to date with the latest setups I've done, either subscribe to my YouTube channel and/or follow me on Twitter. Good luck on the stages! Yep, sorry about that, thought they would be uploaded as thumbnails, and I was having some problems with the forums yesterday night. Solved, only 5 photos now 😅

It is correct but it displays a value that is doubled. You need to divide it by 2 to get a correct value that will correspond to FOV settings in Dirt Rally 2 game menu. If you still don't get it use this simple trigonometry calculator instead: https://ostermiller.org/calc/triangle.html. In the two "Side" boxes on the sides of the triangle enter a distance from your eyes to the top and the bottom of your display, and in the bottom "Side" box enter the height of your display. Resulting FOV angle will be displayed at the top after clicking on "Compute".

The value given in Project Immersion only applies if you have done the ini-tweak that PI suggests for DR. Use this calculator to give you the correct FoV value for Dirt Rally 2.0. https://andyf.me/fovcalc.html

I think that DR 2.0 FOV is pretty similar to Assetto Corsa, i have AC FOV 35 and DR 2.0 35 and the speed immersion is close to similar in both games. If i use projectimmersion calculator, it says to but FOV to 65 in DR 2.0 and it's way off, in Assetto it says 32 and it's correct.

Found another onboard, from New Zealand. Yes, I watch a lot of onboards. Dirt stage starts at 0:45: And for comparison (not my video): Interestingly, if you play them both together, from the same point and at the same time, you can clearly see how much more grip there is in DR2, compared to reality. Agreed. They are there to prevent corner cutting/cheating, most probably.

Been using your setups on a few cars now @2Technical, they handle well If you've got any coming up for the Audi Quattro I'd be interested. Doesn't need to be location-specific, a general tune for most locations would be handy.

Xbox One S and the OG Xbox One cannot output in 4K and don't have a 4K mode in the settings. The game barely runs on One/S already, there's no way a 4K mode could work.

More diff lock gives you greater traction when accelerating or braking straight as sides of the vehicles wheels will work to pull / push the car forward consistently between them. If you decrease the wheel lock the wheel speed difference allows the car to turn more easily, but on power pulling / pushing the car forward in a straight line will essentially bleed power to the wheel with the least traction, resulting in wheel spin.

Yes I am aware. I am saying that it should look (be optimized), across all versions, not only the X. I have an X so for me it is a non issue. My post was in defence of you after MattyH’s comment about buying an X to resolve the issue. People should not have to buy a new console to enjoy the game! 🙂

Easy killer. Not everyone has $500 to spend on a new console to fix an issue that shouldn’t be present to begin with. If it plays on XB1 original or S, then it should be optimized accordingly for whatever version of the console you own. I own the X before you think I am just a bleeding heart...your post is harsh. The game is the issue, not the version of console. Period.
