2 pointsI thought this was happenning, Lost huge amounts of time with wayward handling and unexplainable highspeed spins. after first stage, gear ratios were quite obviously not the ones I had set. Come service after SS3 Gravelbusters event tuning was default, really annoying this because I know my setup was good enough for top 5 times. Needs fixing and quick please Codies thanks.

2 pointsBelieve it or not, most of the forum regulars don't have any ill feelings towards the WRC team. There is no reason for wanting either game to fail, both teams have different qualities to offer. Any good choices they implement will have knock on effects here and you only have to watch the WRC videos to see who their biggest influence has been during their development time.

1 pointIndeed. I think I have a bit of a fetish when it comes to watching the suspension doing its thing in slow motion. It's mesmerizing

1 pointI just came here to write and request the same, but checked to see if it had been mentioned already as quoted above. I agree totally with this one and request a revision because there is no way to tell if we are competing with people using ABS and traction control. In D1 leagues "assists off" were mechanical assists as you say, ABS, traction control. Clutch override wasn't considered an assist, as far as I recall as I used it in D1 and I would apper in results as assists off, and not everyone with pedals has 3 pedals to use, or an available button option anyway. I don't know if clutch override is included as an assist in CLUBS but mine is on, I can happily compete with it off tho, as for wipers yep no biggie mine are manual anyway, So maybe its cameras that are causing the results to show assists on? Should hardcore competitors and overall winner of events be those using headcam as iRacing does? So CM please clarify and or possibly review what is concidered an assist. Had I competed in gravel busters tonight with external cameras off and clutch override off I would have been in first place possibly (at the time of writing) as a competitior with no assists. Because selecting assists off in the results only shows entrants with max times. I hope member Riggs doesn't mind me adding my thoughts to his original post. Cheers,

1 pointya seriously Canada is a boring track to watch in real life, but it's one of the better ones to drive in the game. a bit like Silverstone, actually... anyways, yeah of course Latvia is great. was just playing online (for the first time ever in this game) and it was pretty fun. the AI still spin you out though. all. the. damn. time. we've had 4/4 awesome new locations added to the game now, which is very nice.
-
1 pointThe Latvia track is absolutely brilliant! The attention to detail when it comes to dust, smoke, bangs and pops is really second to none. I can sit watching things in slow motion all day

1 pointR5 is an FIA approved and homologated class, which the WRC use for its WRC2 class. It's used as a base for many countries. For modern WRC cars (since 2011), the cars are built to a ruleset owned by the WRC itself, so a car cannot be approved without their say-so. I think this is the case since 1997 too, but something may be a bit different, possibly because a number of national championships used the class, possibly because they were a derivative ruleset of Group A (A8) or possible for some other reason (or not at all).

1 pointThe fix for this (and any event you setup that returns a 404) is to create the same championship with only 1 stage and 1 event and set for at least 30 minutes in the future. After you submit the 1x1 (the website seems to struggle with large championship adds) it should take it quickly. Then you just click "edit championship" and can add the rest of the stages you want to the event. Really annoying but a consistent work around for now 👍

1 pointAssuming there's a DR3 at some point, I'm hoping this is the direction taken for that. Existing countries, more stages per country. I don't think it will happen for DR2.
-
1 pointAt least, there will be no excuses. From SDK standpoint, everything is possible but it's down to the developer of the game to implement it. I've attached a conversation with a Fanatec employee.
-
1 pointThat's what would be ideal, and what used to happen before. But WRC has reviewed their licensing and managed to restrict those. Kyloton has the exclusive package.

1 pointSteam/PC - SYRE No external mods/liveries. UNEDITED: . Slightly edited:

1 pointThis statement is hard to qualify. A lot of folks making remarks about grip, but no one here has tried the game. Let’s ensure we separate fact from opinion. I am not saying you are wrong...just that we don’t know. The handling, surface modelling and car behaviour could be spot on for all we know.

1 pointI'd definetely be more willing to pay for a season that would include improved, realistic tarmac handling, as that's the biggest gripe I have with the game right now (except for championship resets 😡). I'd also like to see certain classes, such as R5, to have their grip reduced as it's unrealisticaly high. As it stands, rFactor 2 costs the same as Season 1 DLC content, so with the limited ammount of cash that I have, it's a no brainer for someone, who prefers realistic handling, to spend it on rF2 instead of DR2 DLC. This would change if tarmac physics were to be improved though. I don't have any other wishes except for what has been mentioned already: more unique rally stages for each location, additional rally locations, with Finland as a No. 1, and a modern WRC car class, if it's a possibility. That's why I picked Season 4, as it seems to be doable in just 2 seasons.

1 pointDecided to make a wish list for season 3, because why not 😛 I'm pretty biased towards RX as you might be able to tell so bring on the Disagrees 😉 Season 3 Hyundai i20 RX & Mini Cooper RX COTA RX Subaru Impreza 2001 & Abarth 124 R-GT Rally Finland Seat Ibiza RX & Ford Focus RS RX South Africa RX

1 pointTo be fair WRC7 was a very decent game and this looks even better, as far as i am concerned you can never have enough rally games.
-
0 pointsSo the games out next week and we have had barely anything on this game! What happened to a better communication process promised not that long ago. Can't say I am excited or even thinking about buying at this point because I know very little. So theres F2 and better lighting at night? Not enough to make a sale for me.

0 points684/5000 anyway now that I think about it .. regarding the licenses I don't think they should have problems inserting other cars like the ones I mentioned in the previous post. Otherwise you can't explain why there are R5 cars (in DR2.0) that are part of the WRC2 in the real world championship ... so they didn't have obstacles with them, I don't think the licensing problem is a problem. ..... so that Kylotton risks opening a dispute for this is a risk that should be executed to have a complete game. The event is a motor sport discipline, not a dispute on the national border !!!! Nice to compare myself with you who know more! Greetings

0 pointsI've been following many kinds of motorsport very closely, since I was 12. Mostly WRC and F1. I'm 26 now. After this ammount of time, of watching those real cars perform on regular basis, I can assure you that it is very easy to accurately judge and compare a game's handling model to reality just by watching a video of it.
-
0 pointsjump from WRC 6 to 8? yeah, it only took 3 years for them to make a game that looks like it might be good. wow, that's a very low bar you're setting. o.O honestly, I'm a fan of not buying the WRC games, because their franchise exists because WRC wants total control over their product. they don't let Codemasters use their licensed cars! look at how you have to pay them directly to watch their competitions! in comparison, World RX puts everything on youtube for free - they've even uploaded all the past events from 2014-2015 too now! just kill the WRC games so the WRC can do a deal with Codemasters to include their content in the Dirt games. they're just on another level. even if you're comparing just the arcade-oriented ones like Dirt 2-4, they are way more fun to drive than WRC 7. thanks for mentioning my favourite arcade racing game of all time 😄

0 pointsBut what it has to do with Dirt Rally? 🙂I think nothing and this has no place in here. You should post these to the WRC 8 official forums.
