2 pointsIn 2018 there were suggestions to implement a difficulty option for R&D. For me that would be the best way. Everybody who wants it could take the harder difficulty and would gain less points. Standard is the default option and the guys who wants it a bit quicker could choose easy. Also what i have suggested last year, from my point of view every R&D option should have a positive and a possible negative effect. This would make the R&D much more interesting. For example a drag reduction upgrade could have a negative effect on tyre wear or an engine upgrade could lower the reliability.

2 pointsWell done mate, that's fantastic! On a similar note, I also got my degree last week in Graphic Design! 😛

1 pointIs it just me or is the R&D system way too fast this year? I mean a maxed out Alfa Romeo at the end of season two (5 seconds faster compared to beginning of season one)?! Why should I play the other eight seasons? 2018 was also that fast... but the R&D system from 2017 was perfect... they should add an option where you can choose between "quick", "regular" and "realistic" for the R&D system. Besides all the great improvements they made for carreer mode.. this really annoys me.

1 pointSold my van today. But on the positive note, I got quite good amount of money in exchange.

1 pointI did and it's bloody awesome, but doing manual labour in this heat wasn't fun lol.

1 pointYeah I saw that on Ben's video. Seems pretty crazy how far a team can advance a car in 1 season without reg changes let alone those 2 seasons that were simmed. And for the P1 time of the top car to be 5 seconds quicker from the 1st season to the 3rd? That's just outright ridiculousness! The Merc is close-ish to being maxed out and so you're saying that all their performance updates allows their car to be 5 seconds faster? Crazy! This system needs revisiting and adjusted so that R&D development is more realistic throughout a season and that car performance from start to max is not that massive a change! Basically the limit of any maxed out car should be only 1.5-2secs faster than the fastest car of the 1st race of season 1 (i.e. the Merc). Being able to max out your car needs to be slowed more as well (reduce number of R&D points earned across a weekend and the R&D rate of AI). I understand this is why the reg changes have been introduced but if it's a few seasons for this to come in, R&D for me seems too fast as it stands for this to make an impact to your R&D. All my opinion of course but it just doesn't seem to make too much sense to me atm.

1 pointCar models from previous games were absolutely used for testing when they built DR2, I drove test tracks that were previous assets a year before release, they don't exist in game and you would not have wanted them to in the state we used them in. Codies would revisit a model to upgrade it for DR2, if it existed in D4 they would likely load it in and work on it, it doesn't mean the handling was setup, or audio was there or even things lining up properly. We did see the 2002 in the well known picture, and if you wanted to call that complete and ready, sure, go for it. Wonder why we didn't get that car first but instead got another version? I know some of the devs are only allocated work at the time leading up to release, urgaffel only started work on Wales not too long ago. They're busy doing other things until then and there is always a lag from when things are finished to when they're released. They were working flat out on the release content\version until cut off time for release in February, once that arguably more important stuff is done, they can move onto further content as required.
-
1 pointSorry, that's not how this works. I see your points, but it sounds like you're complaining that there is extra content available. I'm wondering if it's because you think this content was ready before release. You shouldn't assume things you don't know the answer to and then run with them, making wild assumptions based upon a previous assumption being true. I can categorically tell you that none of this DLC was finished\ready before the game went to press (remember the game takes about a month to go through release acceptance with sony\microsoft.

1 pointoh you fan boys are hilarious. Lets back track and talk about all the mumble you guys are saying. 1) Each year codes are given to certain people, youtubers ect. Its not that hard to play the game if you know one of them. 2) Nico Rosberg has his own youtube channel. Google it. The vlog i speak of was uploaded on Jun 22, 2019 3) I could care less what Daniel is saying about the game. He is a current formula 1 driver. Its in his contract to speak of anything Formula 1 related as if was the best thing he ever saw in his entire natural born life. 4) Press: Garbage. They say the same fairy tales since F1 2010. Its a sales technique so the gullible fall into the hype. 5) I don't intend to buy this game full price nor have i pre-ordered it. 6) You can't do a full Formula 2 season in F1 2019. So if you intend to. Keep dreaming.

1 pointInput setup/mapping is certainly improved over the original DiRT Rally. It's the first CM game in recent memory I haven't needed to manually edit XML files and/or use 3rd party input mapping tools. One thing off the top of my head, it's good we can now map an action to multiple inputs & across multiple devices... eg. this allows shift up/down to be assigned both to shifter paddles on a wheel AND to a sequential shifter, so players can chop & change depending on their preference/the car being driven/whatever, without having to pause & dig into the menus, or without using external controller-to-keyboard mapping utilities such as JoyToKey (which I had to do with the original Dirt Rally). Also, it's easier to get the game to cope with "unsupported" controllers, or controllers that don't have default mappings. And it doesn't nag every launch (as some previous CM games have) about controllers not having correct mappings for all the main inputs. As for possible improvements... bobradar already provided almost word-for-word the same things I was going to type here, so I'll quote the same list to show my support for those requests... And I'll just expand a little on a couple of those points... Changing default menu/navigation controls in-game without having to dig around in the XML files (although the recently provided PDF was great for more detail on what's possible). This will be handy for VR users in future, or anyone with lots of controllers... even just to map "Pause" & menu navigation to something more static & easier to reach (a button box, or spare controller) rather than forcibly bound to specific buttons that may eg. be positioned somewhere unpredictable, because it's on a spinning wheel (especially when essentially blindfolded in VR). Understandably there's a risk of people messing up & getting stuck without a way to control the menus & edit controls... perhaps don't allow the primary keyboard controls to be edited in-game if needed, so there's always an escape route! Tooltips / More detailed explanations of the various options are always welcome (not sure if more tooltips have been added since launch, but these seemed to be severely lacking in DR2.0 in general, eg. for car setup options, FFB options, etc. were much better covered in Dirt Rally... ok for players coming from that game, we may get the gist, but newcomers to DR2.0 will be doing a lot of searching/reading to work out what the options do... anyway, stopping before going further off-topic!)

1 point1. "Sequential or H-Pattern +/- Clutch" option is a priority. 2. "Assists" - Have an option to select "Authentic" assists that correspond to the real-world counterpart. 3. Make analog handbrakes available under "input reporting" and give us deadzone, saturation, etc adjustments just like pedals. 4. Brief descriptions of options from within the GUI. 5. Let us choose not only a default steering device, but also a default menu navigation device, so that keyboard keys can show up instead of buttons.

1 pointThis!!!!! Please, Please, Please, Please, Please... pretty please!!! 😞

1 pointAdding UI text to each of the settings, with a brief explanation of what they do (like in D4 and DR1), would do wonders and I'm sure it would help a lot of people. There's some people complaining about that lack of guiding text in steam reviews. Just take what's in the PDF, shorten it as necessary and paste it in the game for each setting accordingly.

0 pointsSorry, but that's exactly how it works. Game projects work on schedules and roadmaps, I would be extremely surprised if content for Season 4 wasn't being worked on as we speak, if it's planned at all. Regardless, you are clinging to a minor argument. Whether this content was made prior to game's release or not is irrelevant, what matters is the optics of a game filled with minor DLC. You can't feel it if you're enjoying D+, but it looks absolutely repulsive on a storefront. It's not impossible. Free DLC is not an invention we haven't stumbled upon yet as a species, it's here and it works. I understand Codies want to make a buck from new content, so I don't have a problem with that - I simply don't want this game to look like a Train/Truck simulator at some point, with hundreds of $s in DLC.
-
0 pointsI have the Deluxe Edition (and I assume many others so as well), so the DLC doesn't really affect me, or at least I paid for it upfront. But if this game gets Season 3 and even 4, the amount of DLC available alongside the game will leave a poor taste in new player's mouth. While the game is on sale, the price of the DLC is nearly equal to the price of the base game, which is ridiculous. When in Season 2, the price of Season 1 content should be permanently 50% off. When we go into Season 3, same should happen to Season 2 and Season 1 content should become free. This way, DiRT Rally 2.0 becomes a better and better package with time for first-time buyers and the price of the paid DLCs remains the same at all times. It also shows a commitment to further support the game with more updates and more seasons. Lets be honest, most of this content was already finished before the release and is waiting to be put behind a paywall. A ton of negative reviews on Steam mention the DLCs and, given that it's the only thing potential buyers can actually check and see (by looking at the amount and price), it works as an immediate deterrent.

0 points1) The day iracing has a fully working Formula 1 section. I'll be first to go back to iracing. Sadly they dont even have the license to produce a full season. So no. 2) Nico continues to be a part of Formula 1 behind the scenes. Personally i would take the word of a seasoned veteran then a first time rookie like Lando Norris who is currently a driver and is paid to talk gold about F1 the game regardless if he may think its a bad game personally. 3) Very simple. Because in Formula 1 you will never see a driver on another team's car. Specially in a game that claims its trying to emulate what we see on TV. 4) F2 something even i wanted. Sadly the way it was implemented is a gimmick because it does not affect you at all. Win or loose. You are going to F1. What's the point of even doing it? It rewards you nothing. 5) Graphics are ok. The first Project Cars by Slightly mad still looks better.
