Can we not all agree that the best skill point system for online ranked races would be to base it on real life and not the size of lobbies as i won yesterday in a 6 man lobby i got 1 point yes 1 point next race i finish 5th i lost 30 points that would take me 30 wins in that lobby to regain those lost points, This system doesn't work at all and penalize those in smaller lobbies quite heavy lets get it so it's a set format regardless of lobby size so just like real life:- 1st - 25 Points 2nd - 18 Points 3rd - 15 Points 4th - 12 Points 5th - 10 Points 6th - 8 Points 7th - 6 Points 8th - 4 Points 9th - 2 Points 10th - 1 Point Also you could add an extra point for fastest lap now if you really wanted you could make - points for lower than 10th and make it backwards so 11th - -1 Point, 12th - -2 Points and so on this just seems like it should be something so simple to change i love racing online for the most part but this skill system is just so unfair due to rammers, game crashes, loss of connection etc.

With a wheel, I hated it in Formula C in PCars and I hate it in this game. lol It is always one hairpin away from needing reconstructive surgery on my wrists from smacking the wall. No clue how real drivers handle this track. Especially guys like Senna and Hamilton that just dominate it. It's going to take a Miserable 50 or 100 more laps to even get remotely good at it for this week's deal. 😕

Such is life in the Zone. Wait... someone who wasn't Mr. The Block crashed in an older classic? That's possible?

Actually these days whenever I see Monaco I think yay all new car parts. Cos. I'm gonna qualify last anyway so may as well switch out every single part for new. Last race I did there game said I had over grid penalty of over 60 I think. Still started same place... Last! My new car actually gave me a noticeable speed advantage so over the full race distance I actually made it up to 7th! With a gazillion flashbacks or course! Without flashbacks....... That should be a YouTube challenge!

1998 was the year the car was raced, but the 22B was a road car, not a rally car... ...it's been a repeat topic on this forum (and it's predecessor) for many years: I expect the mods to lead by example!

5 Cylinders and a Turbo have an adventure in the woods. Stupid me forgot to remove the timer in replays 😞 Wales is looking gorgeous!

Exact opposite for me. I'm weirdly excellent at it, having lapped the 110% AI in the Manor in 2016 and the Haas in 2017 and coming within a few seconds and a single car (Bottas) of repeating the feat in 2018, but I absolutely detest it. It's uninteresting, outdated and makes for poor racing, and the messy, crashy, slow AI only makes that worse. Multiplayer isn't an option here as racing here is the last thing you want to do with the F1 series' notorious netcode. Of the tracks on the current calendar only Baku is worse, and even that is debatable. It's awesome in GPL, but that's with the cars from the '60s. It's been more than half a decade since. And this is probably why I hate it. Qualifying is the only time it's enjoyable and that's just because you have to leave only maybe 2-3% on the table as opposed to the 10% from the race. When you have to stay that far off your limit, all pretense of skill is thrown out the window. This applies to the CM F1 rendition of Monaco more than any other because once you've learned to keep the car out of the walls, it takes more effort and skill to make the AI stick to the outside on the entrance to the Nouvelle chicane to stop it from crashing on the inside wall when defending or being lapped than it does to actually drive around on race day. Why? Hamilton is better than Senna at this point. It doesn't take much since Senna is, as of right now, not even in the all-time top 5 anymore. He was excellent for his time, but that's more because only Schumacher physically trained harder than he did and he effectively pioneered the idea of doing that sort of training. I find it amazing how people hail Hamilton as some sort of god right now yet still think that he isn't better than Senna. Hamilton never had to intentionally take his (superior) championship rival out to win against inferior machinery the way Senna did in 1990.

It's a patience track, don't push, don't force the issue, leave 10% on the table and you'll actually find out you're going quite ok.

I sooo cant bielve you put Senna in the same sentence as Hamilton, unless of coarse you ment the cool one, Nicholas. Its like RFactor 2 and Forza 7, If they only force cockpit and black screen on one circuit, it needs to be this one, As for Monaco, LOVE IT.

Quick suggestion: if you post only 1 or 2 pictures, they’ll be much more meaningful than if you post 9 or 10. Posting too many at once just dilutes their individual impact. Fewer pictures means people will spend more time looking at each one, engaging with them and being affected by them. Too many, though, and people gloss over them; it becomes the image equivalent of a giant wall of text.

Why not just play something else? Take a little break. Then you can come back to the game later and enjoy it again

I think the best solution would be to remove skill points only for DNF, DSQ and quitting (I mean mostly rage quit, not by game error or disconnection as those are two different things). Than we get most points for higher positions, max for 1st and minimum or 0 for last, but no negative points. It takes all the fun from online play, especially when you're being rammed and you get like -40 points, because it's impossible to take back your position in 5 laps race. PS. If you agree with our statements about skill rating, please upvote next to the topic title, for more recognition.

@AScott Have you seen Lando Norris streaming the game? The first thing he did was turn off the halo, and talked about how in real life you don't see it. He said you see right through it because it's so close and you have two eyes, like how you see your own nose. If an F1 driver says that there's no point arguing.

Totally realistic list, but I don't understand, why nobody wants the VW Polo R WRC & Fiesta RS WRC for a 2010s class!? I mean, the cars are pretty old right now, were in the first game...licensing can't be much harder since the first DR. Yes, BigBen has the license for WRC, but we have the C4, wich is just 3 years older than the Polo R!?
