Why stop at seasons? ...firstly, CM have a beautiful engine in graphics and physics. Why don't take the SCS Truck simulators route and build upon the current game to...let's say: "infinity"? The tarmac handling is bogged down by the AI modeling, or they would be negatively affected by a change in that area, hence is not about the engine itself. There are work around like developing an exclusive AI for tarmac or an all new AI with money from future "expansions", whatever these guys at CM find fit. (I am no programmer or dev) Let's be honest. No one really wants a DiRT Rally 3/3.0. There is no FIA requiring a new game every year like F1 20XX titles, so why don't enrich the current DR2.0 instead? Make expansions and I will happily buy it, day zero. It will mean, design refinement on overall game, possible meaningful upgrades and most importantly retention of content, which was lackluster at release but enriched with the subsequent seasons. If there are no licenses expiring, which is a major pain in the #ss for everyone. I'd say: go for it.

After playing F1 2019 for a few weeks, like everyone, I’ve come up with a few features I’d like to see in future F1 games. These aren’t complaints, I actually like F1 2019, it’s just some positive feedback and a few new ideas for, who knows, maybe 2020? A full F2 championship in career mode that actually impacts your F1 career options. No more fictional drivers, please. Option to disable mid-season transfers. For me it takes away from the realism and adds nothing in return. No more multiplayer car, maybe it’s just me, but I like to see and race with the actual real world F1 cars... and drivers. Visor Cam (check out Project Cars’ helmet cam). Look for F1 visor cam on Youtube, it looks spectacular. Looks like fun. Dirt Rally-style F1 team management: Mechanics, R&D, agent, pit crew, etc. Instead of doing the same practice sessions over and over again (year after year) for research points. Get rid of the reporter, let your accomplishments and behaviour on track (and team management) decide your stats and rep. Updated post race animations. Historical tracks and keep the 2019 tracks that don’t make onto the 2020 calender. Use it for multiplayer, time trials, invitationals. Please, no more fictional drivers and their scripted drama. I just read about the Nemesis system in the new Grid game, it sounds promising and I think it would be a great way to get a natural random rivalry going in the F1 career too. (With real world F1 drivers please) No more microtransactions, cosmetics or other. Seriously Codemasters, don’t go all EA on us now. I’m all for extra dlc or a season pass for more content, but not those dirty microtransactions. Please substitute the stuffy old first person paddock/workstation enviorment for a sleek new no nonsense menu system. Tyre punctures, from collisions or on track debris. More spectacular and realistic crashes and damage. There’s like one crash animation in the game. We’ll be oke, we have halo’s now. Select real world drivers helmet designs for your driver. Truck Racing Championships.. just kidding, please don’t 😀 Ofcourse this is just my opinion; and even with all these things mentioned above, like I said, I still enjoy playing F1 2019. I like the car handeling, leagues, F2, the cars, weather and tracks all look great and it’s just fun to play 👍 ___ TL;DR: focus on a more realistic and fun on track experience, less tedious off track fluff and drama.

Ok, so there has been a lot chatting around this subject for a long time, and it's time to make statistics work so everyone can know what we're dealing with here. Season 3 is almost guaranteed, provided there's enough content hinted to fill that season. However, there's absolutely nothing about an hipothetical Season 4, and that's where we come in. Would you buy a Season 4+ and what content would you like see from that season on? Post your suggestions and ideas, as there is A LOT left to add in this game. Here are a few ideas: - Super Special Stages for each rally, like in DiRT3 and previous titles. These are similar to RX circuits and provide a Head 2 Head experience (see here: https://youtu.be/ufNz_YQJ9fg ) - Two more long stages for each rally, to improve variety. That would make a total of 4 long stages per rally. - New rallies, besides the missing DR1 ones. E.g: Portugal, Corsica, San Remo, Kenya, etc - Early 2000s 2000cc car class fulfilled (Peugeot 206 WRC 2001, Citroen Xsara T4 WRC 2001, Ford Focus WRC 2001, Subaru Impreza WRC 2001, Subaru Impreza WRC 1997-2000, etc) - Tarmac physics 2.0. - Tyre features expanded, tweaked wear rates to make Medium and Hard compounds relevant. - Better weather system, with the ability of providing different conditions during a stage like sometimes it happened in D4 (has to be the synced for everyone in multiplayer). - Improved spectator mode / photo mode. - eSports every year, throughout an entire season like in real life. Can't think of anything else right now, so fill this topic with your suggestions. Number 1, 2 and 3 is already a lot of work 😉

hopefully been on about it since dirt 2.0 was in early conception. social media and a great picture can sell a thousand games. it really is bigger than just a better picture or some selfish reason for wanting it . not only that a free cam for eg we can get better video footage. it all helps. its annoying knowing its possible i know people who make the mods yet the studio wont. fingers crossed for the future. it is funny that the exact tools im on about that you use em pj lol.

It's not going to happen with DiRT Rally 2.0 I'm afraid. Future games though, the community pics make a convincing case 😉

been saying this for a long while. its not just for ingame. social media side is where this will shine and bring many people to the game. the better we can take pics the better we can show the game. its worth making the effort to bring this to the game. people modded it already on pc like i said they would in a short period of time. so a professional studio who makes the game really should have this in.

@PJTierney Few Mid-Season questions, as far as you are allowed to talk about these: The next patch is probably already/close-to inside PSN/XBOX certification, so the actual contained bugfixes should be set? Can we expect all the crucial gameplay fixes, namely: resetting setups in leagues, resetting Tyres in Career/Leagues, not down-counting tyres, Achievement fixes, & maybe progress with the sound-cutout? Is there a technical possibility, that we will see an update with more daytime/weather conditions sometime in future (looking at Wales...). Not if anything is planned yet, I doubt it is, but just if it is technically feasible regarding the internal way of how these conditions are implemented? Is there any ETA on when the Clubs page gets an update to make Wales selectable? Regarding Clubs, any plans of single vehicle selection and/or multiclass-event structures? Regarding Clubs, Feature request: "Copy last Season" So the admin doesn't have to click on every single thing again for a new season if it is meant to be similar structured.

This whole conversation is abit boring now, I think you should go and play a game that you actually enjoy....... Dirt 2.0 is far from a perfect game and does have a fair few bugs in it but i am still enjoying playing it and infairness to Codemasters they are trying to fix the problems when they appear the best they can. This thread has gone off topic, it’s meant to be about dirt gossip not dirt complaining!

That's some 200IQ there mate How about you stop complaining and find a new game to play, leaving these forums free for people who actually like the game to chat about it 👍

Not for DiRT Rally 2.0, but who knows what the future will bring. I'm sure the game designers have seen it 🙂

Shanghai at night + replay.... I would like we have the possibility of free camera in replays to get some great screens ... I dont think codies will add this feature but even with replay angles looks that we can take great pictures especially at night with all these default cinematic action views..

Rally Finland! Please announce it together with Greece! Also some new cars and we're all good and you guys can move on to design DR 3. 😀

The 22B was a road car designed to emulate the look of the '97 (S4)/'98 (S5) World Rally Car. "22B" is homage to the rally car: it's hexdecimal for "555" Colin owned a 22B (one of the #000 cars), but it was a road car, not a competition car. There is a complete post about it here:

1998 was the year the car was raced, but the 22B was a road car, not a rally car... ...it's been a repeat topic on this forum (and it's predecessor) for many years: I expect the mods to lead by example!

It does. It's not just distance driven. There's simply no data showing it but several tests have been made. The whole tyre system is very well made and is working as intended, we just need the bugs concerning the spares to be fixed, so that people actually care about taking spares with them.

If there will be enough "power" and someone will pass this to devs, than there is a slightly chance that they will realize that we don't like the current skill rating system. I know that all devs and community relations with Codemsters are a disaster. But if we don't ever try, than it's our own fault that we are giving them money for a broken games and don't learn from previous broken games.
