Hello Faya, That's not a proper anwer. You said nothing about the issue. You just say Codies is aware this topic exist. That is not satisfaying. We want a true answer, YES or NO online championship mode will be introduced in F1 2019. And if YES, when? 1 months, 3 months, 1 year? That's all we want to know at this moment. If it's NO, just say it and close the topic, we all will be disapointed and surely not buying your F1 games anymore since this problem isn't fixed. At least, can you tell us why this feature was removed? I'm sure it was to promote e-sport instead in hope players that play unranked will switch to league but you mess it so much... correct me if I'm wrong... please.

I agree mostly PJTierney, but for me we need more road texture everywhere (but specially on Tarmac).

I just got the game today. My friend and I play the online championship on F1 2018. We like this feature because you can save after each race and see who is champion at the end. I am very disappointed that this mode is not on the 2019 game. I can create one using the multiplayer unranked, but there isn't a way to save it and come back to it.

As the title says, we need more info on the steering wheel screen, especially for people who drive in cockpit mode. At the moment vital info is missing, such as fuel mix, breakballast, delta to car in front or back etc. Here is a picture of the App "SimHub" that shows what the bare minimum could be like: Also, having access to full access to customization would be really cool, eg.: color, size, location, type of info etc.

Yep. I think you're right with your ** caveat there – they're effects designed for the rumble motors in controllers, so don't really translate to wheels. If a wheel actually has a rumble-style motor in it, then great, enable the effect, but many low-end wheels are probably too coarse – they can't vibrate at a high enough frequency or small enough amplitude to make an 'engine rumble' effect viable. On direct drive wheels, sure, it's probably doable. I personally think this part is fine. It feels similar to Assetto Corsa, in that most of the time you aren't feeling anything because the suspension/tyres are absorbing any bumps. It's only on significant bumps that you'd feel anything, and Spain doesn't have many of those. In Germany you can certainly feel them, and of course we're driving rally cars here, not track-focused cars with super hard suspension. Maybe a little more vibration for tarmac surfaces would be good, but imo the problem with tarmac isn't the surface, it's something else (perhaps lack suspension loading feel, as per below). Not really, imo. The problem I think is more a lack of anything beyond oversteer/self-aligning torque on the front wheels. In a sense this is like you're feeling what the rear wheel are doing, but only because of how it affects the pull of the front wheels. Adding some kind of front tyre slip effect would help here. Well it kind of does, due to self-aligning torque (this is a major improvement over DR1, especially on tarmac), but as I mentioned above, that's kind of it – there should also be some tightening up of the wheel when the front wheels are under suspension load. (maybe this is what Tyre Friction is supposed to do, but if so the effect is barely noticeable). Also worth noting, if suspension load is modelled, this implies the steering should get a little lighter when under heavy acceleration, especially in rear/mid-engine cars. If suspension load is added as an effect then I imagine this point will be taken care of as a consequence. This is also something DR1 did quite well, even if maybe it was faked to some extent.

Don't you guys forget there may be a big batch of the DiRT Team busy with the VR implementation. Everyone forgets that little big detail when complaining about late patch rollouts. I may be wrong on this statement, as in it's whatever sponsor that is developing the VR implementation instead of the DiRT Team. But combine that with the fact that F1 2019 just got released, plus GRID development is at full gas to get released and there you get the answer for the delays on some bug fixes. A fact is, patches have been rolling out in a constant pace and they've been ironing out the game considerably so far. There's still a lot to fix but I'm sure we'll get there. More importantly: it's being done. It's not like there's radio silence about it anymore. DiRT4 didn't get half of the attention, and apparently it's the main title (although the Rally spin-offs have been destroying the main series).

Hi all, thanks for the feedback 👍🏻 I'm reading through now and see some patterns emerging. Does this seem correct to you all in terms of what the main remaining issues are? * Not getting enough feedback from the tyres, Tyre Slip in particular. Wheel users missing "Tyre Slip" and "Engine Torque" settings that controllers users have. ** On some locations (mainly tarmac) the road surface feels too smooth, resulting in less feedback through the wheel. Existing tyre feedback feels like it's more focused on the rear tyres than the fronts. Steering doesn't get heavier the harder you turn into a corner. Lack of vertical suspension feedback, most obvious with jumps. I'd like to drill this down to the 3 "big issues" you guys are having, as that would be beneficial when I talk to the team. 👍🏻 * Let's try and nail down the big issues that the community generally agrees on instead of chasing the final 1%. ** This may be intentional based on how controllers and wheels work differently, just my personal guess.

Dear Codemasters. Most "angry" reactions on this thread isn't true hate. It's because they love the game and want it to be complete!! We want to play this game with our friends and share the experience. Be truly honest... How hard can it be to include this feature?? This thread is a month old now. There's no way you haven't informed the devs about this. Please just talk with us, the fans of your series. E sports isn't what floats our boat. Just include a co op career. C'mon Codemasters!!!!! Listen to your community @Faya

    a) they're working on stuff, chill. most of the big issues are done. go look at the bug reporting threads. off the top of my head: AI is better. FFB is better. graphical issues are fixed. loading times are faster. rain effects are better clubs are in b) keep in mind most of the people working on the game got moved over to F1 2019 and now (probably) Grid. there probably aren't too many scenery people left for example. c) the game isn't a mess like you claim.

You just 'get' software development, don't you?

Great additions to the class. Both are quick and unique. I find it really cool you can sense the differences in each car. How you have to adapt your style to get the most from each one. Took a PB with the Lancia, then hopped in the MG and thought I'd never get close, but by the last lap managed to nail it. Well done guys, many hours, days and months of entertainment.🍻

On his website under tools there's a programme called 'Ego PSSG Editor'. You need to download that, open a copy of the original .pssg-file with the programme and import your .dds-files in the right place.

Keep in mind that the images posted here aren't as sharp as the ones I have on my PC. They somehow lose a bit of sharpness. When taking screenshot, I do change the graphics settings to ultra so it has the best quality. I have to change them when driving though as I would be stuttering the whole way otherwise. I also edit the images sometimes letting the colours be more prominent and use a filter to sharpen the image. I can basically get from the raw image to the edited image in 6 clicks using Gimp and www.fotobewerken.eu . (Sssssssssst!) Before: After:

THis ist what I wrote a few days ago. No feelings what the tyres are doing. In DR1 (yes, it is often used to explain the ffb) you can feel the tyres very well. When you drive in Monte Carlo with the little ice-fields you feel nothing about them. When you are underway on a tarmac-stage and the track is wet, you don´t feel the puddles . It is only optical... Its like driving on smooth ice or flying over the tarmac-track The suspension is done very well!!👍

Tyre slip and road texture is what I'm missing. And the reason why I'm posting this is that the Road book where 1.4 was published stated the following: "It’s worth mentioning that while this is the first big update to the FFB, it’s definitely a work in progress and we plan to refine the feeling further. Please – let us know what you think."

Basically on tarmac we just need to make it feel more like Raceroom.Take a hillclimb car in one of the hillclimb tracks in Raceroom in practice mode ,and see what we mean.Just needs more "bumps and rattle and vertical vibration" lol on asphalt............... and steering needs to specifically alter effort as car slip angle varies.

That´s it! We can feel the suspension , but we can´t feel the tyres. On tarmac the tyres are quiet - nothing to feel (Monte Carlo is a good example). The feeling of the suspension is great, but without the tyres it is not complete.
