Italian cars (and bikes) are some of the most beautiful and fast machines ever built (which includes some of my favorites ones), but it's well known that, at least in the past, they weren't particularly famous for being reliable, i guess JZStudios was alluding to that, no need to start a personal war, mate... cheers...

I finally had it figured out! Today my Arduino (AGAIN!?🤣) came in. Had to be the pro micro because of the USB compatible driver. Bought it for 2 bucks incl. Shipping on aliexpress. Bought me a box, momentary switches i already had tons of, and 2 rotary encoders. So, this afternoon Alex was soldering and tinkering again. I just threw some stickers on it, for show🤣 where you see buttonboxes for PS4 for 100's of dollars, mine cost: 15 euro's total. When connecting on PS Pro you need to check all USB ports. Mine had the arduino compatibility on the back port, but could be different on others. Also works on Xbox one (X) with this coding. Here you see how buttons now are adressed. No more extra controller! runs together with my F1 wheel. BOOM! I'm STOKED! Up to next project: Rebuilding my t3pa's to 2 pedal construction with better load cell pedal, F1 style and no more plastic casing.

It would be great if we could alter the pacenotes. Because my opinion of a 5 left is different to someone else's. And the ability to add a caution leading into a corner that for some reason stuff up every time.

There’s talk of potentially adding it to Freeplay in a future update.

Try driving in cockpit view then, you can't see a damn thing. You barely see the flashing red lights on the back of the cars.

OMG dirtfish and new content announced

I mean... Dirtfish = awesome news. Well done codies. (if someone can delete my previous comment) 🙈🙈

Throwing the cars around Dirtfish with the new physics will be great fun, it already was in D4 but now slides should be HUUUGER

Guaranteed that the handling ,as though it may be "revamped" its not totally new and will be shiiiiiiiiite.Just my opinion, as all previous ones just sucked.Cool graphics aside,(not as good as Dirt 2.0) its a at best an arcade racer. Will get it after launch, but it will probably sit just like my WRC7 copy.

Hopefully it’s Per Inge Walfridsson’s chequered flag livery for the Lancia Stratos that’s being added😁 Dirtfish test stage will be a nice addition also.

*Were not known. The latest Alfa Romeo cars have reliability that seems on par with their German rivals. Most supercars nowadays seem to have ironed out that "feeling hot today might catch fire later idk" issue they had. Besides, Italian cars have the HUGE advantage that they look beautiful even as standing still😎

^ That. I am pretty sure you have been told not to take things here personally before @ale81udine, @JZStudios comment was meant in jest... ...as said above the Italians have produced some beautiful and fast race machinery - on two and four wheels - over the years. Unfortunately Italian road cars are not known for reliability!

Not the Seat Cordoba WRC EVO 1. Give me the Seat Cordoba WRC EVO 3 any day of the week.

Yep. I think you're right with your ** caveat there – they're effects designed for the rumble motors in controllers, so don't really translate to wheels. If a wheel actually has a rumble-style motor in it, then great, enable the effect, but many low-end wheels are probably too coarse – they can't vibrate at a high enough frequency or small enough amplitude to make an 'engine rumble' effect viable. On direct drive wheels, sure, it's probably doable. I personally think this part is fine. It feels similar to Assetto Corsa, in that most of the time you aren't feeling anything because the suspension/tyres are absorbing any bumps. It's only on significant bumps that you'd feel anything, and Spain doesn't have many of those. In Germany you can certainly feel them, and of course we're driving rally cars here, not track-focused cars with super hard suspension. Maybe a little more vibration for tarmac surfaces would be good, but imo the problem with tarmac isn't the surface, it's something else (perhaps lack suspension loading feel, as per below). Not really, imo. The problem I think is more a lack of anything beyond oversteer/self-aligning torque on the front wheels. In a sense this is like you're feeling what the rear wheel are doing, but only because of how it affects the pull of the front wheels. Adding some kind of front tyre slip effect would help here. Well it kind of does, due to self-aligning torque (this is a major improvement over DR1, especially on tarmac), but as I mentioned above, that's kind of it – there should also be some tightening up of the wheel when the front wheels are under suspension load. (maybe this is what Tyre Friction is supposed to do, but if so the effect is barely noticeable). Also worth noting, if suspension load is modelled, this implies the steering should get a little lighter when under heavy acceleration, especially in rear/mid-engine cars. If suspension load is added as an effect then I imagine this point will be taken care of as a consequence. This is also something DR1 did quite well, even if maybe it was faked to some extent.

PJ is doing a superb job, but i don't think it was his arrival that got fixed the FFB and blurry ps4 graphics, those issues were fixed before, AFAIK... We have to give credit to the development team, the patches are rolling at a somewhat slow pace, but the team is working on it, and steadily fixing the main issues...

Yeah, F1 2019 🤣 i think Dirt Rally 2 has improved a hell of a lot since release. The patches since since PJ arrived were also a lot more effective at tackling the higher priority issues with the game. May have been a coincidence. Ffb, blurry ps4 graphics and AI all fixed within close proximity of each other. The first few patches back in march and april fixed minor things like font and in game text.

Honestly that sounds like your wheel settings could use some tweaks. I can huck the 037 around Wales all night pretty casually with only one hand on the wheel; you shouldn't be wrestling or breaking a heavy sweat just from rotating the wheel. Unless you like to replicate the good ol 6R4 experience by placing your PC directly behind your gaming chair to jack the cabin temps way up. Then sweating is actually a requirement.

Subscribing this for the T500RS as well. PC Steam.

Not sure if this has a place in here, but I’ll voice it anyway. Please can you add support for the PlayStation buttons in the UI when using a T300RS with the stock rim? When my wheel has buttons like X and O, it’s reallt frustrating that the game shows them as “Button 8” etc. Pretty sure DualShock 4 controllers show the correct symbols so why not PlayStation wheels?
