We need this one! Please Codies bring it back here. Even in season 4, special or car dlc, whatever! 😥❤️

The in-game livery did exist but it was used on the 1999 test car, hence why it doesn't strike a chord with most rally fans. Agree that it's a shame that the iconic livery the 2001 car actually had is unavailable but at least it's better than the 2007 Focus 🙄

I don’t mind not having the Martini livery, but we’ve said it before about the 2007 focus, absolutely no effort put into the liveries to even make it look like a car you could see on a real rally. Could the 2 liveries in the pics not have been added, the white one was used in 2003 before the far nicer big winged version was released or the blue livery from 2002. not very complicated liveries but damn are they good looking !!

They aren't meant to be accessible in the game and are supposed to come as future DLC which hasn't even been announced yet. The only way I've been able to access the Focus is by going: Freeplay 👉 Custom Events 👉 Create Championship 👉 Multiplayer Settings 👉 Public/Private 👉 Championship Configuration 👉 Add Event (Select location) 👉 Vehicle Class 👉 Up to 2000cc 👉 Add stages 👉 Confirm 👉 Start Championship 👉

I remember it from Gran Turismo 2!

Every single sponsor needs to give approval, not only on the liveries but on any official screenshots we produce for promotion.

It's not just Martini or WRC, the issue could be with any of the sponsors on the car as Codies have to get permission from every one.

Would be not better to put just the 2002 Focus WRC from McRae without Martini Logo/Names like in Colin McRae Rally 3? They could do just the livery like before. Sounds more like Codemasters have issues with WRC car licenses they could do it like this but even that it's not happening as well. 😕

Looking forward to the Estering. Just check out this onboard footage of Gronholm back in 2017 in his M-Sport Fiesta. They made a few little changes to the track, but it will give a clear indication how challenging this track is. Shame that

Thanks for the kind words 🙂 Admittedly it’s not been a good few days as I don’t like seeing players be unhappy but I’ve relayed what feedback I can to the team and they’ll do their bit, just like they’ve done with every update. 🙂 Some bugs and issues (in general, not just talking VR here) are easier to resolve than others, and some for various reasons cannot be resolved at all, but anything that can be done is looked into for sure. Nobody on the team is looking to “screw any players over” as ultimately our jobs rely on games being successful 🙂

Just drove the focus 2001 there, quiet a nice car, massive improvement from the version in dirt 1, a lot more stable. But again the liveries are pathetic for the car.

I'm just gonna say, considering both of these cars were in DR1, and the fact that they've both been released for basically everyone to try, accidentally or not, releasing them as part of a paid DLC now would be kind of a **** move imo

Issued a refund with Steam for my purchase yesterday. Awful awful Open VR performance even on low settings. Can't set sensitivity stuff for my Thrustmaster T300. And bugs...it's even worse than Project Cars 2. And this "EA-like" platform decision to exclude steam users from Oculus support, what a dissapointment. Shame on you codemasters, for releasing this garbage VR product (at least, in this way).

That's not the Codemaster's ways. Step 1: Ignore for as long as possible Step 2: Acknowledge but downplay Step 3: See step 1 Step 4: Do nothing Step 5: See step 3 Step 6: Do nothing Step 5: Tease a fix and pretend your customers are excited Steps 6 though 11: Do nothing Step 12: Ensure many months have passed, half arse a fix that doesn't actually work Step 13: Proclaim success in a blog post and never address the issue again.

Seems to me you have inappropriately high standards, and far too low a tolerance for anything that doesn't meet those standards. Saying you're "unable to play" and that the "FFB is broken" is just ridiculous. It's a rally simulator, not a steering wheel simulator; take a step back and look at the big picture, rather than hyperfocusing on one specific detail. And before you jump on the "Codies shill/fanboy" bandwagon, I do think the FFB could do with some improvement, I don't think anyone will dispute that. It just gets tiresome to keep hearing the same old, frequently ill-informed, nonsense. Honestly, your first paragraph was fine, and I agree with what you said there, but the rest of it was just unhelpful ranting which reduces the likelihood of anyone taking notice of anything constructive you have to say.

I think I am going to opt for the S1 as I find it the best car for getting sideways: and I want to get to the point where I am doing backwards entries into that corner!

It looks really rad. Can't wait to engage my 208 in that insane first corner.

I finally unlocked the trophy yesterday. Playing on PS4 here is what i did. First of all you wanna make sure you don't lose any points as it is so hard to gain them. When you're in the game make sure you prepare the connection to the internet by double tapping the PS button: PS Double tap>Settings>Network>Top of the list (where you can switch the internet connection on and off). Then go back to the game with the double tap. For the following scenarios when you have to quit you'll just hit double tap and disconnect from the internet while in the race! Then you go back to the game and the main menu. If you're in the main menu you reconnect to the internet. Be as fast as possible. You should not lose any points. Finishing 3. or better in a lobby with 8 or more players gave me positive points all the time. Lobby with less than 7 players>QUIT If you don't get on the podium>QUIT If you get too much damage >QUIT Although i'm usually racing with no assists, i turned on traction control on medium, the abs and the race line on. As you won't get spun out that easily and you can simply brake later, what helps you in the first carnage curves of online racing. As you won't lose any points you can slowly build up your score. Even if you're not the most experienced racer... at some time the luck will be yours and you'll finish strong and get some points. This thing is really a learning curve and you'll get better and better at it. Maybe this helps someone out.

There's been no update to that frame-rate post on their official Facebook page. So that's confirmed, then. 30fps on all consoles. This is a catastrophic disaster, and Codies should swoop in (somehow) and press their enormous advantage. 30fps is unplayable dreck, no matter the handling or the pretties on screen, after you get used to 60fps. Codies: if you give console players a FoV slider, and bring back dash-cam, you will help cement yourselves as the undisputed kings of console rally.

Yeah, ffb is much, much better than DR1. People really need to stop idealizing that game.

WOHOO! When will you bring something new to the game?

Guaranteed that the handling ,as though it may be "revamped" its not totally new and will be shiiiiiiiiite.Just my opinion, as all previous ones just sucked.Cool graphics aside,(not as good as Dirt 2.0) its a at best an arcade racer. Will get it after launch, but it will probably sit just like my WRC7 copy.
