1 pointThis update also caused my logitech g29 wheel to work incorrectly. The rotary dial up is not working anymore, whilst before this it worked just fine. Rotary dial down works just fine. When I try to bind the rotary dial up it sets "waiting for input" as a button. I checked if the problem was in my wheel itself by trying the dial in Project Cars 2 and it worked just fine there... Please turn it back.

1 pointdifferences between Dirt rally 2.0 and WRC8: DR2 better for: sound cars, 60fps console, rally cars list (wrc plus no license cause,ok), physics gravel, not tarmac WRC8 better for: PURE RALLY, looks special stage and landscape more real, license official, carrer mode, perk ability team, dynamic wheater, open world for testing car, real damage (no car deformation, intended breaking components that affect driving, DR has fake hardcore damage. in WRC8 after two crashes against a tree you can have real steering problems, stay with a gearbox failure, immediate withdrawal due to engine failure. the night is really total darkness. staying without additional headlights means not seeing the road. impossible to continue the special stage, puddles create an real aquaplaning effect, FFB is not ridiculous, the results influence team morale, as well as personal moral. you can be fired from the team. the game is not boring, because it is not only driving, but also a managerial part. neither of the two titles is a simulator, they have strengths and weaknesses. real pilots all know they only use RBR. the difference is that WRC is pure rally

1 pointI would like Rally Corse or San Remo. It would be great to have one of these two rallyes. But I highly doubt that we will see a Year 2 for DR 2.0, but of course, I would be buying for new rally content.

1 pointi am experience the same thing. The game is straight up horrible for us wheel users. Most of the runners that I race with on WOR and ILR had switched back to the pad to be competitive. Personally, I can't operate the pad and my wheel that I spent over $900 is now worthless, as I don't drive any other sim. BTW, I haven't scored a single point in both leagues.... also, most of the back markers are wheel runners and league leaders are 100% pad.

1 pointFor immersion this is quite significant. It would be nice if the Quattro sounded a bit more like this (with pedals):

1 pointBut since bmw was so nice with the M2, can we ask him one last favor...? 🤔🤔🤔

1 pointDon't agree with Jake at all. Hated wrc 7 physics. This is a huge step up compared to wrc 7. It's not quite reached dirt 2.0 physics but it's still great fun. The stages are lonnnng and it takes maximum concentration to complete them without mistakes. Graphically it varies. Some countries don't look on par with others. Chile for example looks really nice where as Wales looks errr not like Wales. I've done over 750 km now on the Xbox One X version and I must say I really like it. Career mode can become abit tedious and if you don't like sim city, theme park strategy games you can do season mode that cuts out all the crappy strategy games. I love rallying and have for over 40 years. Played rally games from the 80s till now. I also have a heavy SIM background but still enjoy arcadey racers too. So if I could change one thing about wrc8 it would be how smooth the gravel stages feel. Few more bumps and pot holes wouldn't go a miss. Tweaked my settings pretty much straight away on my pad settings as it was twitchy and the deadzone was huge. Sadly this developer seems to lack beta testers and does a crappy job on customer service.

1 pointDidn't notice the frame rate, too busy playing the game and replays are decent also, Jake just try it, the game is good you will be pleasantly surprised. I was and I hated wrc 7 due to the crappy handling and framerate.

1 pointXbox One When you're steering on full lock and you use manual gears, the driver will rapidly move his hand from the wheel to the gear lever/paddle. This is probably easiest to see by going in to dirtfish and using the 01 Focus as the lever is right next to the wheel but it's the same for every car. In my example, I used the Impreza which has a paddle shift system but you get the idea... (This is on a controller. Not sure if it's the case for wheel users)

1 pointMy main problem is still that camera and head movements are not exactly matched in the car, like there is a latency. It's alright in the menu. I've tried everything in 1.7: not a performance issue, changed about all the settings back and forth, disabled Motion Smoothing, re-plugged my old Vive. It's the same in 1.8 with the Index at least. If needed I can plug back my Vive in to try again, but it seems it wasn't worked on. Platform: Steam Headset: Index PC: i5 4590, 8GB RAM, GTX 1070 Deluxe edition Note: others also reported it with a different hardware or point of view

1 pointA dark spot/texture/thing appears in the middle of vision in some contexts. To repro: go to Free Roam in DirtFish (dry) with the first car (the Mini Cooper), once in the car, look at the left or right door, the ghost black texture will be there. Steam / Vive Pro / GF 1080 Ti + i7 8086K / Deluxe edition

1 pointPlease fix all these remaining regressions compared to Dirt Rally 1 (sorry, too many of them to make a single post for each): Disable SteamVR's chaperonne grid. The in-race menu is still hard to read, put it on the steering wheel and big enough, like in DR1. Remove the in-race menu blur effect, it prevents seeing the effects of changing graphical settings live. It hurts the framerate, too. Mouse support in the menu. Edit: Option for 3D replays Push back the mirror planes through their frames. They look 3D in DR1 thanks to this trick, in 2.0 they are flat.

1 pointPlatform: Steam VR Headset: Oculus Rift S PC: i7-2600k, 16GB RAM, nVidia 1060 6GB Wheel: Thrustmaster TX I installed 1.8 today, 1.7 was working fine Now when I try to drive the game stutters badly around every 2-3 seconds regularly. Completely unplayable. The stuttering then carries on into the menus. It's not present when the game first starts. Also the new update reset all my graphics options, which was a bit annoying having played around with them to get them right for my system. Help appreciated!

1 pointI had the same. Non VR my NLRv3 and Simhub works but in VR it doesn't. That's because a new hardware config VR file was added. You have to copy your motion 'lines' from the default hardware settings file to the new hardware config VR file and then it works again. Hope this helps also for you.

1 pointHi, don't know if already commented, but G29 red rotary clockwise is not working with update 1.09 Thanks for fixing this
-
1 pointOK there's no need to unlock anything, just use the same method to let use custom livery from sub-folders like you did the same for all other cars What you give us with DLCs are pretty bad. Especially the 2001 Ford Focus Rally comes with boring, poor looking liveries.

1 pointDo you guys also sometimes lose engine sound between sessions in multiplayer? For example in Q1 you do have the engine sound and in Q2 it is gone. Very weird.
