My point of view. Track should be fixed. Cuts should be removed by placing obstacles and/or penalties. Shift Qualification. To drive with this cutting feels not ok. I cant belive that this extreme cutting is possible. I dont want to cut. Please fix it.

True story. I don’t work in IT, but rather in Sales for tech-based company, and in our line of work hours of operation for IT or NT are 24/7. System resets, network and connectivity issues are an omnipresent issue in this day and age - especially with the increasing amount of DRM and IOT (smart devices and perpetual connectivity). Pretty crappy that we can’t play on the weekend because no one is available. Worst of all, most of these DRM issues can be addressed remotely. It’s not like someone has to power down the mainframe, or hit the big red ‘RESET’ button, lol CM - if you want to have an always on line game - and control single player activities via remote server like Race Net - then implement it with the understanding that additional costs will be incurred to support and trouble shoot outside of normal business hours.

"Out of office hours" LOL. I work in IT and my life is like a doctor on call. I would never leave my clients hung out to dry like this. If I did, I wouldn't have any clients. The internet, and anything requiring/involving it, is a 24/7 job. Period.

I can confirm that a reset to the championship progress has been done for me Credits/cars etc are back to normal connectivity is normal again So everything is ok I guess Thank you for the help CM but please listen to your community and remove the always online for the career It’s giving us nothing but problems. We really love the game otherwise we wouldn’t be so aggressive with this

Will try. Sorry for the inconvenience we’ve caused you.

Don’t Codemasters realise that most of their customers use their service “out of hours”? that’s when we need it to work most... i’m gobsmacked they have no one monitoring the game out of hours, particularly when they made the decision to make the game always online, even for the AI career mode. If today was a bank holiday it wouldn’t get fixed.

While by no means unplayable, this game (like its predecessor), is lacking in this domain. Perhaps this post belongs in the FFB thread (?) - but I feel the FFB in other locations is livable and quite good all things considered. However, the tarmac stages leave me ‘wanting’. Improvement in this capacity would absolutely make this game feel ‘whole’... I hope we see a future patch address this, it would be amazing if CM could recreate the same kind of true-to-life feeling on paved surfaces as they have captured so well on gravel/dirt.

Since you guys cannot keep your RaceNet servers up and running without disconnections, getting kicked from championships, or losing all credits and career mode progression I would love to donate a server on the west coast. I also have another on the east coast and in Finland. Seriously. How much more money can I give you guys so I don't have to deal with your RaceNet issues? This is ridiculous. Over 20 people in my Discord community get together from all over the world every Sunday to have a day of Rallying together, but RaceNet keeps dropping us from the championships we're creating. Please, fix your servers.

hey codemasters, is it possible to fix the suzuka bump finally?

The dairy company I used to do IT work for has a 24/7 based IT system and their net worth is just 20% of CM's net worth. Just so I can state this again to make things blatantly obvious, a small dairy company in the middle of nowhere USA has a more reliable IT staff & infrastructure than CM and make nowhere near the amount of money that CM does. I guess CM's priorities are clear, i.e. "Give me $90 for an unreliable product." I honestly don't know what's worse here. The fact that there's no IT services available for the weekend (when I can reset servers on my iPhone) or the “I really don't care, do u?” attitude about the massive amount of unsportsmanlike cuts that are egregiously littered throughout the entire game, effecting every stage, rendering leaderboard times completely useless. I guess I should just be thankful and buy the Super Deluxe Uber Edition of DR2.0, because you seemingly can't afford to care about anything at this point. Not even an official statement on your twitter account and it's past 8 a.m. in the UK right now.

I can't overestimate how much goodwill Codies would generate for this series if they created a separate off-line career mode, as an addition to the current on-line one. It would shake away the uneasy feeling that we do not actually possess a full game, despite having paid plenty for one. Right now it feels like Codies are forcing us to rent a career mode (the guts of the game) until the next iteration of Dirt, and at some point we will be forced to discard this one. What happens in 20 years from now? Can Codies promise we will still be able to play a career of some sort in this game? 30? 'Oh, by then there'll be something much better' doesn't cut it. There was nothing better than RBR until now, and at any rate, the number of mods for that game still makes it worthwhile. Plus a career mode where you do not have to look at the damn words 'connecting to Racenet' and experience the trouble as players above have just received, would be so good it would feel, well, like a normal freaking game.

Same here. I emailed customer service. I hope to see all the effort magically reappear. Struggling to keep my cool after all that money and time spent.

The problem is that make everything to run on racenet but they don't have anybody monitoring it on weekends and holidays. I remember back in the DR days online racing was down during a whole long weekend! There was nobody there to even acknowledge the issue.

I just logged on to dirt Rally 2 to find all 4 million credits of mine are gone along with all my accomplishments to date. *** is this and why? What the hell happened? I don't want to start all over again. Apparently there was some dependency between Racenet and local info so the reset my account to ZERO everything I have done for the last over 6months is gone no progress no credits everything gone . I had just paid through season 4 and had everything you get with the deluxe version and now its all gone. And I can't play the game I paid for at all won't let me race or anything. I need someone to explain how they can just do this and why? I feel like I just got suckered bad.

This game 100% needs another patch, the FFB is done, car sliding around like crazy, just dont have the feeling anymore. Poor AI balance, I play on my T150 wheel, dominated the entire weekend in Sochi by 7 seconds, had very great pace, come Suzuka (on the same 107% AI level) I am 1 second slower that the AI. The AI has crazy traction out of every turn in S1, its a shame. And cant count the bugs. This game had potential to become great, and spectacular, but after 1.05 patch all went downhill. I wont even talk about the disasterous understeer. I play the f1 2018 from now on, at least it feels more realistic, and the game is better as the 19. At least I can feel the car.

Same thing happened to me and a ton of others over on the Steam Discussion boards. Its been an all day issue as far as I know and not a single word from CM about it. Hope this gets ironed out somehow but it kind of feels like it might be tough ****.

Loosy surfaces are too grippy too. It's unbelievable how quick a car stops when sliding sideways. But this is design decision IMO, I doubt they will change it ever.

For real it’s ugly.. I think to avoid all of this we have to know what are we racing for, I mean even if these cuts resolved, practicing the track limits is not that good, we miss the whole concept, at least considering the poor co-driver who leaves his wife and children screaming the calls losing his voice to tell us that he had a job and dreams what if someone says to him you are useless! That’s definitely hurt! we just setting our best times, imagine if F1 setting the best lap of the circuit as the end the race ... no one will even watch it, because there is no race, also here in rally the race is about no practicing, even the test site in wrc should be outside the itinerary of the rally, that’s how the rally very strict at this point. The game is amazing, we just miss a start point.
