5 pointsI believe it was limited to specific retailers and countries. We've got a few spares, I wonder if I can arrange a giveaway or something in the future 🙂

2 pointsIf we are talking about MP can we also get a "ready" option after each stage that all players can check to expedite the process of moving on? Seriously, spending 30 seconds after everyone finished a stage gets old fast when you have a decent lobby of drivers who always race together. We're normally ready to move on 5 seconds after the last finishes, we don't need to wait around. Then when an event ends, you've got something insane like a 60 second wait. WHY?! Seriously, why isn't there an option to just move on to the lobby/next event? Why do we need to sit there staring at useless info for 60 seconds?

1 pointDRC - DiRT Rally Championship https://www.dirtrally2.com/clubs/club/39043 Open for everybody, so everybody who feels like participating can do so, no matter how active you are in the forum, and you will not be kicked if you might be inactive for some weeks (As long as you're not cheating of course). If you have ambitions for winning regular participation might be helpful though. On to the rules: Every DRC-Season will consist of all Rally locations, including DLC. One Season has to be completed with the same car! Every event (rally) will last for 3 days and 12 hours. (Making two events fill exactly one week) Each Rally will consist of 7 Stages The first 6 Stages will only consist of the 4 long stages (2 will be repeated). SS1 ,SS4 and SS7 will have Service Parks. SS 7 will be a short stage. Restarts are disabled, Alt-F4-ing is prohibited and will be punished if discovered. Having a Service Park 3 stages apart highly encourages less risky driving (as real world), as you have to cover 30-40km of stage between services. The Reward for a Championship is as follows: 1st: Is eligible to pick the Vehicle Class for the next Season. 2nd: Can pick one of five Season Structures from this Overview: 3rd: Can select which Rally needs to be excluded next season. Only 12 can be put into a championship, but 13 are in game. 4th: May pick the Safari-Rally (Service Park structure of 2/5. Five stages to be conquered in one go) 5th: May forecast the Weather-Rally (Pick one location and cherry-pick the weather options to your liking. Night has to be less than 50% though) <spoiler> ---SUSPENDED until further notice----- The DiRT Legendary Trophy https://www.dirtgame.com/leagues/league/34459/drc---legendary The DiRT Legendary Trophy, powered by the DRC. It is a seperate competition and fully independent from the DRC standings. It consists of 24 stages with over 270km of road and covers all countries available. It only has 2 Service Parks , one after the first quarter and one at the half way-point (after 12 stages). Saving your car and driving more catiously is the key here. "To finish first, you first have to finish" is what you shall have in mind. Car choice is completely free for everone here. Everybody, who finished the Legendary Trophy (read as: Not retired) is allowed to wear one of these Badges in their signature: ---------------------------- Anybody seen with such a badge, who didn't earn it will be kicked from this league without further notice! ---SUSPENDED until further notice----- </spoiler> Cheers, SkyRex

1 pointGrid starts and sprints come down to who can cheat better. Quali is the only race worth racing. At the start, if the guy starting in 6th immediately darts over and hits you, he should auto lose. Cut the corner at the Nouvelle chicane at Monte Carlo? Auto lose. Side by side down a straight and you ram your competitor? Auto lose.

1 pointJust found these on my old computer Codemasters Colin Mcrae Rally 2005 Could be good if Codemasters could get these cars in Dirt Rally 2.0 It must be easy if they have these files yet.

1 pointThe one stage that opens with the downhill over jump/crest into hairpin right - I think the stage is Ampelonas Ormi. If you don't know that hairpin is there, the call doesn't come until you're in 6th gear halfway to redline and 50ft passed any kind of braking point that might be able to save you. The real problem is Phil just rambles on and talks way way wayyy too much. If they removed every other word he said, the notes would probably all be on time then and we wouldn't lose any pertinent info 90% of the time.

1 pointIt´s the same here. Good framerates, bit when I move the head to left or right, up or down there is small lag remarkable. Very annoying.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PC 8700k, 32GB, 2080ti, SSD only, Valve index @80Hz (no change with 90hz or more - only more stuttering)

1 pointPlease. please, please disable, or have an option to disable, the chaperone in the Steam version. I have roomscale VR setup, but my racing cockpit setup is obviously outside of where I can move around freely without bumping into things. The net result of this is that when I start driving in Dirt Rally 2, I see a big box outlining the floor where my play space is in front of me that is distracting as hell. I've set the chaperone to the Developer setting and reduced the Alpha channel as much as I can, but I still see a white 2 x 3 meter box just off to my left (see attached image). I raised it as a support ticket with Steam who said there are no 'official' ways of disabling the chaperone beyond what I've already done, but the game developer can choose how and if the chaperone is called into play and they suggested raising it directly with you. Right now my only option is to run the room setup each time I want to use a different type of VR experience, but even then when setting up as standing only, I still have a white circle beneath me in Dirt Rally 2.

1 pointI must be extremely naive. I had never thought that perhaps Codemasters had programmed bots to cheat. The idea that they may have deliberately coded bots to rear end you at full speed as you are braking into a turn or pushing you off the track on the grid is really a very disturbing thought. I have always understood that the field of AI cars are not there to make your life easy, but if your opponent is a cheating bot, then this game has even less than the little credibility I gave it.

1 pointGreece + R5s and RGTs = Perfection Loved this venue as the first place I learned to enjoy the 70s RWDs in DR1 and great to have it with all the DR2 upgrades in. Thanks for sticking at this game, it's finally turning into something much greater than the sum of its parts.

1 pointCompletely agree. What a bunch of LOSERS. Can't win without cheating, even if they spend hundreds of dollars on their cars.
-
1 pointAgree. They need to make practice programs worth doing long term. Track acclimatisation, ERS Management and Fuel management are pointless IMO. Race strategy is good as it gives you data out the other side (e.g. tyre wear and strategy info) and qualifying program is also good to check your overall setup so can stay for each practice I think. Aside these, they need to make some new programs and mix them up from weekend to weekend so it's not the same each time. For example, why not have programs related to the R&D part you are currently investing in (e.g. testing the part vs current part it will replace to see if it works or fails). If you pass by a bit, it will take the full time specified to make, if you pass by a large amount, the part could be made available slightly earlier. If you fail it could take longer to produce. Of course there could be many more and likely better ideas to this but I can't actually think atm, lol. Could even have aero paint on your car when testing which would be cool to see. That way depending on the part, you'll have different programs to run and makes it worth doing and less repetition.

1 pointI'm interested to know if you have done a full length 10 season career with full length races/practice and qual? Or anyone who has like me done that and been so glad to quit those abominable repetitive practice sessions finally! After 3 seasons you still really want to do track acclimatisation sessions? Even though now you have your own lines and passing these is beyond annoying and distracting? I know all the tracks inside out, I know how to conserve fuel, I know how to manage ERS , I know how to manage my tires. The only thing of interest now is my race tire wear in upgraded car and my qualifying speed against other drivers.

1 pointWouldn't it just be a percentage of points? Choose difficulty 1 and you get 1% of normal points (that would be insane! Haha) and 50 = half points and so on. Shouldn't be that difficult. Only issue would be the AI R&D - what happens there?? Regarding your previous post, I do think that Codies have still got it wrong from what I'm seeing. Yes you could say that some were complaining 2017 was too slow and now complaining it's too fast so they can't win but they can win. It just means that perhaps they've gone too far the other way. Just needs fine tuning. I just think that it should be that it's not possible to fully max out R&D. You can't tell me that there is 1 team out that say they have the perfect car with no upgrade possible? They are always looking to update the car. Yes you could max out a department (aero, chassis, engine) but never all; you chose what department to focus on and the points earned reduced to make sure this never happens. That would slow it a bit. The 5 second improvement however you must agree needs to be looked at, no?
-
1 pointIn 2018 there were suggestions to implement a difficulty option for R&D. For me that would be the best way. Everybody who wants it could take the harder difficulty and would gain less points. Standard is the default option and the guys who wants it a bit quicker could choose easy. Also what i have suggested last year, from my point of view every R&D option should have a positive and a possible negative effect. This would make the R&D much more interesting. For example a drag reduction upgrade could have a negative effect on tyre wear or an engine upgrade could lower the reliability.

1 pointYeah I saw that on Ben's video. Seems pretty crazy how far a team can advance a car in 1 season without reg changes let alone those 2 seasons that were simmed. And for the P1 time of the top car to be 5 seconds quicker from the 1st season to the 3rd? That's just outright ridiculousness! The Merc is close-ish to being maxed out and so you're saying that all their performance updates allows their car to be 5 seconds faster? Crazy! This system needs revisiting and adjusted so that R&D development is more realistic throughout a season and that car performance from start to max is not that massive a change! Basically the limit of any maxed out car should be only 1.5-2secs faster than the fastest car of the 1st race of season 1 (i.e. the Merc). Being able to max out your car needs to be slowed more as well (reduce number of R&D points earned across a weekend and the R&D rate of AI). I understand this is why the reg changes have been introduced but if it's a few seasons for this to come in, R&D for me seems too fast as it stands for this to make an impact to your R&D. All my opinion of course but it just doesn't seem to make too much sense to me atm.
