3 pointsI don't want DR 3.0 if CM let me pay for new contents for DR 2.0 for ex. every second months I want DR 3.0 to be released, when its gr engine will be able to handle more than 16 kms only.

2 pointsYes, that would be great! I really miss the «hot seat» mode playing rallies and championships with three of my friends. 😊👍🏻

2 pointsIt's not about being aware - it's about seeing that the community wants this enhancement enough to prioritize it over other enhancements. Threads show there is more than one or two people who want the feature, so the dev team can then move that feature up to get it into production sooner

1 pointYou could add (maybe later this year by patch) the option to restrict or fix the cockpit camera to all lobby players, as in other simulators like Project cars, there is an option that requires all players to use same camera, this would be very good to improve the experience and in championship events, make everyone can use the same camera, because today it is common for faster players to use the top camera. What do you think of the idea?
-
1 pointYes cockpit view it is ridiculous not to have the possibilty to force it to all players!

1 pointAnd if the cuts at Kopina are not exploits, then I'm a duck. So it's a clear violation of the rules, also known as cheating, and should be penalized. Whether or not it takes skill is irrelevant.

1 pointThere is no mention of Turbo in repair menu of BMW M2 Competition. But - it's still breakable. So after you break it - you can't fix it. There is just no option to do that in repair menu. So you're stuck with a slow car with no turbo pressure. FOREVER.

1 pointyah, I've finished them all now. you get something for winning the R5 one, but that's it 😕

1 point@MaXyMsrpl sorry i m late but i totally agree with you , @PJTierney you need listen really simracer in priority , having a low (or very low) rotation angle turns your simu game into an arcade game. i have 2 TSS handbrake and TH8A , it is not hard to use, you will not break your hand, and I tested the hardware of FANATEC at the PGW (paris games week) and it is not hard used too
-
1 pointno the point is some wont take them because they see them as cheating or they dont know about certain cuts. that said person could finish one second behind the top guy who has cut. as said at some point someone will qualify with a cut time over someone who hasnt used a cut or cuts. and lost for it. is isnt skillful driving across a field its easy. people who are quick can do almost exactly same runs time after time within a 100th of a second. so cutting a corner isnt even a skillful thing .

1 pointYeah , Cockpit View for Serious Racers, changed my view back to T-Cam the other day as I was struggling to see some meterage boards , and I couldnt believe how much easier and faster T-Cam is . But I refuse to race with it as I dont want to feel I`m participating with the cheating , just for the sake of being faster. A real and Proper Assist.

1 pointpersonnaly i listen the motor when i change the gear but codemasters add gear in option , example is possible to remove the wheel when you drive in onboard , is possible codemastters add the gear in option too why not for the futur . so if you want drive authentic car you remove gear in option or if you the gear add this option

1 pointReal cars did not use SimHub. So much for full authentic

1 point@PJTierney Been doing even more testing on and off today, I was running with the Oculus performance monitor open within my HDM. If I have either of my two TH8A shifters plugged in, I get a spike every 2 seconds that tanks the performance of the system. Unplugging both the TH8A shifters solves that problem. Only issue is, I like to actually use them for the purpose of shifting (one is in H pattern mode), and the other for use as a handbrake. Even with that taken into account, I still get insane amounts of stutter on Spain, especially if there are buildings present in view. Regardless of graphical settings. Every other stage appears playable if I disconnect both TH8A shifters. And even the HMD tracking stutter was completely gone while looking left/right. Just from removing my 2 TH8A shifters. This USB polling issue and the VR stuff really needs fixing. P.S I was running with everything on "high" with screen space reflections set to "replay", Crowd turned off, and the advanced camera/lighting effects set to "replay". Pretty much the same settings as in the video in my last post. My FPS was a rock solid 90 all the way through my testing, even on the stuttering mess that is spain. I looked at the GPU and CPU useage after running a couple of sprint stages, and my CPU usage on a 6700k was at 30 to 40%, my GPU (gtx 1080) usage was between 50 and 70%. For what ever reason, the ultilisation by DR2.0 is low.

1 point@PJTierney Could we please have a slider or option to select something between "Enable locked orientation" in the VR comfort settings? Locked to vehicle is probably my preference but over really bumpy roads it would be nice to have a little "head physics" but not all the way to the floaty locked to horizon. Hope that makes sense. Basically something in between on and off would be ideal.

1 pointI have the 2 second stutter issue in the original Dirt Rally, which I've tracked down to it polling for new input devices. I suspect it could be the same in Dirt Rally 2.0, which I don't yet own, but I've been keeping a close eye on for VR. I'm using Windows 10 x64 v1903 with a Valve Index HMD and the current SteamVR beta. I captured a CPU snapshot of the spikes seen in the SteamVR Frame Timing window. That showed the activity was a call to DINPUT8!EnumDevices, which came from drt.exe via the Steam overlay hooks in GameOverlayRenderer.dll. Back in drt.exe it was sleeping for 2000ms and then looping back round to enumerate input devices, presumably to check if any new controllers had been plugged in. Editing the 2 second sleep to 10 second changed the frequency of the CPU spikes in the timing window, confirming it to be the source. Why it stalls everything so badly isn't currently known, but is probably a shared lock somewhere. Could someone in the development team check if it's the same issue with DR2? Ideally, could that thread only be polling in the menus and when the game is paused? If I get a chance I might knock up a utility to disable the device enumeration a minute after startup. Edit: For a quick test on the original Dirt Rally I've just hex-edited drt.exe and changed the sequence FF 68 D0 07 00 00 FF to FF 68 D0 07 00 01 FF. That causes it to enumerate devices only once and then sleep for a loooong time. As long as my wheel/pedals/shifter are plugged in when the game is started it's fine, and the game no longer glitches. It may be a different instruction pattern in DR2, and any module changes could trigger anti-cheat protection, so experiment at your own risk!

1 pointWhile they are work on this, please make it possible to make an custom event with all stages in a country and then play the event with 1-4 people like the old CM games :)
-
1 pointHey there. The team picked up on this thread and something's in the works for the near future 😉
-
1 pointIt´s the same here. Good framerates, bit when I move the head to left or right, up or down there is small lag remarkable. Very annoying.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PC 8700k, 32GB, 2080ti, SSD only, Valve index @80Hz (no change with 90hz or more - only more stuttering)

1 pointPlease fix or provide an option to reduce the extreme image contrast, resulting in almost constant over-exposure in cockpit and extreme scene brightness fluctuations. To reproduce: get in any car, any stage in Sweden with heavy snow weather, lean forward against the windshield then back, notice the huge brightness change and how, when sitting back, the outside is way too bright (over-exposed). Sweden under heavy snow is simply unplayable in VR, I had to stop my career because of this.

1 pointI couldn't care less. Convenience/accessibility ahead of slavish realism.

1 pointWow, imagine being the kind of **** that wants fewer people to enjoy this amazing game. Not much of a rally lover tbh.
