2 pointsDon't think I have ever seen so many bugs in a game during the first hour of play. The biggest issue isn't a bug, just a massive oversight by the looks of it, quite simply why can you not create 'open' lobbies????? Then when you do play in a friends-only lobby we have the following issues: Players were joining the lobby that wasn't even playing the game and was not on any of our friends' list (sounds like an open lobby but of course isn't). One was playing Forza 7 and the other 2 were offline. Yet their cars started each race but just sat on the track. The lobby was set to no AI and yet there were AI cars in every race. At the end of each race when you got close to the finish line on the final lap several AI cars would drive really slow blocking the road as if they had finished the race but were nowhere near the line. At the start of each race, some of us didn't get the 3-second countdown until all other drivers had started moving causing collisions at the start. The hot lap leaderboards were all other the place with the top time usually around 3 seconds. The rest of the leaderboard had people finish 1st on track but halfway down the timing screen. The leaderboard times were often in black so couldn't be read. Other times they were just blank. When doing a hot lap you could start after the countdown, be driving down the straight and be given a warning for going off track and invalidating your time when you never went near the edge of the track, let alone going off it. The game would often crash after a hot lap, showing some people the leaderboard and others just their car driving around with no way to continue. Quite often after a race, the leaderboard would not display for some, just had the view of their car until the next race. During a race, the current positions at the top of the screen were often incorrect, showing almost everybody in the wrong position. I'm sure there was more but don't remember off the top of my head. Shame really, after being a huge Grid fan for many years was looking forward to this, but as it stands it's a bit of a joke. On the plus side, the game looks good and the cars handle well, somewhat limited on tracks but hopefully, more will be added. Just never been let down so badly by multiplayer, let's hope it gets fixed, and soon.

2 pointsIn a friendly manner, redo the whole game. This feels like a demo for a mobile game. The Menu is a mess, we have no settings for MP or SP. Where is drift / drag / hillclimb / crash derby ? The Car selection is nothing less then a joke. Sorry but it looks so obvious that a big amount got cut out to resell as dlc / ultimate edition content. The Ai needs a complete overhaul / rework. On some tracks it just drives like a rocket and on other tracks it's like racing against people that barely find the pedals in their cars. Graphics are washed out and look like the end of xbox 360 / ps3 era even on max PC settings. Cars have weird specs. A ferrari going 240 while a skyline drives 150 in 2nd gear going up to 330 top speed in less then 10 seconds. Sorry but my honest feedback. Redo the game. It's to clear that your main focus is on F1 and the pro series.

2 pointsWhoever is driving in this video is pretty good... 😉
-
1 pointI don't think it is needed. A F1 2019 has already been provided, which was made by the same developer, using the same engine, during the same current year, and running on the same hardware... This really ruins the experience for me, or at least makes it way worse. The game itself it is not bad by any means, and the races themselves are fun. But I really have to think hard that I'm not playing a PS3 game...

1 pointThat's a minor cut and if I'm not mistaken they do take this line too in real life, but this is a big one in my view. Sorry for the huge video again 😕 rich1eI_DiRTRally20_20191011_22-20-15.mp4

1 pointRacing worked perfectly fine in previous Grids with good damage. There are always options available if you don’t want to race with damage.
-
1 pointWhat are you talking about? F1 and Dirt Rally 2.0 both run at 60fps and look far superior on base PS4. Other racing games also run at 60fps on base consoles and look far superior than Grid 2019. The blame here is squarely on the inadequate developer team of Grid 2019.

1 pointYes I can confirm on PC (no HDR). It's about fog appearance which is applied to scene in "heavy snowing" conditions. In conjunction with roads covered by a snow (some roads are whiter than others) it makes really difficult to see an incoming turn. It's like going blind literally. Why personally I'm for challenges, and I can imagine such hard conditions, I think it's overdone. WHat I found better in DR1 was less fog but more snowing. It could have been really hypnotic.

1 pointGRID 2019 has improved a lot. Without help it is very realistic. A CM game. Played in the most serious way, it is a very realistic game.

1 pointSo after running with the Rift S with 1.9 for a while, I have two issues that I think should be resolved fairly quickly. 1. Rain effect on side windows. The side windows are barely see-through when it rains, and since you sit far back in the car it's close to impossible to see anything in the hairpins. Germany in heavy rain is like driving blind in the hairpins. This is clearly artificial, as I have never, ever, seen rain behave in that way on any kind of side window in real life. 2. Whiteout when it snows in Sweden. As the previous poster said, it's a bit over the top since it just blends into all white. This might be due to low resolution or something like HDR messing about, but it's really hard to see anything at all.

1 pointBefore the last update to the skill rating system I had virtually given up on playing ranked. Having read the changes I decided to give it one last try. Here are my observations: * The end of race skill points given seem fair now. It highly correlates with my race performance. If I crash out of a race due to bad driving or others hitting me, the points lost now are nowhere near as much as before. * Safety rating of S basically guarantees you will be up against fair racers. I did more than 10 ranked races in a row in a lobby where everyone had S rating without getting rammed or pushed out of the track once. All overtakes I performed were perfectly in line with the rules, nobody behaved dangerously. Also, the guys who overtook me always acted reasonably and gave me enough space. * Reached Gold skill rating in 2 days All in all, the skill rating system is working as it should now. The safety rating system serves its purpose. Ranked races are fun at last! Well done, Codies. Please keep the current system intact in F1 2020, as well!

1 pointOne single thing! Add custom public lobbies and lobbies list and I can live with whatever comes in the way after... 🤐
-
1 pointMultiplayer needs a serious re-design. Would much prefer quick lobbies of chosen car class and private lobbies. A similar format to GAS would be great personally. And what is with the AI in multilayer? Options not to have lobbies by class, and AI in online make me wonder just how little faith codies had in this game to have any sort of decent player base, but I can't help but think it's going to die out unless these issues are fixed. I remember GAS, the NWR guys, the crazy Scottish bloke, Flukey and his Mrs, team rivalries that made we want to get on everyday on put points on the board. Good old days!

1 pointOn the negative. There is only one .xml with options that can be edited, in Documents\My Games\GRID (2019)\hardwaresettings\hardware_settings_config.xml (default settings) It doesn't have any settings to improve LOD, and some that seemed interesting like "crowdinShadows" doesn't work when set to True. Still tests to run but it doesn't look that much can be done besides increasing shadows resolution and disabling features that doesn't have a proper option in the Advanced Settings menu: motionBlur, godRays, depthOfField, lensStreak, lensFlare, lensDust and bloom. There is no SMAA option in the Advanced menu now, and the option here is set to False by default.

1 pointOn the positive side... it works with both Reshade and SuperDepth3D. And Reshade says it's DX11: Reshade's Raytraced Global Illumination shader Developed by Pascal "Marty McFly" Gilcher: https://reshade.me/forum/shader-discussion/5450-guide-to-ray-tracing-with-reshade works ok too, and it improves the game lighting a considerable amount.

1 pointgame is a joke for online right now, such a shame. no lobbies, no vote no kick no tuning(?) maybe i didnt own car not sure on that dont quote me :) but I dont think codies have AT ALL realised how much people want to play this ONLINE give us basic lobby functions FFS, or this game will be still born.

1 pointThe problem is I see nothing new they added instead removed features. They cut off water physics and graphics overall remains the same. Even worse sometimes than in 2011 (!) game. So what was the deal?
-
1 pointI'd better have fullHD with many details instead 4K but empty game
-
1 pointThe obvious answer is lack of time, as is very often the case when the question is "why wasn't this feature implemented?"
-
1 pointSound cut out but this time game restart, PC restart does not help. Engine muted permanently. Ingame options I have all sounds at 100. Edit: As some people suggested, changing the view does indeed fix the sound. TY @piphil. What platform you're playing on (for PC also state Steam or Oculus). PC, Steam What your PC setup/build is like (graphics card, processor etc.). RTX 2080, i7-7700k, 1903 Whether you're a Standard or Deluxe user (doesn't apply to Oculus). Deluxe Whether or not you have any non-standard peripherals connected, like steering wheels, gaming mice etc. Not sure what you would qualify as a "non-standard peripheral".

1 pointChanging gear when turning crazy hand bug is still not fixed in 1.9 Developers don't listend to bug reports, whats the point of this topic?
