3 pointsWhat are you talking about? F1 and Dirt Rally 2.0 both run at 60fps and look far superior on base PS4. Other racing games also run at 60fps on base consoles and look far superior than Grid 2019. The blame here is squarely on the inadequate developer team of Grid 2019.

2 pointsThis is unbelievable... I played the game at a friend's house who has a ver small setup. Just made a race, it looked decent. But wanted to try it at home. I recently had the chance since I got the normal edition (thank god. My friend went Ultimate BTW). OH MY GOD... never seen a downgrade as huge as this in my life. These are PS3 graphics people, like seriously. I'm not even a graphic guy, but this looks atrocious. The reflections on my Aston Martin in Havana were like 10 fps. It was really painful to watch. And then, blur everywhere. To the point that player cards at the start of the race are barely visible. The game can't even seem to maintain solid 30 fps. There are buzzsaw borders everywhere, look at the damn buildings in Silverstone for godsake! I'm really mad, yes. I was really looking forward to this game and I'm really feeling insulted and scammed. This is in no way, the same game you were showing all this time. It is really last gen graphics in 1080p, I don't think any other 30 fps racing game in PS4 looks as bad as this one. This is really shameful. I always supported you guys as you made some amazing games in the past, but I really can't look past this (the game have other problems, but this topic is about one particular issue). I felt like I bought a terrible handled port, and I payed full price for it. On top of that, I went digital, so there's no chance of a refund whatsoever. I really hope this can be fixed somehow, but I doubt it. Still I wanted to make this topic for other people to be aware, and for you, the devs, to be aware about this, about a single customer that is really, really disappointed for the abysmal port released for base consoles. The game got treated like if it was a gen behind, at the very least.

2 pointsI don't think it is needed. A F1 2019 has already been provided, which was made by the same developer, using the same engine, during the same current year, and running on the same hardware... This really ruins the experience for me, or at least makes it way worse. The game itself it is not bad by any means, and the races themselves are fun. But I really have to think hard that I'm not playing a PS3 game...

2 pointsThis. All of past Codemasters games ran at somewhat stable 60 fps and they looked very good. All the Dirt and F1 games. Even F1 2019 with the updated graphics, a game that came out some two months ago. With all that in mind, it is unbelievable that they released Grid being this poorly optimized. The game does not even load properly when first showing you the car on the track, and so the textures of the tarmac look like a 1996 pc game. I don't wanna sound rough, but this is almost amateurish... and again, this is the same Developer/engine who brought us Dirt 2.0 and F1 2019. So it is not the their games are terrible or that the console can't handle the engine anymore imo. I'm no game developer, but it is really hard to believe that the console can run all of Codemasters games without major issues, and now Grid is suddenly a next gen game. I'm sorry but we saw games with similar graphics running at smooth 60 fps on base consoles during the last two years or so...

2 pointsThe more I play, the more obvious it becomes to me that the game needs a dedicated time trial mode, as every other racing game has. There are plenty time trial events organized in various places, and what we are doing now, is to go first to our profile (???) to see the best times of other people, then go to freeplay, set a time trial race, set to 1 car only, because it does not make sense with AI (not to mention it becomes a matter of luck if you will be able to take some of their slip stream), do the laps and wait at the end to see what place you are in the leaderboards. Then you want to improve, so you restart, but then you lose all the best sector times info, so you have no idea (without a ghost) if you are doing better than your personal best, until you finish the first lap (which first lap does not make much sense anyway, because you start with lower speed than what you have in the second lap). And the worst part of all, you can simply flashback every single corner, as many times as you want, until you get every single one perfectly right...

2 pointsFrom a simracer perspective - Bigger / better FOV control. Right now the dash view is too close and the driver cam is too far away ( even at it's smallest fov) - Seat adjustments like in Dirt Rally 2 / F1 2019 (forward backwards / Up and Down) - Better rear view mirrow ( to high and flat ) - Abilility to move the HUD, The timing display is dead center in your view, which is quite annoying - Ability to adjust the length of the races in the career mode. At very hard the AI has a too big of a headstart to overtake, eventhough i'm much faster. I run out of laps before i can catch the leader.

1 pointThey've also remove the analogue handbrake, "disable mouse UI", and a few others features that I think are very useful. And think about how long has it taken(is it gonna take) for them to bring these back, which should have been in the game since launch. Codemasters fixed a few features and implemented some bugs in DR2.0 comparing old games. hehe. Don't get me wrong, I do love the game. But codemasters should have focused more in terms of polishing the game and making it a much better experience instead of bring old contents from DR and sell them. I know they want to make money, but they've focused too much on making money.

1 pointPlease add custom PUBLIC lobbies (just like a private lobby except anyone online can join off of a searchable screen). Codies have had these in every GRID and DiRT game in the past. Each custom public lobby needs to have a user created label so players know what the focus of the lobby will be. To make this easy just copy/paste the lobby system from GRID2. Also, please remove ai from quickmatch. AI ruins every race. We go online to race other players only. Thanks!

1 pointCodemaster support - why has the review code been given dx11 versions and youve only released retails with dx12 version!! this is insane.. you need to add dx11 version back, bite the bullett, admit you where wrong and fix the issue for your paying customers!! this is what causing all the problems in these threads!! while we your paying customers sit here waiting for you to fix this, not so nice people are playing cracked version wit dx11 on them! how can that be fair!!??

1 pointPlease make improvements to mp . Like a list of public lobbies. So we can make our own choices to car r track etc ext . Thanks

1 pointInfinite leveling system like Diablo 3 paragons or Forza Horizon 4 Random weather option in freeplay mode VIP icon on leaderboards

1 pointWell I can read between the lines. Thanks for replying. Although Grid damage is leaps and bounds better than the competition I just wish it could be as good as old times. Ah well thanks anyway.

1 pointIncrease the number of random events with the AI (e.g. AI spinning out, crashing, tyre blowouts) or add a slider so we can increase how often they happen. The random events was one of my favourite features in GRID 1 and liked how often they happened but they seem toned down in 2019.

1 pointdo you think asking for a earlier release date is a good idea when the last game was a mess, totally bugged and so far way from reality that its hard to call it a official f1 game?

1 pointOne big improvement from previous Grid games: 16 players online lobbies - this is great, but lets hope online wont be deserted in few weeks/months. From watching MP videos, there is few things that i wish you would improve: - add custom lobbies - only qiuck match option is bad choice, i wish we had option to join different public playing lists divided by car class like it is in GAS, or Even better like separate Tc, GT, muscle, touge, etc lists. - add text chat obviously - add spectate in lobby - option to remove AI - remove enemy system from impacting Real online players (it should be single Player feature only) - i could clearly see PPL online getting "enemy" tag after Little touch. in future full (i hope) lobbies this will only motivate some PPL to ram eachother. - whats up with the permament mirror no matter what camera view we use? - havent see it in options if we can enable it. If not please add it. You added it in GAS post release after community backslsh, lets not copy that error š - add lobby players list before start of the race. Also After the race, the score list of players should be a little smaller so all 16 positions would fit on one screen without the need to scroll it down to see last 3 positions.

1 pointIn Free Play: - Able to save up to 3 events (similar to how Project Cars 2 did it) so you can quickly run your favorite ones, without having to remember all the settings each time. - Able to set time of day to <random> instead of having to always choose a specific time of day.

1 pointAgree. At first I was alright with it until I compared it to the original. Just watch this video:https://youtu.be/6sc4P4LPS9Q When he compares the San Francisco bit, itās so much better in the original except for graphics. The car bounces and the camera shakes and jitters, the cars feel like monsters and racing machines that are vulnerable to crashes. The newer version pales in comparison and doesnāt have that āwowā factor. Severely disappointed.

1 pointI think one of the big manufacturers like Ferrari or Porsche probably had a word with codies to tone down damage. Ever since Dirt 4, Codemasters damage model has been significantly toned down in deformation levels. I suspect it might be harder to license now. If one manufacturer throws a hissy fit over damage, they probably have to tone it down for everyone. What I donāt get is why not just leave those out instead of dragging the gameās damage engine down? If we had a hundred different brands like Gt or Forza then you might say itās worth it but with just 60 cars, might as well choose those that allow damage. Now we have worst of both worlds, lack of cars and lack of damage. It is now a far cry from Grid 2008: I remember thinking what damage would be in 10 years. Although there are a few gems like Beamng or wreckfest, the quality of damage among AAA studios has gone down the gutter. I suspect them pesky manufacturers although Iām not so sure.

1 pointMultiplayer needs a serious re-design. Would much prefer quick lobbies of chosen car class and private lobbies. A similar format to GAS would be great personally. And what is with the AI in multilayer? Options not to have lobbies by class, and AI in online make me wonder just how little faith codies had in this game to have any sort of decent player base, but I can't help but think it's going to die out unless these issues are fixed. I remember GAS, the NWR guys, the crazy Scottish bloke, Flukey and his Mrs, team rivalries that made we want to get on everyday on put points on the board. Good old days!
-
1 pointThe Multiplayer menu needs to be modified for players to be able to see the list of created "Private" lobbies ontop of "Quick Match", which is a random playlist.
-
1 pointA feature to customize the race length of career mode races! We dont even need to get more rewards, we just want to race a bit longer š

1 pointIt would help if people would articulate exactly what improvements they want to see. It's no good just saying "DR1 was better" or "it needs more", you need to explain what's missing, what you would like to be able to feel through the wheel. Even saying "I want to feel the suspension loading up" isn't that helpful ā can you explain how that translates into a feeling in the wheel? If enough people can come to some agreement on this, as with the first FFB patch where people wanted more "road texture", then maybe something will get done. Also, go back and try DR1 some time. It's not as good as everyone (including GM) seems to think, tbh.
