3 pointsYou're right, but I think you're unfortunately misunderstanding my role. With community feedback I collate, report and suggest actions. What gets prioritised/investigated is not my decision. Also, not everything that's reported can be resolved. So I'll continue to do what I've been doing all week and weekend: assessing player feedback, seeing what the hot topics are, reporting this to our team, suggesting actions to take, and then passing on any info that I can back to players 🙂

3 pointsJust a quickie since that was a mistaken assumption on my part the last time this came up. (sorry for that) When there are server issues it's usually been a blip that causes a little bit of downtime, but based on the replies here it looks to have been down for a while. I'm sure the team has eyes on it already but just to be sure I'll flag it 👍🏻

3 pointsMultiplayer needs a serious re-design. Would much prefer quick lobbies of chosen car class and private lobbies. A similar format to GAS would be great personally. And what is with the AI in multilayer? Options not to have lobbies by class, and AI in online make me wonder just how little faith codies had in this game to have any sort of decent player base, but I can't help but think it's going to die out unless these issues are fixed. I remember GAS, the NWR guys, the crazy Scottish bloke, Flukey and his Mrs, team rivalries that made we want to get on everyday on put points on the board. Good old days!

2 points[Off Topic] I am wondering how easable is it to add the feature that let us to choose the wheel color in the livery selection ? For instance, to have black wheel with the black plain livery. That would be a good addition for players like me and others - desperate not to have a livery editor - to customise a bit more their own cars. Thanks Codies.

2 pointsI think you guys have serious, long lasting problems with RaceNet performance. It was responding pretty slow before F1 and Grid release. Right know it's overloaded. But it was happening even in DR1 days. SO it looks devs maintain the system on the edge without required performance headroom.

2 pointsIt was using the default setup, I didn't change anything 🙂

MERCI

2 pointsHaving watched the rest of the Gamersyde videos now the game looks great in motion which is the same conclusion as i came to yesterday. Its a good looking game in motion. Tbh even your static shots look good.

2 pointsCodemasters you should really be ashamed for this continuous weekend racenet problems...

2 pointsTurning off TAA has helped mine look much better on screen though on the move. I understand others will not have this quality I have but I just wanted to show how the game looks just between different versions or even between photos. I know there are some meshes showing, with some different LOD and tree detail but on the move you do not notice them much. Hopefully these can be worked on. What is not mentioned much is how good the cars are especially the detailed interiors and how good it looks at night and rain on the move.

2 pointsOne single thing! Add custom public lobbies and lobbies list and I can live with whatever comes in the way after... 🤐

1 pointHi All, I've passed your comments onto the dev team, who said they will review this issue. I've also moved this into the tech support thread so that we can track this issue. If there is any more news on this then we'll update this thread. Thanks.

1 pointFor me the one thing that should be addressed is the effect an impact has on your car , ie it becomes more difficult to drive , I know its in the game , but it is more or less non existant , Ive smashed big time into walls and other cars without any effect other than losing a bonnett etc. The problem with that is that with no effect on your car it negates any risk of overtaking or driving recklessley, which is why you get bumper car racing, and why people have no fear of ramming online. If it was cranked up then those that drive like an idiot would be out of a race quite quickly. Plus it would make for a better single player game.

1 pointI misunderstand your role? Hmm. I guess you (Codemasters) and we (the community) have very different ideas on how to keep us (the community) happy. If it's your role, your job definition, to not engage with us on popular topics and known issues, then that's fine. But surely you (Codemasters) collectively, want to ensure that your customers are informed and satisfied? Wouldn't you want to take more action to ensure that the right information is being provided? I just don't understand why there's so much resistance to keep us informed.. and before you point to any of your previous posts (which by the way, I appreciate more than having no responses at all), I don't mean the vague statements. We need specifics. Simply creating a stickied thread in the forums with your curated list of information being reported is enough! It tells us that you've acknowledged it. From your comments, you already have this information to hand.. then the most active members of this community can use that as a reference for other people. I know SO many people on the discord now that are just crying out for some acknowledgement or information. To be able to point them to the thread of your collated community requests/issues.. that would be a great start. Then if there's any updates from the internal teams you can update it. Surely that's in your best interest as well as ours? Please don't take this as I'm telling you how to do your job either, because I'm not. I'm just speaking from experience as a 20+ year long customer of Codemasters and other gaming companies that, while they've had their issues, have saved face by being transparent and open with their community.

1 pointStill broken, FFB on my T500rs is terrible. Typical Codeblunderers, introduce old problems and break things and have no idea how to fix them. (this time, AFTER you had something pretty damn good)

1 pointJust found some footage of a Base PS4 gameplay, that mirror... just wow... (see below). Really hoping for a performance patch for this game to fix some things... The game is so beautiful and smooth on PC, XBONE X and PS4 Pro, but base consoles players suffer a lot (which are the majority of players) https://youtu.be/-6KZJdJI8CQ?t=1776

1 pointI just want to say that @jesped has done a really great job being thorough and precise when providing comparative, real life scenarios for us to see here. Thank you for all your hard work, and I really hope that Codemasters employees will look through this thread and take the required action to ensure we don't have to make these kinds of comparisons to previous games in their own series, or the same engine again. It's really quite staggering to launch Autosport again after playing G19 and seeing the sheer lack of quality not only in the graphics while in game, but in the menu and options as well.

1 pointI don't really think they are aware of you and me. After a lot of complaints throughout the weekend (Sunday 19:49 ~ 1+GMT) there is not so much as a fart being funneled in our general direction. Do you have the same problem with the amount and quality of Codemasters' communication in regards to their DLCs? I'm going to guess 'no'! Food for thought;
-
1 pointI LOVE THEM that's why I can't watch what they are doing with great series. Players need in-game chat - they invite Alonso, players demand good damage - they license Ferrari, who is afraid of damage like fire, people expect next level of visuals - they make DX12 but with outdated graphics, people ask about story based career - they don't even bother about it... CMs demonstrate absolutely misunderstanding what players need.
-
1 pointTell me about it! I will lose my only chance at qualifying for the World Series Quarter Finals if the issues continue throughout the weekend which is highly likely. I've heard it'll be down until Monday... I'm absolutely gutted at the moment as tomorrow is the only day I'm able to drive. 😢

1 pointI think the main problem here is the way fuel mapping and ERS are user selectable in the game. Neither have any accuracy to real world usage for the same reasons made by OP ironically. No way would Lewis accept pressing a button 5 times in a row to incrementally increase a setting before attempting to pass. Also listen to Leclerc on the radio. He never whines that about pressing buttons he instead says please give me all available power NOW. These modes should be way less fiddly and complicated as they get in the way all the time with competitive wheel to wheel racing. You will never here F1 stewards state driver A is penalized 3 points on his superlicence for causing impact with driver B while he was preoccupied with mashing a faulty ERS selector button....
-
1 pointwow awesome picture I had forgotten the damage model in Grid 1 , why didnt they just remaster Grid 1 , you have to wonder at some decsions made these days. EVERYONE loved the first grid , ok reboot it , no problem with that , but dont water it down .
-
1 pointA feature to customize the race length of career mode races! We dont even need to get more rewards, we just want to race a bit longer 🙂

1 pointThanks Codemasters for this beautiful BMW M2 Competition model with brutal sound. I gave the model a bit more of a rally look. You can download the custom DiRT Rally 2.0 livery here: http://www.rallygamer.com/dirtrally2/liveries/page1.php BMW M2 Competition - Protect X
