The title says it all 😉 post photos and videos from your favourite GRID races, achievements and moments, to show off your style and maybe even feature on GRID socials! Make good use of the Replay options and multiple camera angles to nail that perfect shot 🙂 We're kicking it off by showcasing a couple of our faves so far from @torque99uk 📸

This is unbelievable... I played the game at a friend's house who has a ver small setup. Just made a race, it looked decent. But wanted to try it at home. I recently had the chance since I got the normal edition (thank god. My friend went Ultimate BTW). OH MY GOD... never seen a downgrade as huge as this in my life. These are PS3 graphics people, like seriously. I'm not even a graphic guy, but this looks atrocious. The reflections on my Aston Martin in Havana were like 10 fps. It was really painful to watch. And then, blur everywhere. To the point that player cards at the start of the race are barely visible. The game can't even seem to maintain solid 30 fps. There are buzzsaw borders everywhere, look at the damn buildings in Silverstone for godsake! I'm really mad, yes. I was really looking forward to this game and I'm really feeling insulted and scammed. This is in no way, the same game you were showing all this time. It is really last gen graphics in 1080p, I don't think any other 30 fps racing game in PS4 looks as bad as this one. This is really shameful. I always supported you guys as you made some amazing games in the past, but I really can't look past this (the game have other problems, but this topic is about one particular issue). I felt like I bought a terrible handled port, and I payed full price for it. On top of that, I went digital, so there's no chance of a refund whatsoever. I really hope this can be fixed somehow, but I doubt it. Still I wanted to make this topic for other people to be aware, and for you, the devs, to be aware about this, about a single customer that is really, really disappointed for the abysmal port released for base consoles. The game got treated like if it was a gen behind, at the very least.

I'm sure this must have been reported before but couldn't find it. Subaru Impreza NR4 should be 5 speed manual sequential but actually plays as H pattern manual. The Mitsubishi NR4 plays sequential as it should, so it's just the Subaru that's affected. Steam in Oculus VR mode. Apologies if this is old news.

H1 is not great. Kind of fun from time to time, but towards the bottom. H2 RWD could use more. NR4 needs more, but I'm not sure how many actually existed in the first place. And absolutely R-GT rallycross versions.lol

We have already a lot of R-GT cars. What I would love to see is a new class called H1 RWD. And also more cars for classes who have only 2 or 3... Anyway, there(s a topic for the cars wishlist :

Could it be the sunset changing the hue of the blue however?

since this thread has been revived, i'll mention something here that i mentioned in another thread previously: if they give people the option in the game to select a lower difficulty once you've passed that level, i think it will help a lot with people's frustration with the AI. so, for example, if you get to elite, let people select clubman, open, etc. if they want. if you've reached masters - the highest level - let people select any of the previous four difficulty levels to race their AI championships at. yes, i know you can just do a custom championship but you don't earn any credits for those. and yeah i know you can just abandon a championship enough time to get dropped down a level but it's an annoyance to have to keep abandoning championships. seems like a solution that should be relatively easy to implement.

One reason for this outrageous decision by Codemasters could be r&d and driver transfers. Why? Because... ...due to r&d in career mode the cars eventually become several seconds faster than real life with a decently upgraded branch, but that doesn't negate the fact that the cars, in their natural state without any upgrades applied and or rather the spec default cars in other game modes, are too slow compared to real life in highspeed sections. ...team performance does not to be fixed due to r&d too. ...driver performance is basically predetermining who is gonna be transfered in career mode. All in all, the choice Codemasters took was the easy way out and kinda lazy. Now the customers have to come out on the short end with yet another abandoned F1 title. Only modders can bring a little bit of balance to the force, but it's, as mentioned already, outrageous that these modders are doing the job that Codemasters' paid professionals were supposed to do. Guess some things never change. Also according to my mate, who is a amateur hobby modder, he needed to use a external program to access the data gamefiles and from there on he altered the database and created a script which was then build into a mod, apparently it was done without Steam on Linux.

Fix the transition issue when starting a qualifying lap, jarring. Stop the looping of the announcers when you exit the qualifying lap. Need a setting to control race length in career mode. Extras: Career mode has no personality, bland & is a significant step back. Probably can't fix it now but hopefully next time you guys take more inspiration from your F1 games and first 2 Grid games.

Windows 10, Steam, Valve Index RTX 2080 Ti, i7-9700K, 32Gb RAM Deluxe, Steering wheel, H-shifter, sequential shifter, pedals, SFX-100 Motion platform Centering the VR position doesn't put me in the right position, it places me too low and a bit to the back. Seat adjustment height range isn't sufficient to fix it, so by trial and error I have to move my head to find the correct position. The center VR position isn't saved, I have to go to the process of finding the correct position after each restart (in the original DR the position was saved). After you've entered the car when you look sideways there's a strange black dot in the center of your VR vision. Although 1.9 improved the VR performance with SteamVR (Valve Index), there are still micro stutters while my GPU and CPU are nowhere near their limits. Performance seems hit and miss, sometimes I can run DR2 smooth with most settings in Ultra and high supersampling, other times I get microstutters with normal settings and no supersampling. I've tried many suggestions, but still can't pinpoint the cause. The original DR runs solid here with all settings to the max.

Hello 🙂 graphics/visuals is certainly one of the topics we're looking at closely from community feedback, and the quality on base consoles. Haven't got any news in terms of changes right now, and as I've said before, changes in areas like this take time, but rest assured it's on the agenda. 🙂

Codemasters, we really need an answer about this. Are you really aware of this? Are you guys gonna work on the performance on base consoles? Because right now it is night and day different. There are games that have Pro/X enhancements, but this one like forces you to play on the new hardware, because base models are barely nice to look at. I will say it again, despite the 30 fps, having a resolution this low is hard to look past... the blur and jagged edges are all over the places, and the reflections are plain awful. And don't made me talk about the rear view mirror. It is like 1 fps, lol. It is almost funny in a way... Please let us now that you guys are aware and will look about this. I simply cannot believe that the engine suddenly went this obsolete, after experiencing some great games on it, being released this very same year.

I'd like to get back some features that previous games had. 1. Terminate damage on AIs I noticed the AIs NEVER retire from races. That definitely adds some spice on the career standings. 2. Color Type We could adjust the colors as well as the type of them (metallic, matte, pearl etc.). When I tried making a white car, the game automatically turned it into silver 😕 3. More Open Wheel Race cars Definitely I miss the Dallara formula cars... 4. Sponsorship Even if the game doesn't offer many sponsors to choose from, I'd like to put some logos on customized slots and colors.

This. All of past Codemasters games ran at somewhat stable 60 fps and they looked very good. All the Dirt and F1 games. Even F1 2019 with the updated graphics, a game that came out some two months ago. With all that in mind, it is unbelievable that they released Grid being this poorly optimized. The game does not even load properly when first showing you the car on the track, and so the textures of the tarmac look like a 1996 pc game. I don't wanna sound rough, but this is almost amateurish... and again, this is the same Developer/engine who brought us Dirt 2.0 and F1 2019. So it is not the their games are terrible or that the console can't handle the engine anymore imo. I'm no game developer, but it is really hard to believe that the console can run all of Codemasters games without major issues, and now Grid is suddenly a next gen game. I'm sorry but we saw games with similar graphics running at smooth 60 fps on base consoles during the last two years or so...

Hi @WalterOP I've merged your 2 threads as they relate to the same thing. I've passed this back onto the team.

I'd like to see a roadbook outlining Codemasters intentions regarding taking the game forward. Not just the usual 'xx DLC on yy day' but a greater degree of transparancy as to what they're actively looking into to improve upon gameplay and features

Community events with leaderboards please, similar to GAS (but not with very low level AI getting in the way)
  20. 1 point
Multiplayer needs a serious re-design. Would much prefer quick lobbies of chosen car class and private lobbies. A similar format to GAS would be great personally. And what is with the AI in multilayer? Options not to have lobbies by class, and AI in online make me wonder just how little faith codies had in this game to have any sort of decent player base, but I can't help but think it's going to die out unless these issues are fixed. I remember GAS, the NWR guys, the crazy Scottish bloke, Flukey and his Mrs, team rivalries that made we want to get on everyday on put points on the board. Good old days!

Sure mate. It was time to put that graphics into F1 2019. But..... it's Codemasters. 😩

Dear Codemasters, just to let you know. We want official broadcast graphics (Replay / Ingame / Cut Scenes...) in F12020! There are no more excuses! Cmon!

Even "sorry folks we have your money now, and frankly we don't care, we'll try harder next year" would be better than the silence! No one in Faya's job yet?!

It's okay, I honestly did not expect it from Codemasters, a company that has evolved over time, was putting new things in the game, and whenever they released something related to the previous games it increased my desire to play, I was excited counting the days to the release, but this year (2019 version) every post that they are throwing discourages, instead of me being counting the days to play I am debating in my mind if I did silly to have made the pre sale. It's unbelievable that HUD issue, as far as I know, and my wallet even more, I also paid for the game, or is it just who plays on the paying PC? Or it has no one, or has for all, a platform to have an option that we are all asking the times, has even petitions for it, is unfair, not to say immoral. I honestly I repeat, did not expect this from Codemasters, nor will I also mention the issue of her not be divulging anything about the career mode, does not show what we want to see, nor will I attempt me this because already turned slapstick, thanks guys , we will exercise our consumer right and demand, as we have this right, each of us, we will require them to make an update at launch and also give us at least that option of being able to customize the HUD on consoles, I will not say that I have hope, because the disregard of Codemasters lately with us is very high but, like I said, we have our rights.

Yep and at this point I‘m not expecting to get an answer from Faya. They really don‘t care about us and the honest feedback we give or just don’t seem to have proper answers. One of the worst customer services you can find. Sadly.
