3 pointsReminds me of flight testing with my dad. He and another guy both had radios, but decided to just yell at each other with a lot of "WHAT!?"

2 pointsAs seen in some early access footage i can confim that the cockpit views are completely unusable in night and rain conditions because you can´t see anything. I remember Project Cars having an separat Exposure setting for onboard views. Not sure if that would work in GRID but something has to be done to fix this asap if it´s not already adressed in the day one patch. Brightness in the cockpits is messed up at daytime too. And all that with default brightness setting... Lowering or raising does not fix the issue and also messes up all other camera views...

2 pointsReminds me WRX spotter. It would be nice to hear him but it's not possible. Probably he's too far from the car.

2 pointsSometimes i have to lift up the gas pedal 'cause i can't see anything by Dirt Rally 2.0 default "shaking" which is an annoying feature and make the games unplayable! Especially all the stages in Argentina ... bump after bump and you've got a strong headache because your eyes thry to compensate all the times, very frustrating and tiring Please codemasters, set that camnera shaing to zero or should be better to use a compensation, or give the same as we've got in Dirt Rally (1) Just an example how other devs solved this problem (sorry for the competing title as an example) check the camera's smooth movement Compare the hood's movement - that what DR 2.0 is doing now and the camera ios not attached as in DR 2.0 and even worse in DR 2.0 cockpit view

1 pointIt would be great if we could alter the pacenotes. Because my opinion of a 5 left is different to someone else's. And the ability to add a caution leading into a corner that for some reason stuff up every time.

1 pointAs a trophy hunter...this game is going from really fun to play to really boring thanks to this trophy......

1 pointI made a short comparison video about the missing audio features of the Peug. The Evo 6 has beautiful exhaust sound effects and flames of course. ps: The Golf Kit car exhaust sound is way to silent compare its loud engine sound. Almost we can hear nothing which comes from the Golf's exhaust.

1 pointJust started a new championship at Masters level using the F2 Kit Cars. I’m using the Golf for the first time and have no engine upgrades yet, running with soft tyres, 1 spare and my own setup for the car that I put together using the shakedown before the first stage. First event is Argentina and after 4 stages I’m 7th in class and about 40 seconds off the pace of the leader (who just happens to be the same person that won the previous championship at Elite level) but it is quite close from 2nd to 10th. Normally I don’t tend to look, but out of interest I have checked the Leaderboard times after each stage to see how I and other human players compare to the ai. So far the times I have set have placed me 6th, 7th, 7th and 1st on the cross platform leaderboards for the respected stages and only 2 of the times ahead of me were fast enough to have beaten the ai in a stage. In fact on the stage where I set the current fastest time, I only finished 9th against the ai.

1 pointThere may be some audio quirks with both cars that might change in patch 1.10.

1 pointI've just spent 10 minutes with it on Finland. I died many times. (I just plain suck on a wheel 😄)

1 pointDiRT Rally 2.0 - released with new version dash cam (poorly received), and driver cam that is fully adjustable. No FOV on Consoles. People complained - bring back old dash cam from DiRT Rally 1.0 - 6 months later, done. Still no FOV option for those who prefer driver cam. Grid - released with new dash cam - likely in light of the fact that most preferred said cam as a result of feedback from DiRT Rally 2.0. This game has FOV adjustability for consoles and driver cam, but curiously seating position is non-adjustable. 🤨 Why not release both games with FOV, new dash cam, old dash cam, and driver cam that is adjustable? Mind boggling is the driver cam Grid! Sure you can narrow FOV but it is still way too far back. Playing with dash cam deletes all the wonderful eye candy and removes the immersion (often feels as though you are sitting too high, like the wheel is just beneath the headliner. The original dash cam in DiRT Rally 2.0 is/was more of a necessary evil because of how much time you spend sideways, so seeing the road more completely helps. Road racing - I’ll take driver cam all day every day, but we need to be able to adjust both axis so people can orientate the view to their particular set up. Really hope they add in an update, and soon.

1 pointA simple "lock to horizon" option would solve the problem for those who, like us, use the internal camera. It would also be essential for vr headset users. All driving games have this option and I would be really grateful if Codemasters added this possibility.

1 point@Hygradeb I've tried your way. I backed my save game up on usb first before changing anything. I deleted all the FFB custom setup I had then made it from fresh again. Rebooted game and it felt okay, but then I tried duplicating it and enabling it and that felt even better. It's better for me if I duplicate. @Hoo you really need to read the last 4 or 5 replies in this thread. We've made some progress.

1 point@RedDevilKT @Hoo is there any update at all on this yet? Currently a huge group of friends / colleagues is thinking of buying the game for the coop championship. Yet if it‘s not even close to the one of 2018 it won‘t make much sense. Saving a session, resume it or even restart just the race would be kind of a must have. Especially for people who just wants to play a session after a long day of work. Time is something valuable for people with tough jobs and they want to enjoy their hobby’s in a comparably short amount of time. Apart from this I am a software developer myself and I set up a lot of software development team, thus knowing how development, planning, iteration and prioritization works. So why can‘t you simply be honest and tell us if the above mentioned feature requests (mostly the save / resume part) is in the Backlogs of your software development teams? It‘s pretty simple, if it‘s not in the Backlog by now with at least some prio the feature will never make it into production. If this was your prioritization decision, it at least would answer your customers question if they can expect the 2018 kindish version of coop championships or not - in the end you want to make your customers happy with at least honesty, correct?. So simply be honest instead of holding a carrot in front of our heads.

1 pointHopefully the first update makes our cars nice and shiny again!

1 point2 months passed, no answer, so i guess this issue won't be fixed too. F1 2019 is a mess, quite disappointing if we consider their side of the story that they apparently have been working for 2 years on this game. So many bugs, glitches, inconsistencies, wrong performances and or simply questionable design choices that destroy a game that could have been much better. Most issues fall on deaf ears. They cherry pick bugs / glitches / issues and only fix those that are stopping the game from working out of the box. Meanwhile, issues such as lighting, missing online and singleplayer features, wrong performance values for cars/teams/drivers, audiovisuals and or the unbalanced ffb / wheel and pad performance etc. have been cast aside. Guess they are working on the Ps5 / Xbox Scarlet version of F1 already and are creating a new game engine, whilst F1 2020 very likely will be a bland copy&paste product of F1 2019 with altered values and small "new" features that could have easily been implemented in F1 2019 already. There is no hope. #MakeF1GamesGreatAgain #VoteWithYourWallet

1 pointHonestly no idea what you are talking about. I've done a couple races in Okutama and had zero issues with lighting, my eyesight is not the best, but had no trouble at all racing. But then again, I run in default brightness mode...
-
1 pointThat's PC. The problem is the game doesn't have Eye Adaptation/Automatic Exposure/Tonemapping properly set for most shadowed areas. It doesn't have to do with night, it is more noticeable in the shadowed areas of Okutama or the shadowed streets of Havana at sunset. And tunnels without lights during day races, like the example above. @Leo Natan just posted a video perfectly explaining what this is all about... do you really read and watch others posts in the thread? F1 does proper Eye Adaptation/Automatic Exposure/Tonemapping, when you enter the tunnel it adjusts so you can see. And when you exit the tunnel it adjusts again so it is not overexposed and burnt white. That's what we are talking regarding GRID, not if it is day or night or consoles or displays are well adjusted or wathever. It is a game problem. Not even an engine problem, as F1 2019 uses the same EGO v4 and adaptation in Codemasters games has been around since the original GRID or at least GRID 2.
-
1 pointYou don't notice lack of lightning while racing? WUT?
-
1 pointGRID Autosport and GRID 2 had eye adaptation/automatic exposure/tonemapping too. It's been a feature in EGO engine since ages ago. What is more baffling is... GRID 2019 does have adaptation... but just in a few places where it doesn't really makes much of a difference, like the bridge in Havana, or to darken the tunnels in Okutama. But in most neccesary cases it just leaves you totally in the dark, or with a brightness from the sun that looks like a nuclear explosion.
