4 pointsHello everyone, The World Rally Enthusiasts Facebook page (www.facebook.com/WorldRallyEnthusiasts) just celebrated its 1st anniversary. To mark this occasion we published a Dirt Rally 2.0 custom livery for the BMW M2 car specially made and customized for the World Rally Enthusiasts by Mesa's Artworks. The base design behind this custom livery is the winning car livery called “Crystal Flakes”, which won the Dunlop Art Car Livery Design Competition in 2017. The Crystal Flakes livery was designed by renowned artist Jean Pierre Kraemer and it was debuted on a Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 in the season-opener of the VLN Endurance Championship in 2017. Mesa’s Artworks did an absolutely outstanding job in making this livery a reality. The World Rally Enthusiasts Facebook page is deeply grateful to Mesa for all his efforts and high-quality work on this livery. The custom livery can be downloaded from Google Drive using this download link: https://drive.google.com/…/1bPQsHPF3YeKWMLMQN78zc8eg_XrB_NN…

1 pointDRC - DiRT Rally Championship https://www.dirtrally2.com/clubs/club/39043 Open for everybody, so everybody who feels like participating can do so, no matter how active you are in the forum, and you will not be kicked if you might be inactive for some weeks (As long as you're not cheating of course). If you have ambitions for winning regular participation might be helpful though. On to the rules: Every DRC-Season will consist of all Rally locations, including DLC. One Season has to be completed with the same car! Every event (rally) will last for 3 days and 12 hours. (Making two events fill exactly one week) Each Rally will consist of 7 Stages The first 6 Stages will only consist of the 4 long stages (2 will be repeated). SS1 ,SS4 and SS7 will have Service Parks. SS 7 will be a short stage. Restarts are disabled, Alt-F4-ing is prohibited and will be punished if discovered. Having a Service Park 3 stages apart highly encourages less risky driving (as real world), as you have to cover 30-40km of stage between services. The Reward for a Championship is as follows: 1st: Is eligible to pick the Vehicle Class for the next Season. 2nd: Can pick one of five Season Structures from this Overview: 3rd: Can select which Rally needs to be excluded next season. Only 12 can be put into a championship, but 13 are in game. 4th: May pick the Safari-Rally (Service Park structure of 2/5. Five stages to be conquered in one go) 5th: May forecast the Weather-Rally (Pick one location and cherry-pick the weather options to your liking. Night has to be less than 50% though) <spoiler> ---SUSPENDED until further notice----- The DiRT Legendary Trophy https://www.dirtgame.com/leagues/league/34459/drc---legendary The DiRT Legendary Trophy, powered by the DRC. It is a seperate competition and fully independent from the DRC standings. It consists of 24 stages with over 270km of road and covers all countries available. It only has 2 Service Parks , one after the first quarter and one at the half way-point (after 12 stages). Saving your car and driving more catiously is the key here. "To finish first, you first have to finish" is what you shall have in mind. Car choice is completely free for everone here. Everybody, who finished the Legendary Trophy (read as: Not retired) is allowed to wear one of these Badges in their signature: ---------------------------- Anybody seen with such a badge, who didn't earn it will be kicked from this league without further notice! ---SUSPENDED until further notice----- </spoiler> Cheers, SkyRex

1 pointRegardless of the argument above, I hope the 3+4 season stuff gets a discount at some point; I like to pay around £25-£30 for a game, not so much for DLC that's a lot of stuff from DR1. Hopefully Black Friday might bring a discount?

1 pointGood eye. Nothing fancy though. DirtFish has a service area in its screenshots, and I figured a post about an update should have something “servicey” 🙂 DirtFish is a place to improve your driving skills, just like every update improves the game 🙂 Also a good excuse to reshare those cool liveries.

1 pointToo many snowflakes are involved in the making of games these days. When a snowflake makes a game, they cater it towards all the other snowflakes as they think people wont buy it. They dont see flashbacks as a negative, instead its a positive about the game. If you suck its ok, have a flashback. You dont need to do the entire lap again. Or if you're racing online you dont need to worry about messing up as a magical flashback will float you on to the track like a wonderful snowflake. Dont let practise and skill make you good at the game, just take people out and hit flashback. I wonder if the DEVs of this game have ever actually played RD Grid. Codemasters do not have the balls/bottle to remove flashbacks from online and put full damage all the time throughout the game. Noobs will not buy a game like that, Noobs are the target market at least thats their thinking. It is really really sad for gaming in general.

1 pointI think that a feature that virtually no one has come up is: AI incident, for now every retirement from AI is from engine failure, and rarely, almost never for contact between two car. I think that there has to be more contact between cars and more important Ai errors, like Bottas in the Mexican qualification where he destroyed the car in the barrier. What is needed is a bit more realism in how a gp usually is, the safety car problem is in a million topic before mine so i don't wanna spend words on that. Another feature that I think will be fair to the AI, is this: FUEL LIMITATION: if there is fuel limitation 100kg for 100% race, why the same rule doesn't apply at the lower %? I think it's only fair that for 50% race we should have only max 50kg of fuel, and so on for 25%. Maybe it could be implemented as a "guide help", we can turn on or off that limitation like we do with the penalties, the abs, the virtual line ecc... My final suggestion, but this I thik is impossible maybe for f1 rights... it will be very good having two or three race tracks, so that in career mode the seasons are not the same. Through track rotation we could have every season different from the previous, for example in 2020 we would have nederland and vietman, and no hockenheim, and the game i think should be the same using 2-3 of the previous track.

1 pointThat's a good timetable and good requests indeed! I would prefere a season 5 and 6 for DR2, for now Anyway, speaking of wishlist: your wishlist + a proper team managing + some special events (like Montecarlo in '60s, without pit area and full of snow, ice and fear. or career events with real drivers) + allowed livery modding (or a Forza Motorsport livery editor, let me dream)

1 pointDaily challenge and few test. Platform: steam Medium spec. PC
-
1 pointExcuse the bloom, but I did this quickly. Medium tires, 100% race fuel with no underfueling. Not the cleanest, but it will give an idea. This is with a leader board hotlap setup, no extended ride height or springs etc.
-
1 pointCan't agree with that on 100KG fuel. There is just no way to take it reliably flat. Once you get to 70KG or so fuel, it seems more manageable, but before that it just randomly bottoms out and spears you out to the right, unless you run 10-10 ride height, which is not realistic as you just lose tons of downforce in the first 2 sectors.
-
1 pointThe bump before the main straight is definitely way too harsh and I hope they fix that in the near future or at least next few games. Regarding 1st gear: The first gear is faster in many corners like spain hairpin, Bahrain T1 & T8 as it gives the car more turn-in due to extreme engine braking. Esports drivers and experienced league racers know about this and use it as the cars in-game unrealistically lack overall mechanical grip (the grip that comes from the suspension geometry as the downforce effect only starts at a specific speed/airflow) compared to IRL. Watch some IRL & game onboards of tracks with hairpins or tight corners side by side and you will see that the IRL cars turn way faster around slow corners like hairpins. If they increase mechanical grip and reduce the strength of the engine braking then 1st gear will never be faster except Monaco hairpin.
-
1 pointTotally! I'd like to play the game before the Monaco GP if possible. Also it's better to have the game driving with some bugs than to not have the game at all, IMO. Ideally I'd like to see them release the game on the start of the F1 season, notwithstanding the cons.
