2 pointsWhy are you trying to defend this? There is fog all the time, those pictures are just like a different game.

2 pointsToo bad my friend lost a video of me and my friend beating our cars at ice track. I used to daily drive my 80's Oldsmobile and sliding around the corners with it was fun af. As it is an automatic and I don't like to use the e-brake on those cars the only way to get it to a massive slide was a scandi flick. It looks so majestic when +5m long american land yacht performs scandinavian flick. These was the cars we drove on the ice track. The black one is mine. I might have driven my cars like I stole them even before that.

2 pointsIn other news, the current Dailies allow non-DLC owners to try Finland in a H2 RWD vehicle. Needless to say, the achievement "Finnesse: roll your car over and continue in Finland" was achieved within the first shakedown run

2 pointsThe speeds are most definitely exagerated, always have been in Codies games. It's obviously done for the thrill but it does make it feel a little arcadey. The real problem is that there is simply not enough damage to discourage driving like an idiot. The huge jumps in Finland would totally destroy the suspension if taken at the speeds the game allows. Hardcore Damage needs to be much more severe. Also the tyre wear needs to be increased dramatically. Otherwise it's a fantastic game.

2 pointsIf this is some cheap attempt at flattery by codies to try get me to return to the forums.. .. Well I guess it worked. Well played. That being said, if the squirroo turns out to be a lie .. I may just have to start collecting nuts- and they will be the variety that will be sorely missed.

1 pointNo, the main problem is that you start attacking people who disagree with you and that you don't seem to understand that promo pics always look better. Anyway, I suggest you open a thread where you can bring this up one more time, quite a few people will love it, I promise. The massive fog is terrible, we're all doomed!
-
1 pointSo you said and then you proceeded to make a comparison with an entirely different kind of screenshot. Here is a comparison from the exact same spot
-
1 pointOk but it isn't really fog what we have in the game, is it? It's more like a layer of mist in the air. Did you notice it immediately? I honestly didn't. I first thought people were talking about dailies where it was exaggerated with zero visibility. As I said above, not all spots look as misty as the screenshot HoksuHoo took. It depends on distance and visibility. You can't look that far in the distance on the promotion screenshot, that's why there's no such effect, just as in this screenshot --> I'm all for constructive criticism and if people have a point it's totally legit, but I can't support such manipulative and selective nonsense. Also, you can't blame a company for taking a beautiful picture to promote your product, can you? Let's keep it fair.
-
1 pointHonestly, initially I was busy driving and not crashing so I didn't even notice the fog, which isn't even proper fog but just a slight layer hanging in the air. I don't understand the 'promotion screenshot argument' either. Do you also call companies and complain that the pizza you just took out of the oven never looks like the one on the photo? Plus, in an area with a lot of lakes and rivers fog forming is absolutely natural. So, from a realism standpoint having heavy fog in the morning and a light fog layer hanging in the air in the afternoon is as close as it can get. Now, I don't know if this was intentional but it is what happens in real life. Just a few thoughts from another perspective. ------------------- Regarding the 307kph in the Lancia, it must be a bug as the speed increased as soon as the car got airborne. Before the jump the speed was fine at around 230kph.

1 pointDont say they havent changed anything... They fixed cursor so it will disappear after you connect gamepad đ That was most demanding thing i am sure đ

1 pointGronholm / Kevin Hansen at Abu Dhabi https://youtu.be/nt39gyRdONo?t=170 Kevin Hansen / Gronholm at Hell Kevin Hansen / Marklund at Canada https://youtu.be/9cTAkaXCsYQ?t=132 Larsson / Szabo / Hansen at Riga https://youtu.be/gR_ixf2SW3g?t=1057 Penalties have been given to similar or smaller incidents. if consistent = now also penalty. Basically a DQ for Timmy imo, as Kevin got a similar penalty at Canada and Larsson basically already got it for what was a race incident at Riga. Even Timmy should have been agree with this, as he wanted Larson get a penalty and said that was correct.

1 pointWhat about this awesome track from Nitro ? It would be so NICE to have with the mega jump @PJTierney đ "This is the best rallycross track in the whole world !" (Kevin Hansen)

1 pointFinnish, Scandiwegian, whatever, they're all faster than me anyway đ

1 pointI think the speeds are fairly realistic. It's just us playing a video game and pushing a lot without fear of consequences. Sometimes I'm quite surprised when I send my car deep into outer space and the game tells me that I just hit a rock or a tree at 180kph, but that's actually what happens in real life. Rally drivers are nuts, pushing 160, 180 and sometimes 200kph on narrow roads. It's insane. What happens in reality is often a lot faster, more dangerous and insane than what we think should be implemented and represented somehow in games.
-
1 pointThe option realistic/hard core damage on the car should be buffed...and a lot... (at the current state you can survive a 120mph multiple roll crash and continue the rally...)

1 pointHad a chance to try a few stages in Finland and love it with the new physics, itâs a huge leap forward over the same location in DR1. However, my enjoyment has been somewhat stymied by the huge levels of fog in the stages. Itâs crazy how thick this is, and doesnât seem to be an option or connected to weather. This fog wasnât visible in any of the preview images either, which makes me think itâs there for performance reasons, which would be a huge shame. Is there any explanation for this choice anywhere? Iâm also once again somewhat disappointed by the lack of weather options. Iâm fine with the DR2 event being set in August or September, but for clear conditions to only be available at two of the four time slots is somewhat disappointing, as is the lack of wet options. Still, texture work is great and this location is the best so far to showcase physics improvements from DR1 to DR2, I just hope something can be done to address the visibility.
