3 pointsThe fastest pad driver should NEVER be able to compete against the fastest wheel driver. Period. Cars are driven with a wheel, not some sticks and buttons irl, hence why the game should at least respect this truth and try to emulate real life more accurately. Imo, the pad should be around 5 tenths slower per lap compared to the wheel, else there is no reason to use the wheel in the first place.
-
2 pointsThe situation is all the more serious if one considers that Codemasters is working with an important Company wheel like Fanatec
-
2 points@codemasters when will pad and wheel be equally fast again? pad advantage is way too big
-
2 pointsAs a recent mover from pad to wheel I can vouch for this although I play on 2018 not this years game. I am around 10 AI points down on my pad difficulty you can abuse the corners much easier with a pad where as on the wheel it can easily lead to a crash. There has to be hidden traction control or something as I played not assists on pad but find it much more easier to spin tbe car with a wheel.

2 pointsExample: - Open a sticky thread, call it with a good name. - start to make this list: Community requests passed to the team: 1- option to turn on or off AI from online. 2- possibility to make a custom lobby. 3- new trees. 4- etc 5- etc Request confirmed and planned to be into next patch: 1- AI on off online option 2- etc 3- etc List of request cannot be developed, rejected: 1- text chat (and reason why) 2- etc This is only communty oriented, do not involve info about all the team work, which of course is about development and not needed to share with community.

2 pointscause i'll never open a thread for every single answer (there are tons) specially to say ''no''. As I suggested many times, a good move should be a ''transparency thread'' sticky on 1st page. This thread should list all the accepted suggestions passed to the team and unders discussion. Then a list on the same page of the offical accepted and confirmed suggestion with a probable release date included the method of releasing it (like on some hotfix, patch, megapack of feature added, or DLC). Also a courtesy list of all unaccepted suggestion with a short explanation to say why is ''no''. This will help a lot the community, make the feel of being listened all. And is a good idea for this section of forum and specially for the Technical assistence forum section.

1 pointok, lets talk honestly and frankly. I don't want to be rude but this game is the worst of the GRID serie. To me, it's the most disappointing game since a very long time. I was expecting A LOT (and I guess, I can speak for everyone) for this game. Can we talk about the poor reviews on this game on Steam ? More negative reviews on Metacritic. I don't understand why there is such a gap between press media reviews and players reviews. Everything is missing in this game You can't tune your car whatever you want You can't paint your car whatever you want (seriously, same decals from GRID2) You can't choose your sponsors you can't paint the rims you can't choose the race length Top tiers cars / low tiers cars > means that only few cars are useful (basically, on every races, players will choose the same OP cars) Nemesis thing is useless AI is terrible, even more terrible in MP. AI cuts you, rams you and you get out of the track. single player is atrocious, no real team management Car selection is slow and tends to bug Easy, Normal and Hard are way too easy Very Hard is someday too easy, someday way to hard No drift Ridiculous amount of cars Cars handling is terrible (the R26 omg 😐). Some cars are way too drifty You can't tune your cars between online races (seriously ..?) No tire/fuel management (who cares since there are only 3 laps lel) race commentators are useless (and their voices in the french version.. omg please make them shut) Im still waiting the super awesome crash from AI. They just drive in straight line ... No custom online races (+AI in MP), MP is a joke Im surely missing other things. What were you thinking CM seriously ? this game is still in beta, but a beta sold full price. Do you seriously think that your game can compet against Forza, GT, Project Cars, NFS ? You guys planned updates on the game. OK. Why not .. but these updates will be contents that you should already be in the game. it's a shame. It's a shame coming from a company well known for their racing games. I'll just wait until NFS Heat (preordered it as well) is out and I'll put this GRID game somewhere and pretend it never exists.

1 pointBut its possible for custom offline or online events to have both classes? Some maybe want go with the Polo or Impreza, others maybe with the Clio or MINI. It would not be nice to limit this to or 2018 or 2019. my suggestion there will be an option for 2018, an option for 2019, and an option to have all. Also I still hope the 2019 Subaru ARX liveries will come, and maybe the Loenbro liveries aswell.. about the different Fiesta; I can understand a group of people are not really interested in all different specs, but technically they are all very different. I am happy to see all these different specs. The OMSE MK7 is own developed, but the STARD MK7 is for example started with an R5/WRC shell. About the Audi/208 2019 “new” cars. One things that should have been changed is a detail in the interior. As far as I know all cars need to have a safety net at both sides of the driver. Before 2019 this was only needed at the drivers door side. An other things i know for the Audi is that KYB developed new dampers for the S1. With the OMSE Fiesta it changed a bit more with the cooling that went to the back. Also the Megan’s has quite a differences, especially on the rear, but also the steering wheel has changed. Also I think we shouldn’t complain to much. With for example F1 you need to buy a new game if you want the latest season. Now you can buy the new season in the same game.

1 pointThey've given the finger to sim drivers every step of the way. Those using a wheel and cockpit are at 2 massive disadvantages right off the bat. No option to force cockpit view, like every other sim (even on console) is absolutely incredible. Dirt 2.0 is very good. This is the first F1 I've owned since 2013 or so and it will be my last unless they fix fundamental flaws. GUARANTEED none of them will be fixed in coming months. There will be a couple trivial changes and then $$$ Thanksgiving and Christmas car paint, suits, and gloves.

1 pointPretty please @PJTierney you can explain why you are about to release the eks Audi s1 again? It’s not the same car? (2019 is identical to the 2018 evo...)

1 pointBased on your 'perspective' does that therefore make those who have to prioritise a 40 hour working week alongside general household responsibilities exempt from spending a little bit of their (incredibly valuable) time submitting issues/observations that make everyone's job at Codemasters an awful lot easier than it deserves to be? No. People contribute because they love a product. People contribute because they believe in a product. People contribute because they want to see a strong evolution of a product. But moreso, people *find time* to contribute. So (and I say this with the greatest possible respect) it maybe worth remembering that a statement which implies not being able to "do this and this and this because you already have to do that and that and that" might come across as being a little bit disrespectful and/or condescending towards those who have equal amounts of "this and this and this" to in their own lives yet still find time in amongst their personal "that and that and that" situations to make requested contributions. Furthermore, if nobody whatsoever at Codemasters can take a minute of their equally as valuable time to put together a simple list of 'known issues' with the merest of indications as to what's been looked at/worked on/not considered for the benefit of those who own the game and simply want a guide as to it's direction then that just emphasises how one-sided this whole setup actually is. Whatever happened to 'give and take'?

1 pointYes you're right, before the first patch balancing was perfect. But they want an arcade approch always and however.....it's a shame
-
1 pointOn dayone release,f12019 pad vs wheel was equal, somewhere over the poor patches which made a great game bad ,they changed it to help the pad users, some pad users are known to use Cronus max , which then makes it pointless, the only true real sim racer will use a wheel, and the future will be wheels, i would recommend if your running a league or in a league use the multiplayer car or classic cars , as the F1 2019 cars are useless, the performance patch killed of the f12019 cars , we were told we would have monthly car performance and livery updates ,, its a real shame because codemasters are more than capable of producing a high end sim racing game , just look at dirt rally 1.0 and dirt rally 2.0 , probably 2 of the best racing sims ,

1 pointOh come on, we are all in the dark here, even when it came to your announcement on season 1 that you hyped, the only news we got was a picture of paris. Is the studio looking at implementing public lobbies or an option for public races without AI, if they have not decided on this by now then it is how we feared, this is the final deeply flawed game and all we are getting is bug fixes and seasons. for gods sake we cant even adjust the tuning of a car in multiplayer, got to exit out first!

1 pointIsn't it great that there is such wonderful technical support on the official forum?
-
1 pointThanks PJ; I'm really disappointed with this, it's ruining the otherwise superb location for me - if I'm told it's a necessary compromise then I'll be frustrated by the fog-free preview screens that are impossible to recreate but will move on and be more careful to check video next time - if it's a design decision then I really hope it can be reviewed.

1 pointAndrew Coley came to CM to record his voice for the 2019 World RX mode. I still dream to have Andrew Coley's commentaries during the replay but it is a huge work to do so I can still dream. But, if Stéphane Prévost is here too, it is for : - correct pace note - OR new rallies. I am ok with new rallies.

1 pointYeah...I have seen a video about that. There are several people that think the earth it’s flat...they really believe it...that’s quite worrying 😅

1 pointFact is that a video with @EvansR5 driving the garbage out of that car was published along with the shiny promotional pics. So, it's not like Codies have applied some shady tactics promoting Potemkin villages as you're insinuating all the time. The graphics were the same as those we have now. Not sure why you're surprised. Oh, and the one who's whining all the time about an 'issue' that I didn't even notice, is you. Weather options is another story, there you actually would have a point but instead you drive that exaggerated drama train.
