  2. Forza Horizon is 30 and it feels pretty great. Compared to when I get 70fps in AC and I get half second long screen tears and turns feel like a slide show. I have no idea what causes it, but it really makes it unplayable. I'll take Forzas perfect 30 to AC's god awful 70 any day. Ew. I love the entitlement these VR guys have, but that's not an argument I want to start again. Holy hell that was annoying.

  3. You were supposed to destroy the WRC games, not join them! Bring balance to the driving sims, not leave it in arcade popcorn! Just joking, I've heard that game is actually not bad at all

  4. The first time I’ve played wrc8 I hated it so much...really bad frame rate and awful steering wheel feedback I recently gave him another chance, solved the FPS issue and set properly the wheel, and honestly it’s been 2 days that I’m having a blast with it (at least on tarmac) I switched to the dark side...I’m sorry ç_ç

  7. I completely forgot about his YouTube channel. I at least liked most of the articles for outing the community as being vehemently toxic and just the worst. Like that Domino's Pizza delivery guy that maxed out a credit card or two to build an iRacing simulator in his basement and no one told him that was a terrible idea and instead kept egging him on into debt. Also the stagnation of the "genre" as a whole, but he gave credit where it was due. Interesting. I don't really follow the sim racing sites much anymore because it tends to be... self reciprocating and the sims I have aren

  8. LOL, 60 for sure. Only amateurs create 30 FPS racing games.

  9. Hopefully SMS will teach Codies how to put an FoV slider into their console releases, let alone the rest of the superb camera options that Pcars 2 has on all formats...

  10. He's active on GT Planet. He pops in once in a while to hype things up. GTP users tend to be less toxic than the people that hung out at Pretend Race Cars 😂 However, this acquisition thread on GTP has been met with a lot of skepticism. So instead of hyping, he was pretty quiet.

  11. At least they gave your money back. And I'd 100% believe the same thing about Assetto Corsa and "Lord Kunos" What a ****. At least for PCars 2 Ian shut up and they seemed a lot more open after the mass amounts of backlash they got. I only bought PCars 2 because they actually made an attempt to change. I still won't buy anything Assetto Corsa though, those completely incompetent imbeciles.

  13. PC1 development might've been difficult to say the least. Maybe you were treated a bit harsh by a moderator, I don't know @dgeesi0 Why shouldn't they listen to your advice if they grant you access to the forum to give feedback? I know at some point Ian also had a second mortgage on his house to help fund the project and he was using his private money to pay the devs so the story is a lot more complicated, it wasn't easy for everyone I guess. Anyways, these things happened many moons ago. I think if a renowned studio like Reiza choose the Madness Engine for their new game, it means they l

  14. lets get it right. they crowd funded their first game. offered rewards based on how much you put in. there was tiers. they did give people parts of the forums to contribute feedback often this was ignored if if they didnt like it they would delete it edit it or remove said people from taking part. know numerous people this happened to. after only offering feedback on the physics and handling. they were then investigated by the FSA over dubious scheme they had set up for raising the money to get the game made. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-04-18-driving-ambition-pcars-crowdfundin

  15. Yep, you're correct, CARS means Community Assisted Racing Simulator. WMD and WMD2 was a great program, it gave you access to various builds and to the forums, you could give feedback, discuss with the devs and develop ideas. PC2 is a lot better than the 'voice on the street' says. There's a lot of fake news around spread by haters. PC2 surely isn't perfect, it's a huge game with tons of tracks and variations, another ton or two of cars and features so the challenges were too much. Street cars, vintage GT A and B, vintage formula, vintage prototype A and B, Group 4, Group 5, Group 6, Grou

  16. @JorritVD I certainly don't think a car being in one game would be a precursor to it being in another. I'm sure there are some very different licensing agreements that have been signed between the two. SMS always seem to have done very well on the licensing front, so hopefully some of that rubs off!

  19. there are differences between cars. The fact is that's how they sound in real life, once compared to real life videos. It's like saying all touring cars sound the same, or all supercar v8 sound the same when in fact there are subltle differences between manufacturers.

  20. the problem on DR 2.0 - tarmac problem , the tarmac need more inertia physics because the slide and drift is bad and the car stop very fast after for slide and drift ) tarmac info because need more info for bump and jump and road broken by the time tyre strategie is very bad , soft and medium should degrade more faster wet tyre better than medium tyre on dry tarmac is not normal wet tyre more gripy on wet road than dry road is not normal too -

  21. 1. "Sequential or H-Pattern +/- Clutch" option is a priority. 2. "Assists" - Have an option to select "Authentic" assists that correspond to the real-world counterpart. 3. Make analog handbrakes available under "input reporting" and give us deadzone, saturation, etc adjustments just like pedals. 4. Brief descriptions of options from within the GUI. 5. Let us choose not only a default steering device, but also a default menu navigation device, so that keyboard keys can show up instead of buttons.

  22. Adding UI text to each of the settings, with a brief explanation of what they do (like in D4 and DR1), would do wonders and I'm sure it would help a lot of people. There's some people complaining about that lack of guiding text in steam reviews. Just take what's in the PDF, shorten it as necessary and paste it in the game for each setting accordingly.
