5 pointsYesterday I had time to play S1 content, 2 hours in campaign and 2 hours in private lobby multiplayer. Here are my impressions: - bots are very fast in Paris, with hot hatches I was really struggling to keep up with them on VH - Paris itself is awesome, feels better than in Autosport - new cars are very fun, but I have some doubts about the balance. AWD cars are way easier to win with, because of excellent launch and superior corner exit traction. With the Mini, I had really hard time chasing bots, but with Audi I went from 14th to 5th before even the first turn - cars still look filty and scratched when starting a race 😞 I don't even want to bother with those new unlockable liveries, what's the point if it's all covered in scratches anyway? - 2 lap races on 2,5km track are back... I have no idea what Codies are thinking here. Tough Paris bots + 2 lap race + FWD car = forget about even being on the podium, there's simply to time to catch the bots... only quali helps and I find it really lame to be forced to run quali - new career events are pretty fun nevertheless, new car class and new track are all nicely implemented into some fun (but short) championships - still no option to set grid size for private multiplayer lobbies 😞 I'm playing with 1 friend, and we're forced to play with 14 bloodthirsty bots, or no bots at all - still no option to move the camera during replays... I wanted to take some cool screenshots of my races, but it's pointless to even try. Please, re-enable moving cam for replays, like it was in Autosport! - NEAR MISS seems to be triggering nicely now, both me and my buddy achieved 1st rank of this trophy after just few multiplayer races. I wish TWO WHEELS was triggering more, I had lots of situations when I was going on 2 wheels but the game never noticed - still no Racenet challenges... COME ON CODEMASTERS! - still no money from multiplayer races - this is something I really don't understand. When using loan vehicle, game warns you, that you'll lose some of your earnings... but you don't earn anything (except for XP, that is useless) so what the hell? You choose to not create a separate multiplayer game, with its own progression, everything is mixed up here... so how people are supposed to buy new cars, if they choose to ignore the career? - still can't change car tuning in multiplayer, and this is pretty bizarre. I just mentioned you didn't do a single/multi game separation, like you did in G2 and Autosport. So the cars I have tuned in singleplayer, keep their tuning for multiplayer, which is RIDICULOUS. My singleplayer time attack build for, say, FD2 Civic with supershort gear ratios and suspension set for taking kerbs is not going to work for 5 race event that contains long straights... and not only I can't change those tunings, I can't even look at them. So it's always a surprise, will the car work or not? As I don't remember all the tunings I did for career mode. This is really critical, Codies. I mean it. You dun goofed this one really bad. Overall, we were pretty happy with Season 1. I wish we got more tracks, 1 recycled track per season does not sound good enough, considering the state of the game on release. I don't mind recycling tracks at all, Autosport (and Grid 2) had lots of great tracks with multiple layouts, like Dubai or Chicago. We need those 3 missing SPRINT tracks back also 🙂 Looking forward to play more of S1 content during weekend. The game is going in the right direction, but I wish it went a bit faster 🙂

5 pointsTrue, but it's a bloody awful headache inducing whine. I'm thinking they'll start linking the sound to dead animals and constant migraines in people. And I'm only slightly joking. Please, like it isn't now.

4 pointsIt is frustrating having to wait a couple of days, but the cries for compensation are a bit much...

2 points@BarryBLthanks so much for your help like this whole last week basically i finally got it to work thanks so much ive been having a blast playing the game
-
2 pointsHmm, a picture in which Volvo is the most unreliable car? Now I don't believe you anymore. My Volvo's run 500.000 kn's without major trouble...
-
2 pointsEven more dangerous in rally because of spectators or animals could cross the road at high speed. But not sure if the sound should be similar to the thermic cars. I think we could get used to a change...

1 pointHere's a brilliant short clip of how the real life Red Backlight (Rainlight) blinking rate is in wet weather conditions. During corners the blinking rate slows down and on straights and or at faster speeds the blinking rate increases dramatically. In F1 2019 the game however this is not represented correctly, as ingame the blinking rate is at a slower rate throughout the whole lap and stays that way in all situations. Especially in heavy rain conditions we need a more realistic blinking rate for the Red Backlight (Rainlight) at the rear of the cars to improve spacial awareness and visibility to the opponents cars in front. Please fix this. @RedDevilKT @Hoo @BarryBL

1 pointNot available for me. I am on xbox in UX, own all the extra content but I am being asked to by this. Get your s*** together Codemasters. This has happened almost every time a DLC is released, and now its happening not only with Dirt Rally, it also is happening with Grid. Your process is broken, Get it fixed or start firing people. Pathetic. It finally showed up a day late. And when it installed, it sats Yrack 11 Name. not Lydden hill.

1 point@incapable @EadZ1 You are running different versions of LGS, not sure if either are up to date (no longer have Logitech). Use Geek uninstaller to remove LGS, reboot then do a new install with; ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/gaming/LGS_9.02.65_x64_Logitech.exe You are both using Corsair K70 RGB Mk2 Gaming Keyboard, please install iCUESetup_3.22.74_release.msi (you'll have to search for Keyboards K70 from the dropdown) Please check for firmware updates to the keyboard then once updated, UNINSTALL iCUE with Geek uninstaller and restart. To be sure, please DDU your GPU drivers and reinstall. AMD (Radeon VII) and Nvidia RTX2070 your download is latest 441.41 but please use DCH driver. @EadZ1 you almost certainly have some kind of driver conflict Please try the above checks for firmware with VENTUS-R Gaming Software then UNINSTALL with Geek uninstaller and restart. @incapable Please try the above checks against G533 headset and G502 mouse with G-HUB then UNINSTALL with Geek uninstaller and restart. MM800 Polaris should also benefit from any lighting effect removed with removal of iCUE. Please also both confirm your motherboard make and model so I can double check firmware and drivers for chipset / audio / network drivers. After updating, please delete hardware_settings_config.xml before restarting game.

1 pointCome on, be serious.... Same reaction for you. If you already get frustrated of a DLC gets a little delay, than yout life is probably very difficult. I feel sorry for you.

1 pointNext up: Max McRae, Collin's 15 year old nephew. Holy hell that kid is living the dream. Rallying at 15 years old in that car?!? That is like the ultimate daydream for 15 year old me back in the day.
-
1 pointYes, agree. If they could improve the bodywork and make it look better, it will help for sure. On the other side I not really follow RX2 aswell. Supercars and S1600 it’s just cool, because they are real road cars changed to RX cars and have all their own specific engine and concepts.

1 pointI think we'll have to wait and see. After watching some of the Formula E races I can confirm, there was a lot more racing action and overtaking than in F1, it was so much more entertaining. I think people should give Project E a chance before rejecting the whole idea in my view. There will be prominent names driving these cars, just like in FE, so I don't think it's going to be boring.
-
1 pointAll very well but that's gonna be uniform across all cars, and because it's instant the racing will be so boring to watch. Andrew Coley be like: "He's made a mistake! Maybe 2nd place can mount an atta- oh nevermind, 1st place is already back up to speed again" Can't wait

1 pointTo me it takes away a huge part of the racing at an emotional level. We all grew up with the noise of the engines and we all know automatically without even thinking a second the noise we have just heard must come from a powerful car. It is just my personal humble opinion but a fast and powerful car HAS to make also a powerful noise 🙂 Call me nostalgic, call me old but come on guys VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM 🙂 Apart from this 600 hp and instant 1100Nm is insanely cool .. just add the noise and I am happy ! One more thing about normal electric cars not racing ones. They are extremely dangerous because not making noise pedestrians or bikers cannot hear the noise of the car arriving. I have experienced that myself with a freaking hipster and his bs useless electric Pegperego Tesla. I did not hear it coming I almost crashed into it. Electric cars MUST make noise like a normal fossil fuel powered engine otherwise nobody can hear it coming and it is VERY dangerous.

1 pointMaybe, or maybe I'm just being unpredictable. I mean if I can't predict what I'm going to do, how are you lot going to? 😉 If I’m not wrong the liveries on Xbox are automatically added to the cars? Go on “my games” > “manage game and add on”>“updates” and maybe the liveries are there (if you have the season pass of course) On Xbox you should have a small DLC item in the [Ready to Install] list. The one for the liveries isn't available yet on the platform, but I was informed yesterday that the right people are aware and investigating 🙂 At least Lydden Hill is out though 🙂 Side-note: No further update on Lydden Hill for PSN EU, will drop word on the official socials when that changes.

1 pointGreetings! I found this championship via SkyRex's awesome setup guides. This is the first club I've done more than one event on so far and I'm loving it. I'm still a bit intimidated by some of the drivers here, but it's really nice to compete in a smaller group. Cheers!

1 pointI advanced a little further in the career mode and another event with issues was "TC1-Specials Asia". On the first track Zhejiang the framerate and resolution was constantly at sth. like 720p/~30fps, with HUD elements, menus etc. being 4K/60fps. The 2nd race in Shanghai worked flawless at 4K/60. In the 3rd race at Okutana Circuit, the hot lap, as well as the race started at around 1080p/~30fps in the first section, went up to 4K/60fps when the track went uphill after the first few corners and then went back down to around 1080p/~30fps at the end of the track when you drive back into the stadium. This happened on 5 or more attempts at the exact same positions of the track. Again no issues in the stream quality or internet connection itself. If I see any other tracks that show the same problem, I'll report again. Thank you for taking my feedback to consideration! 🙂

1 pointUnexpected moments on : Driver launch himself out of the car while on fire. That would be awesome! ( joking... -.-)

1 pointPC1 development might've been difficult to say the least. Maybe you were treated a bit harsh by a moderator, I don't know @dgeesi0 Why shouldn't they listen to your advice if they grant you access to the forum to give feedback? I know at some point Ian also had a second mortgage on his house to help fund the project and he was using his private money to pay the devs so the story is a lot more complicated, it wasn't easy for everyone I guess. Anyways, these things happened many moons ago. I think if a renowned studio like Reiza choose the Madness Engine for their new game, it means they like the technology and they'll surely help further polish and improve it, and Codies can benefit from it, no doubt. SMS will also learn a thing or two so it's a win win in my view.
-
1 pointYep, you're correct, CARS means Community Assisted Racing Simulator. WMD and WMD2 was a great program, it gave you access to various builds and to the forums, you could give feedback, discuss with the devs and develop ideas. PC2 is a lot better than the 'voice on the street' says. There's a lot of fake news around spread by haters. PC2 surely isn't perfect, it's a huge game with tons of tracks and variations, another ton or two of cars and features so the challenges were too much. Street cars, vintage GT A and B, vintage formula, vintage prototype A and B, Group 4, Group 5, Group 6, Group A, Group B, Group C, Touring cars, GT5, GT4, GT3, GTE, GT1, LMP1 2016, LMP1-H and non-hybrid, LMP2, LMP3, LMP900, Indycar, NASCAR, CAN-AM, Rallycross etc. Are you kidding me? I'm pretty sure I forgot a few classes. In the end Ian admitted they bit off more than they could chew. The depth of simulation and attention to detail is remarkable. Even air density is a thing, NA engines would lose power on high altitude tracks. Devs were even thinking about adding humidity which is a thing in Indycar but it didn't come to fruition in the end. ------------ Btw, Logitech G920/G29, pedals and shifter is currently at 150 euros on Amazon I think, for those who are considering getting a wheel.

1 point@richie now is seriously a good time to stop trolling. Because that's all you are doing. You've said you prefer it this way, but most people don't and it's not usual/realistic for the location, so please try and act like a grownup.
-
1 pointIf your observation skills are weak don't blame others. You have been presented the evidence several times in the form of photos. There is not much else to say, its extremely unrealistic, very obvious, and that's that.

1 pointFog in the game COULD be cool, it it's not currently. The current implementation is tragic.
