3 pointsThat is where the regualtions & homologations come into place. For Rallycross there are FIA homolgated cars and for RX a special list of cars that are not homologated for the FIA, but are allowed for RX. ---------TECH REGS------------ https://www.fia.com/regulation/category/120 So according to the tech regulations: So which cars can be a Supercar 1) Homologated Group A and Group N cars. 2) Cars who are on the list "List of cars not homologated with the FIA, bit allowed for RX" 3) Next to that you can "homologate" a car through the national ACN. It needs to fit certain dimensions. If than approved, it will get on the list pointed in 2. This f.e. happened for the EKS Audi or Munnich SEAT, etc. ALLOWED CARS CONCLUSION: Basically every logical series produced road car can become a Supercar. One note, after the homologation is finished, or when the productions stops, the cars are still allowed for a certain X amount of year. For FIA homolgated cars that is I believe 4 years, and for the non FIA homologated cars that is 7 years. ---------HOMOLOGATED CARS-------- So that the homolgations list can be also found on the website of the FIA: https://www.fia.com/regulation/category/760 Current FIA homologated cars (most of the time goes through a manufacturer or tuner/builder(Callaway f.e. for the GT3 Corvette)) An interesting thing is that the FIA has homologated the Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ with a Group A. So basically that can become a Supercar as well 🙂 There is also the list of NON FIA HOMOLOGATED cars: What kind of cars are on this list: - Alfa Romeo Mito (Super 1600 - Tedak Racing) - Audi A1 / S1 (Larsson / EKS / Volland in S1600) - Audi S3 and SEAT Ibiza (Munnich Motorsport All-Inkl.com) - Ford Focus RS (Hoonigan Racing) - MINI Cooper S (XITE Racing) - Renault Megane (GCK / Prodrive) - VW Beetle (Volkswagen Motorsport / Eklund Motorsport) - etc... Basically because XITE has gotten the MINI on the list, someone else could build a Super 1600 or Supercar MINI Coopers S as well. 🙂 For Supercars you could use a custom engine, but I believe for Super 1600, a part of the engine block needs to be part of the BMW/MINI group family. Thinking about that, the MINI could be a perfect S1600 bomb. It is already a great chassis standard wise.

3 pointsI'll stand by what I said back in DR1 - we need dynamic routes through a location more than a dynamically generated location. Look at any of the stage screens while the stage is loading in - almost all of them show how the stage runs through all of these roads and junctions. The ultimate solution is to map out the entire location and all those side roads/junctions. Craft a system that can select 4/8 of those splits and connects them into the "stage". You'll have to record multiple pacenotes for each junction since some might just be "Flat Right 150 passed Junction" and on the next time it is used we get "Caution 2 Left tightens 1 over Junction". THAT would be the way to create infinite replayability. You would turn 16 Splits (2 Longs) into dozens and dozens of potential stages if the roads are laid out right so even half of them have junctions that start/end with 2 options. Not saying it would be easy to develop and implement, but it would be amazing to play through. Imagine one time through Spain it's all tarmac, but the next time at the end of the 2nd split, Phil yells "Caution, Acute Left onto gravel - 100 into vineyards". The entire concept of Spain would flip on its head.

2 pointssorry for the double post but... I only now just realized that the little number in the top left corner of some of the festive challenges is an indicator of how many tries you get. damn, I would have done many of them with different vehicles.

2 pointsIt's appalling that codemasters refuse to fix the tracks in a officially licenced F1 game. But credit is due where credit is deserved, at least they finally fixed the French Pitlane at Paul Ricard after 2 years. Still... ...Germany, start/finish straight DRS Zone has been removed irl, in the game it still exists. ...Singapore, Bridge straight after the slow left handed hairpin got a new DRS Zone irl, in the game it does not exist. ...Japan, Suzuka Bump at the last fast right handed corner before the main start/finish straight next to the pit entry has no effect on modern F1 cars irl as they take it flatout, in the game they exaggerated that bump to the point that you can't take the natural racing line over the bump flatout and if you do, you spin. ...Mexico, new DRS Zone was added after Turn 7-11 right before the stadium section, in the game it does not exist. 1 pointHey all, Been a couple of weeks since I checked in regarding multiplayer requests, so here's a quick status update: - Public lobbies: good progress is being made and we're on target to have this in the game during January. It's a case now of testing and sense-checking. I'm planning to put together a bit of a walkthrough on how the feature will look and work, for you all to check out before public lobbies are live. - AI: The plans to adjust the way AI affect multiplayer races is also ongoing, with the goal of having human players fill up Quick Match lobbies instead of AI. This week we pushed a minor change live to the game, which adjusts the playlist timer system to encourage lobbies to fill up quicker and more often. Feel free to drop your feedback here if you're noticing any difference in your multiplayer experience. Any questions, just @ me into your comment and I'll do my best to get back to you 🙂

1 pointObscure reason: The lawyers confirm that the contracts signed with all of the teams/manufacturers/parties involved also included where and how the likenesses will be used. Deviating from that agreement invalidates the rights of CM to use the likeness. Don't take this as official since I'm just a random guy who sits on these forums/reddit/discord too much, but I think it's the obvious reason why...

1 pointCan't disagree with that assessment. The users here have been repeatedly lied to, cheated and abandoned by the developer effectively becoming a self help/therapy group 🤣 Merry Christmas!

1 pointI would love to have a "Race Director Function" in Multiplayer Lobbies (for example custom Leagues) where the Hosts/Stewards (selectable in the Lobby) can send out the VSC/SC manually, giving out Penalties manually etc. Also dedicated Servers, the De-Sync in some Point is to unreal.

1 pointRain looks really bad (in vr). It looks more like grease than water.

1 pointOh yeah, your solution would be 100x cooler in that it is infinite then, and who doesn't want infinite rally stages?!? I've just dabbled myself in some generational designs and quickly learned what a mountain that is to develop. My idea is more of a "meet in the middle" strategy. Don't force the engine to generate the entire location, as getting it right would be a huge undertaking. But getting a pattern that generates routes through pre-constructed stages is much more straight forward and cuts out a lot of the "unknowns" in designing. It seems like the feasible in the near future option to me. Consider my idea a stepping stone towards the final ultimate goal.

1 pointFinland has a terrible looking fog effect in daytime. Daytime/clear is bad enough and daytime/overcast is even worse. As someone who lives in Finland I can tell you this is not realistic at all in those conditions, and it looks awful. The fog needs to be removed. After that some more weather options for Finland wouldn't hurt Clear daytime should look like this. Notice how there is no fog at all, landscape is crystal clear even at long distance whereas in the game it's foggy only a short distance from your car Or like these fake promo images. How about making the real game look like that as well Overcast daytime should look something like this. Again no fog at all What platform you're playing on (for PC also state Steam, Microsoft or Oculus): Steam What your PC setup/build is like (graphics card, processor etc.): 1230v3, GTX 1070, 16gb ram, SSD, Windows 10, SB Z If you're playing on PC, state whether you're in 2D or VR: 2D. 2560x1440 resolution Whether or not you have any non-standard peripherals connected, like steering wheels, gaming mice etc: Logitech G920 steering wheel+shifter

1 pointThey over nerfed credits for sure. Basically you gain the 10% of other modes... hope they change it, maybe 50% may be more fair.
-
1 pointI took a break from the game and just came back to check out patch 1.1. lol Instantly noticed the credit nerf and did a search that landed me here. Seems ridiculous, I sure dont want to grind for cars now. @ChrisGrovesMCMWhy nerf credits codemasters? Hopefully just mistake? This cripples the game for me.

1 pointI didnt realize there were That many. But, at least we have new Halloween skins. The car was nearly $3.lol

1 pointTo me the FFB has the same issues as Dirt Rally 2.0 had. The main force is there, but there is no other FFb ‘noise’ for road bumps, road surface, losing grip etc. The argument has always been that people feel road bumps not through the wheel but via the seat. So no need to model that in the FFb. Thats rubbish. Firstly, it’s obvious when driving your car that the wheel vibrates with the road. It’s connected to the car the same as your seat, so how does one feel a bump in the seat and not the wheel? Secondly, we lack a heck of a lot of information driving a sim wheel compared to real life, so FFB needs to be looked at from that perspective. F1 (and now dirt Rally 2.0) has good FFB. Why do other Codies games not?

1 pointAnother small monothematic car pack suggestion/dream. 0 points@ChrisGrovesMCM What about this issue ? I mean the free play mode is pretty useless if i get less credits than in career mode... And i can still not choose how many laps i want to do in career and in free play a i can but get punished for using it with way too less credits ? Makes no sense to me...
-
0 pointsThey also changed the career mode credits, I used to run the tuner showdown event a couple of times to buy some cars as that event gave around 145.000 credits every run. Now it has been changed to 45.000 credits.
