Finland has a terrible looking fog effect in daytime. Daytime/clear is bad enough and daytime/overcast is even worse. As someone who lives in Finland I can tell you this is not realistic at all in those conditions, and it looks awful. The fog needs to be removed. After that some more weather options for Finland wouldn't hurt Clear daytime should look like this. Notice how there is no fog at all, landscape is crystal clear even at long distance whereas in the game it's foggy only a short distance from your car Or like these fake promo images. How about making the real game look like that as well Overcast daytime should look something like this. Again no fog at all What platform you're playing on (for PC also state Steam, Microsoft or Oculus): Steam What your PC setup/build is like (graphics card, processor etc.): 1230v3, GTX 1070, 16gb ram, SSD, Windows 10, SB Z If you're playing on PC, state whether you're in 2D or VR: 2D. 2560x1440 resolution Whether or not you have any non-standard peripherals connected, like steering wheels, gaming mice etc: Logitech G920 steering wheel+shifter

Headlights in DR2.0 are way too weak and the light beam they emit is way too short. It's like low-beam only, and when the extra headlight pods break it's like DRLs only. They should be changed so the light beam goes much, much further down the road. Would make night racing much better and more realistic. A few screenshot to illustrate the problem. The beam is very wide but pitifully short. They only illuminate the road a very short distance For comparison look at this. Difference is night and day, no pun intended

And now it's christmas and we're still waiting. I appreciate all the effort that @BarryBL is going through.. it has to be a massive encyclopedia by now. Even if he just wrote 20 words a day it's already a bigger post than ANY we've ever seen from codemasers (and this is not a joke i checked this). And i'm quite sure he is a capable guy and is doing what he can which is surely way more than 20 words a day. I do ask however: if this is such a huge task why is he doing this on his own? No amount of written text about a game should take more than a month to write. I know this means we will get a 20k + words essay. and i am really looking forward to it. and this community needs it. This game needs it. It just feels like they've put too much weight on one persons shoulders if it takes 6 weeks to write an update on bug reports. It also has one very bad side effect: Even though we finally have someone writing things, it is taking so long that for the public, it looks like STILL nothing is being done! This is very sad and surely not doing justice to the multiple hours each day BarryBL is spending on writing this essay. So Codemasters please don't put too much workload on your staff! spread it out please! if someone is taking 6 weeks to write a reply to bug reports (starting 5 months after launch) Then it should have been written by more people. Is there any chance we will be seeing it this year still? Or does it really take till next year to make a reply to a november 17 list of CONFIRMED BUGS? Don't get me wrong i do appreciate taking the time to get it right. But it appears this just wasn't a one man job and that should have been noticed way earlier... If kids give this performance for school projects they get rightfully reprimanded.

Apparently I have finished 90th overall. First overall finish in the top 100. I had been very consitent with the Pug 208 this time and got some more confidence. Unfortunately I was a bit to aggresive in the final stages and the two last sections i drove with a flat tyre, otherwise I could have finished a few places higher, maybe even in the top 80. Monte Carlo: 130th Sweden: 162nd USA: 90th In the standings PJT and I kinda changed places. Because I was 76th after round 2, and PJT now is. I moved up a good 20 positions 🙂 Already had posted screens of it here: https://forums.codemasters.com/topic/38646-dirt-rally-20-share-your-screenshots/?do=findComment&comment=484251

Honestly, at this point, I'd be very disappointed in all of the pro teams if they weren't running each stages dozens if not hundreds of times before each weekend. We have the technology to get paths into a game pretty accurately and very quickly. Adding the fluff like trees and stuff takes time, but getting a general path that follows a rough outline of elevation into something like RBR wouldn't be to terribly hard. It's not perfect, but it'll be a HUGE advantage for drivers to get a quick idea of how the stage will be once they arrive and some of the key corner combos to watch for. I mean, how much would it cost to employ a lone dev/modder who is experienced with RBR to quick-mod new stages into the game for them to practice on. Compared to the rest of a pro team's budget, I would think it'd be pennies... Keep the dev on through the offseason to continue cleaning up/developing the practice stages and you could craft a massive backlog of 90% of the possible stages very quickly.

The rendering distance on trees and grass could need some improvement, it pops up in the view. Add a extra (higher) setting? Easy to spot on Poland and USA. Watch the clip i uploaded in the previous thread.

When using the lowest field of view setting, in Lancia Stratos the cockpit view clips through the rollcage. The default position is too much forward and you can't move it backwards. The driver position adjust is too limited, it should allow further movement and also movement backwards from default position What platform you're playing on (for PC also state Steam, Microsoft or Oculus): Steam What your PC setup/build is like (graphics card, processor etc.): 1230v3, GTX 1070, 16gb ram, SSD, Windows 10, SB Z If you're playing on PC, state whether you're in 2D or VR: 2D. 2560x1440 resolution Whether or not you have any non-standard peripherals connected, like steering wheels, gaming mice etc: Logitech G920 steering wheel+shifter

Windshield wipers constantly go on for no reason, whether they are automatic or not. This happens with all cars (except crosskart) and all locations. They periodically do a single swipe. Surely when you have windshield wipers on manual you should have full control over them? It's not the case at the moment. Sorry for being harsh, but **** like this ties up resources for CM to develop a true "eSports" platform. **** meaning, they are being distracted Jeff Interviews F2 and the entire single player.... This **** distracts them from fixing problems and we all know what needs to be fix, including the "pad traction hack." Implementing anything else, adds to potential problems and new bugs. Guys, instead of asking for additional ****, lets all come together and help them fix it first before adding additional functions. Basics first.

Team orders. If it's impossible to program the AI to "think" on the fly if your teammate should let you pass, then they could rework teams order into the "contract" section of your career and let you activate it with the radio. Some of the current contract perks are stupid, like the pit stop speed or reduced development weeks, so what? the engineers are being slow on purpose? that makes no sense. Maybe they could replace those perks with teammate perks, one for when you are ahead of him ("no action", "slow down cars behind", "aggressively attack cars ahead") and one for when you're behind him ("no action", "let you pass if ahead in championship", "let you pass if faster/fresh tyres", "let you pass always")....then in the race you activate that perk with the radio option. Those same perks would work backwards while you're the 2nd driver. The "cheaper" perk would be "let teammate pass always" and the most expensive "no action"

I realized i have another issue from my last season, it's also regarding AI but not drivers this time but team chief's. i was fighting for the title with Verstappen, it was really great, we were very close in championship table after every weekend, till the ending phase of the season, when Max started to receive grid penalties before EVERY race! It's very strange and unnatural, while in real life the team would change all needed components before just one race to start from the back just once and have fresh car and no penalties to fight to the end for the title. As the result i have won the title but I wasn't really satisfied while i know in real life it would'nt be that easy. Hope You get my point. This game is great, but obviously can be much better.

Do you find the competitions much more engaging? Not to mention challenging and truly realistic. The variety of race formats is such a breath of fresh air after the humdrum 1 lap duels over and over. Even though we just have Abu Dhabi at present, I love the idea of the safety car on the track! It brings a new dimension to the experience. And challenges like managing tire wear make for some fun racing. It just makes Codemasters look like lame ducks with no new ideas. I urge anyone who likes F1 racing.... download RR3 now!

Try Real Racing 3! They have a new F1 format and with careful use of their racing credits (using the daily race with the basic car on loan) you can climb up the tiers without spending cash. The racing is brilliant!! So far they have five circuits with Abu Dhabi currently, but it's light years ahead of Codies circuit. The racing is "real racing" without AI killer cars, you can break late, cut inside an opponent and not get a penalty for cutting the corner slightly. I'm declaring a mutiny!!! Abandon F1 Mobile. Show them we've had enough and that another team has a better F1 game.

It's becoming monotonously repetitive to be leading in a Sprint or Grid Start and despite driving safely and having a commanding lead over your opponent, you are rear ended on the last corner by a bot and shoved into a wall or the sand to finish 12th. Why do you program such behaviours that make me hate the game? I really hate it lately. At seasons end I have to seriously consider deleting it because the frustration simply isn't worth it.

The car in the picture is a Ferrari 308 GTB, not a 288 GTO, which was a Group 4 rally car, so it could fit perfectly in the H3 RWD class. There was also a rally Group B prototype, the 308 GT/M, while the 288 GTO was for the circuit-racing side of the Group B, as well as the Porsche 959 (despite the Porsche being finally used in rally-raids).
