So, this thread intrigued me enough to sign up and add my own guess work. How about the possibility that includes some of the other ideas already put forward. Perhaps we’re looking at a tribute to mark 25 years since Colin’s World Championship year. This could comprise the Legacy and a later Impreza, then perhaps a Nova and a Sierra Sapphire and the addition of Derek Ringer and/or Nicky Grist to the list of co-drivers. Then to push my dreaming even more, there is a lot of publicity specifically currently around L555 BAT. Perhaps a new full on livery for that car. Not sure what licensing they’d have to pull strings on for that to happen but I’m wondering if Prodrive and the McRae family might be in support of any such tribute. And to add finishing touches, how about it being wrapped up in a new career mode themed around a 1995 Group A World Championship season, or alternatively some kind of licensing around the British Rally Championship that would let them include stages from Kielder and wider England and Scotland stages with the ultimate result of them having an alternatively named RAC rally of 1995 including the Grizedale stages and others. I expect that the majority of this will be wide of the mark, but I’m quite convinced around the possibility of it being something in memory of Colin’s achievements in a milestone year. I’ve longed for the Legacy for a while and also been hopeful of a return for Derek Ringer so the wallet is on standby.

Am I the only one who isn't upset that buying content day 1 means you pay more than someone who waits 6 months? You pay extra for the privilege of playing before people who want to be frugal. Yeah, I think it's kind of lame to not discount the latest season at least a bit for the Deluxe owners, but then I remember season 4 isn't even fully released yet. You're asking for a discount on content that is still being released. What other company has ever been like "oh here is some new DLC for you all to buy, want us to go 50% off 2 weeks after releasing it???" The reason the BIG bundle is discounted is to help bring in more people to the playerbase. Discounting the DLC by itself isn't going to do that, those people already are part of the playerbase. But if you're trying to bring in new fresh drivers during the holidays you discount the base content or the deluxe bundles. It isn't rocket science.

Good job with this game! I really love it! What do you think about an improvement of it with new tarmac location? Should be nice to receive for ex. : - Corsica - Sanremo ... Tight roads on the mountains... Thanks!!

I dont think its just McRae themed, there is info That Lancer 2005 was sound recorded.. and we know also about Nissan F2 ..

Basically one giant, minute long continuous drift through and around the DirtFish warehouse with the new 2019 WRX Fiesta. Remember when you asked for some gymkhana clips @PJTierney? I know it's not the Mustang but does this count

Well something McRae themed would certainly tie in neatly with the Legacy and Impreza that CM recorded the audio for. As I recall CM stopped attaching the McRae name to their games as it seemed inappropriate (and rather tasteless) to have Colin associated with something he had zero involvement with: tribute DLC would be pretty damn cool though!

Agree. They need to start adding stuff to the game, mainly tracks, and idk... maybe new modes or something. Lobbies can't come fast enough. The game started to drastically wind down online, and now being like 60% off isn't a good sign either. I hope they give the game one strong push during the coming months and try to save it. Otherwise will be just the three packs and done for good...

I find the AI is inconsistent between circuits. I can comfortably match the pace of the AI on some circuits, but really struggle on some of the newer ones (especially Mettet).

Yeah privilege might not be the best word for it, but you're essentially paying premium to ensure you get to play it day 1. And I'm totally ok with that for certain games, DiRT being one of them. Not $35 on Steam right now, but I almost bought a copy of the original Deluxe ($24) to give away on stream last night cuz it is so damn cheap haha.

Unlike Dirt2 however, this game is as barebones as a game can be. We need more then just 3 dlc packs.

@sanderu1983 I wholeheartedly agree that if the devs have NOT found time to fix the Suzuka bump(as one of the many things wrong), and did find time to make and sell more skins, it makes it very obvious how wrongly distributed their priorities are. We're dealing with next level incompetence mixed with greed here. One could make a better game to sell more and make more money but why do it? if you can go for short-term gain and try to squeeze out the few people that haven't written you and your game off yet for every last penny? Codemasters is oggling EA's worst company award it seems. Trying to sell cosmetic DLC for a broken game.

Please just scan the tracks and be done with it. It’s already well over due.

The game is a joke. The bump is there for years and we are complaining every version. Then the have time for skins?? Instead of really fixing a game. It is a bloody joke.

@sloppysmusic I just hope they take the laserscanned tracks from PCars 2 to F1 2020, that would be great as they just bought SMS

True, no chance that anything but minor issues will be fixed in patches at this late stage. That's actually common sense though from Codies as they don't want a change to kill the game off as the run in to the next one will be starting soon. I'd be more depressed if they were not planning any laser scanning for 2020. How can they boast about realism (actually do they claim that at all? If not they SHOULD do!) if every track has been drawn with the vagueness of a police sketch artist?

And if I could add some details, it is not normal that in qualifying, the pilots of my series are weak but those of the other series make super times, and as soon as I fall with them they are zero and so on . And then when an AI is in the lead in the first round, it always takes the joker in the first round .. and when it is 2nd for example behind me, it always takes the joker in the last round. Illogical.

Nothing needing to be fixed will be fixed. Just more skins and paints for $$$. The bump is bad just like not having a single laser scanned track us bad.

The bump at the beginning of the start/finish straight in Japan should really be removed. There is no such bump in real-life (anymore). It was disturbing in F1 cars already, but practicing Japan in a classic car for our so called "Christmas Classic Cup" is simply frustrating. We need to go off throttle or be 99.9% sure to spin in the '88 McLaren. Could something be done about this?

I have sent 100's of these since february 2019. I'm sure the report is just ending up in a place where Codies never check, or is read by people who have no clue what they are looking at. However, there is a solution that can help you reduce how often they will appear though: The game is loaded with bad code, and one of the places is after a stage, when you choose Replay, you get the confirmation screen that say "YES/NO". This screen will try to fry your GPU with bad code, and is therefore excellent to use to get a stable clock on your GFX card. Use Afterburner (or your preferred monitoring GFX soft), and look at the temp going up while in that screen (YES/NO). Wait until the game crashes, and take note of what the temp was. This may take a few minutes depending on how close you are to the limit. (There is a chance you already have low enough clock, and that you are experiencing an unrelated BUG, but I highly doubt it). Lower your clock/voltage on the GPU, (maybe also back off a bit on the RAM). Make sure you set so low clock that you can stay in the YES/NO-screen for 5 minutes without having the game crash. Now, work your way up by checking with the temp and make it close to where the game crashed during your first test, and leave it there. This should reduce how often you get those crashes. Cheers :) TO CODEMASTERS: Don't go ahead and fix this screen now!. You need to fix all the other bad code first! This screen is the only good tool we have to get a somewhat stable game.

Yeah mate, absolute shocker we have to pay for content worked on by people with families to feed!

There must have been improvements since DR1 bc using the same driving style in DR2.0 Wales caused me to spin the car around in the water. In New England I had no problems with the puddles, maybe they are more shallow, or higher speed. The puddle at the end of Sweet Lamb is particularly dangerous if I'm not careful.

Agree with the dlc matter. Early supporters were forgotten completely. And since the dlc now costs as much as the whole game (with all the dlc) it seems so absurd and really makes me not even play it anymore. Shame really.

I'm going to remind some people that the employees working on the track geometry may not be the same as those who are working on 2d car textures 🙂 There are different teams for (Technical Design/) Level Design, Environment Art and Vehicle Art for example. It's even possible that the vehicle art is created in a studio that is over 10 000 kilometres away! So basically having more skins most likely takes no resources from the team that is working on the track meshes.
