1 pointI'm playing the game on PS4 and this trophy is a very big grind Around the globe: drive a total distance equal to the circumference of the earth That's 40000 km. Is there a way to get an ingame tracker for this so we can follow our progression to this. Finishing career doesn't even get you close to that.

1 pointHey all, Been a couple of weeks since I checked in regarding multiplayer requests, so here's a quick status update: - Public lobbies: good progress is being made and we're on target to have this in the game during January. It's a case now of testing and sense-checking. I'm planning to put together a bit of a walkthrough on how the feature will look and work, for you all to check out before public lobbies are live. - AI: The plans to adjust the way AI affect multiplayer races is also ongoing, with the goal of having human players fill up Quick Match lobbies instead of AI. This week we pushed a minor change live to the game, which adjusts the playlist timer system to encourage lobbies to fill up quicker and more often. Feel free to drop your feedback here if you're noticing any difference in your multiplayer experience. Any questions, just @ me into your comment and I'll do my best to get back to you 🙂

1 pointI have this exact same issue. It will constantly crash in the middle of stages (screen and audio freeze, then audio continues in background) or when uploading stage results or something in the service area. If I tab out of the game it will then crash and give me this access violation. I too have verified and re-installed. Support had me run the game in safe mode, still crashed in the menus. And now I'm stuck in safe mode even if I remove the launch option. This is super frustrating, as I bought the DLC to get past an issue where career mode would try to have me race DLC locations that I didn't have... So I've spent even more money on this game and can't play it. :( Steam, 4960k, GTX 980ti, 16gb ram, ssd, win 10, logitech g29, all other peripherals unplugged.

1 pointThanks guys! Great advice, thank you. @sloppysmusicA lot of ways to have fun with the game that I had not thought of.

1 pointSo you are saying there's actually a team working on level design? What have they been doing all these years lol? I don't think there's anyone working on this game anymore except for the DLC boys and honestly, shame on them if they really feel this is a state they can leave a 55 euro's game in. With features not working and hilarious oversights like this remaining in the games for every new version, no matter how many times they are reported. but the worst part is: NOONE IS TELLING US ANYTHING. we have no idea why it hasn't been fixed for this one and if it is being worked on for the next one? @BarryBL has been writing a lot for 7 weeks now.. the results of which have not been revealed to us yet.. The devs are telling us nothing about their future plans with the game. Either because they don't have any or because codemasters does not allow them? Who can tell. It Honestly just feels like they're waiting to announce the new game comes out in may and hope we forget this horrible version ever existed. But i hope they realize it will be very hard for people to get interested in the new game, when this one was o so bad and litteraly ZERO effort has been done to fix any of the issues, some of which have been around for years, some have been introduced in this game. This bump is THE perfect example for how codemasters fails to identify and fix issues with the CORE of the game. this should have been a day 1 hotfix with a "terribly sorry this snuck passed testing guys.. we're as embarrassed as we should be" note.

1 pointA solution would be left side gets mixed heavier toward left speaker and vice versa. Unless one of you is not racing at all it would sound pretty good. It's going to be a compromise anyway for fun, nobody would really want to race too seriously in this mode. The coolest part is that it's hard for one driver to race dirty as you can see what each other are up to! Plus of course it's not generally good to cheat against someone sitting next to you on the couch! 🛋️😂

1 pointok, i wait for the last codemasters update, and it will be released on the racedepartement or on YouTube, stay tuned.

1 pointI'm going to remind some people that the employees working on the track geometry may not be the same as those who are working on 2d car textures 🙂 There are different teams for (Technical Design/) Level Design, Environment Art and Vehicle Art for example. It's even possible that the vehicle art is created in a studio that is over 10 000 kilometres away! So basically having more skins most likely takes no resources from the team that is working on the track meshes.

1 pointIt should be like that , you will be able to create your own event with no AI , up to 99 laps tos et , assists on/off , damage on/off ect as in previous grid games..

1 pointNormally I like to look at things from a postive side, and not highlight the bad parts. I have been playing ever since the GP series from Geoff Grammond and I have seen them all. Comparing over the years is difficult because things that are now possible weren't available 15 years ago and could have made a game in those days so much better. One game however that I experienced the worst was F1 2014. Can't really name specific items I disliked, just because F1 2013 was great to play it's succesor was terrible.

1 pointThis just keeps happening. Just crashed twice in the same career rally event. It only happens in online related modes, not in freeplay. Usually after completing a stage when uploading stage time, but has happened elsewhere too. Has happened in career menu, and in test drive. My game is not modified in any way, and I have all DLC enabled. Have tried verifying files on Steam and reinstalling but that doesn't fix the problem. Have sent what must be damn near 20 error reports by now. And the FAQ link still doesn't work. What platform you're playing on (for PC also state Steam, Microsoft or Oculus): Steam What your PC setup/build is like (graphics card, processor etc.): 1230v3, GTX 1070, 16gb ram, SSD, Windows 10, SB Z If you're playing on PC, state whether you're in 2D or VR: 2D. 2560x1440 resolution Whether or not you have any non-standard peripherals connected, like steering wheels, gaming mice etc: Logitech G920 steering wheel+shifter

1 point@PJTierney, this is a good example of why your games like DR2.0 and Grid needs proper gaming statistics! It is very off putting to play a game when you are literally in pitch dark not knowing your progress. It is like 40 days in Sahara. To me it seems just lazy not to have anything in this department, then again I’m not a game developer. But having trackers of how I do, where I’m driving, for how long etc. is actually playing a crucial role for keeping up the interest of a game. Just look at the popularity of smart watches... 😎

1 pointoh boy, what a trophy.. Codemasters are you serious? I know this should be a long term trophy, but 40.000km??? and for PS4 players no progress indicator or something. I hope it will be added with a further update...

1 pointSo sad, in WRC 8 water puddle physics already has been implemented. They can spin your car, you can feel the aquaplanning
-
1 pointquestion asked was about why dr2 got features removed comparing to DR1. it's like writing the game from scratch instead of evolving it. At the and a client doesn't care about how many lines of code were reused. he expects new successor to be at least as good as previous edition. removed features feels odd then. And puddles is not the only feature: skins and setup workshop, 2D mirror for VR, full VR replay cameras and possibly more. BTW using generated puddles doesn't make their physics any harder to implement comparing to puddles on fixed positions. Game can know their position and deepness one way or another. No excuses

0 pointsHiya , i think you're spot on , chris was very very careful with his choice of words, do codemasters really believe they are selling games to 3 year olds, you can't even have a PlayStation account,it's 7 years upward and you need your parents as main account holders, It's like codemasters are talking to 3year old and you can basically tell them anything, and that's how I feel like codemasters treat there loyal customers, It's supposed to be a sim game , did you know chris that pcars2 season pass £6.99 , contains almost the same amount of content as THE New Grid 2019, ,you have to stop treating customers with so little respect, f12019 was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever seen, getting people to post about bugs and all the while nothing was fixed because you were actually changing the core of f12019 with patches to attract to a younger audience to sell more games, word by mouth, who would talk and promote the game more, 3 year olds upwards or grown up sim racers who runs leagues to promote codemasters games , thats how stupid you think customers are, sorry but over the last 6 months that's exactly how you have treated customers, ,it's not negative or positive, it's the truth, i promoted on dayone release of f12019 and got around 300 people to buy the game over the course of a month before you brought out the backhanded patches , people 300x game£50 = £15000. and that is a fact, and there's hundreds of likeminded people like me , so start treating your customers with the respect that all customers should be treated with,, i would still like a full refund for f12019 and for grid , people would pay extra if you would revert f12019 back to it's dayone release on the console, if you gave season 1 for free on grid, a lot more would have bought season pass for grid, ,I actually wonder how many staff members at codemasters are involved in leagues and actually race and talk to others online using wheels, promote your own game .

0 pointsok, so the water splashes in DR2 do have serious effects on the cars when you drive through them. the little ones don't because they are procedurally generated. you do see ripples in them from the rain, but that's it. keep in mind FH4 has like 10x the budget and player base of this game 😉

0 pointsYeah mate, absolute shocker we have to pay for content worked on by people with families to feed!
