1 pointWith public lobbies returning this month, these are the next steps for Codemasters to take to regain the trust of the community.

1 pointHey all, Thanks for the survey feedback. A big part of the feedback we received was to communicate what we are doing and more often. So, please see below for the latest high-priority developments for F1 2019 and what the Development Team is currently working on. Keyboard Binding Support (XBOX)- Thread- We have a proposed solution in final stages of testing. This is due to be released in the next patch coming in January 2020. Safety Car. We have some tweaks which are planned to improve the deployment behaviour which are currently in test and hope to release in a future patch. League Improvements. Thanks everyone for the feedback on the new 2019 leagues feature. We are continuing to make improvements to this and are hoping to have some updates released in a future patch (Hopefully the January 2020 patch upcoming). Wheel vs Pad Abilities- Thread- We are currently investigating statistics within leaderboards across all platforms to track data and any circumstances where one peripheral has an advantage over another. Our current findings are that, over the course of a race season, the difference is minimal. If you have any extreme scenarios (track, game mode, huge difference in timings etc) that you would like for us to gather data for, please add it to the appropriate thread. Logitech G29 Rotary Dial Mapping Issue. We have a proposed solution in test at the moment. Pending confirmation of these test results, we are hoping to release this in the next upcoming patch. Please continue to use the correct and appropriate forum threads to discuss, give constructive feedback and provide evidence where possible. It is always being monitored and appreciated. Once we can accurately re-produce an issue, we can start putting in place the fixes (where possible) to issues and improve the overall game experience For some topics, especially for some that create the most discussion with everyone, an update can take some time as more people from Codemasters will usually be involved. Once I do have a note-worthy update on things, I will keep everyone updated with anything else that is high on our agenda or any progress on the above.

1 point- Able to save up to 3 events (similar to how Project Cars 2 did it) so you can quickly run your favorite ones, without having to remember all the settings each time. - Able to set Track and Route to <random> for each of the rounds in the event (if Track is set to random, Route will be disabled as a setting) - Able to set Time of Day to <random> instead of having to always choose a specific time of day. These few tweaks would improve my enjoyment of the singleplayer racing in Grid quite a lot. Being able to quickly jump into Free Play, without having to setup the event each time would be a nice quality of life improvement. The extra random settings are nice for when you want that extra variation race to race, without having to specify each track specifically. Thanks for listening

1 pointWhat controls / triggers the broken car in the different stages? Is it the computer that decides when or else when the broken car gets put into the game ?? The same goes for animals… Seems when the CM is coming up with a new rally stage, so in the beginning there will be many and gradually it will be smaller, Helicopters were often there just when Finland came to DR 2.0 Now you never see them! Can't make so the frequency can be changed? And people who don't want it can just turn it off.

1 pointagree. This happen when fan base community have more (by far) hours of playing into the milestone game (grid1) than the average developers team… The community is not supposed to be a design teaching here or tell how some features have central importance. This is dev team job. They should already know that. So, that's why they screwed it so bad… designers and team managers are living into a fantasy world made of ''skirmish mode'' and multiplayer with AI inside... This game is dead, no matter how many seasons will come !!! Guys, better move forward !! Happy 2020 everyone.

1 pointThe original poster is trying to bring this game back up to a great state. So why are you guys hounding the OP, attacking him for bringing up good points? Seems contradictory, giving the fact that @Omiley brought up some good points. So I am going to add two more. Oh, and the sale upped the count to 312 players. More sponsor options. Even if they are restricted to specific livery types, like NO FEAR for Motorsport and Yokohama for Tuner. Adding extra options to your color choices, like metallic, matte, Pearlescent, and Iridescent. would bring more variety.

1 pointMistakes? This company is making racing games for 20 years! This is like Einstein makes a mistake counting 1+1 ! Even starting developers and indie teams design their games more professional!

1 pointThis is the worst game in franchise so far , you can see it by looking at player count, than if you play it you can see even more... This is how games die, when people lost interest in games, companies wont make any sequels because of poor profit. Game is lacking in cars, tracks, game modes, features, it's full of bugs and glitches ... Looks like its made for money only and not for players ! 75 euros for game that missing so much, its a rip off and slap in the face for fans of franchise. Let's hope that huge discount on steam make any difference. This game , even if all of us want it, can't be repaired in current state. It's made like this with purpose (game design - idea) and even a small change need a serious work , that they won't do I am sure. All they can do is , after they release all the seasons for 2019 title, to focus on a new game, and i hope , way better game !

1 pointI havent yet refunded I technically have 17 mins left so might give it a whirl with the pad to see if its easier I expect it is. But yes I gave it a whirl and didnt like it. Its probably an okay handling system but 2019s cars had insane downforce it should be pretty nailed to the track. I could probably get used to the handling over time theres no doubt I only paid 18 quid for the game but it looks like a roster updates 2018 game with worser handling and better visual. If you havent had an F1 game for few years its probably a great game. I imagine going from 2016 to this would be a good step. 2017 and 18 were fairly small steps. Id like more time with the game but I dont wanna go over 2 hours and then still not like the game. In fairness I also got assetto corsa and its a right pain in the bottom trying to map my wheel to the game. But when I finally got to drive a formula hybrid car it felt great. Yeah the initial price tag was daylight robbery for what it was. Think £25 on release would have been reasonable.

1 pointThe former, I believe, rather than the latter - players create the lobbies which are visible to others. I'm checking in today and next week to get a full overview, so I can provide you all with a bit of a walkthrough on how it'll work. As above, I'm checking in with them for the first time today and next week - no negative news so far, so I'm expecting it to be available in January, ahead of Season 2 🙂

1 pointThe people here already gave a lot of great advice, but if you want to hear mine as well: never, ever, use a wireless controller. If you're using one right now, throw it in the bin and go buy a more serious one.

1 pointReverse tracks are crutches, they need to add actual tracks instead of relying on those to fill out a track list. A toggle option would be fine I suppose, but the livery tool has already been proven to work. Your uploads are scanned for inappropriate designs and removed, in some cases banning repeat offenders. I have a laundry list of things they should address but I understand only so much can be done at this point. So I kept it short for the time being until public lobbies returns and we can go from there.
-
1 pointThere is a minor thing about the tracks, I think it should be just an option to toggle standard / reverse (as removing it all together would be a bit extreme). I also don't think custom liveries would not do much, as it could only force Codemasters to censor some of the community art (like Adult content and Curse words). Maybe add options for color (Metallic, Matte, Pearlescent, and Iridescent,) would help fill the gap a little bit. I do agree with balancing the class and increasing the tracks per season. There is more stuff I would add too, Like Endurance to consoles and the ability to save my custom championships. Don't take this the wrong way though. I am not saying your argument is invalid. I am telling you that two of your points might not work.
-
1 pointThanks, I really hope CM takes the necessary steps to fix things. They have all the right components to take GRID to the next level, just seem to lack proper guidance it would seem.
-
1 pointPerfection! This should be a road map Codemasters need to follow to bring this game back.

1 pointGood points, there is a level you reach where you just can't seem to go faster when judged by lap times. Except lap times are just mini sprints not marathon concentration of effort. You don't get a trophy for being in pole position only if you finish the race on the podium. So make a note of your total race time. THAT'S the more accurate marker of your skills. 3 great laps and 65 ok ones don't win races. 68 GOOD laps win races! 🏎️👍😎

1 pointStill needs more tho - and that's coming from the "weird" driver who refuses to tune cars and only runs stock setups. Gravel alone would need more than 8 setups. Finland Dry/Wet, Greece Dry/Wet, Wales Dry/Wet, and New England Dry/Wet could burn those 8 slots because all of those are very different setups for people. And there are still even more locations you could need setups for, before factoring in "test" or "work-in-progress" setups. If you already have 7 setups you like, you're forced to save the last slot for your "test bench" or you're forced to screenshot/write things down on paper. The setup save data should be tiny, absolutely unnoticeable on your system, so give us unlimited slots. There is no reason to limit them, and if you must limit them then at least use something no sane person will hit like 99 setups per car.

1 pointyup, it sucks. need more. it's worse in RX because there are now more tracks than save slots!
