3 pointsIn another topic, @ChrisGrovesMCM told me that the devs aren't looking to add this mode. So I tought about making a topic, to see if people are interested. And if we are, maybe they can consider it 😋 I'm talking about a mode that is a staple in CM racing games. F1 has it, Dirt games has it, even Autosport had it... Add some daily/weekly/maybe even monthly events connected to race net. Different tracks, car classes, difficulty, even now can add race length. People race, and take a part on leaderboard based on finishing position/total race time. At the end of the week or whatever, you receive in game money according to your position on the leaderboard (let's say, top 2000). Would you guys be interested in something like that? Let CM hear us then! 😁😁

3 pointsTalking about locations: If I made any mistake, let me know. I don't know if this could be an indication, but from CMR 2.0, some iconic countries aren't in DR2.0. It is interesting that DiRT Rally 2.0 has the most Rally locations in the history of Codemasters rally games. Not suprisingly that UK has been the most visited featured location. Although it was absent with the more American styled DiRT 2 and DiRT 3 editions.

3 pointsI’d like Safari but would be happy with more stages on the existing countries.
-
2 pointsthe stages could be more accurate and correct for a harder challenge!

2 pointsGreat graphic!!! Guess in DR2.0 the USA have to be green and the UK yellow, as the yellow ones are the DLC ?! Respect for the work you put in that mate!

2 pointsI would not say that there is no fog in rain. It is approximately the same amount of fog we had before in dusk, wet conditions. It is less visible, because it is blue and everything in such conditions disappear in blue haze. And yes, it affects performance. FPS on my toaster drops to 38 almost through all the stage. It only happened before in Poland in some very special places. I guess the reason for this is how modern graphics is made. Before there was limited light processing, so developers had to invest in better texture quality to make it look good. And they succeeded it so we have very beautiful Dirt Rally 2015, that in some cases (Greece, Finland) looks even better than more modern Dirt Rally 2.0. There were some disadvantages - fixed textures are fixed and creating realistic track degradation would cause a lot of effort to draw all the details. Modern graphics development is concentrated more on post processing (light and shade effects, ray tracing, etc.) Being under pressure from hard dead lines and profit expectations, developers usually economize time on textures, concentrating more on new staff and masking things that don't look great with some dirty tricks (hiding them in shades or smoke). That is why road surface in Dirt Rally 2.0 does not look so great, but instead it can be dynamically changed in new light and now we have surface degradation mechanics. Personally I don't like the way EGO engine evolved since Dirt 4 into plasticine kind of graphics. Distant pine trees even with ultra settings look like toys. Headlights at night shine bright but don't light enough distance, creating very unrealistically contrast picture. Some fences and nets, as well as crowd, cause huge FPS drop in some places. And since it is graphical engine problems, it is unlikely that it can be fixed in present title. Hope Codemasters are doing enough profits to invest in future development of their graphics engine for next title to support all that bells and whistles that we like to see in modern racing game - photo-realistic graphics, long real size stages, dynamic weather change, realistic road physics, tire degradation and car destructibility, etc.

2 pointsI apologize for having misunderstood your message and attacked and painted you for what you are not. What you have told about yourself really does you honor, your altruism towards the most needy people is now a rare commodity in an increasingly superficial and empty world. I reacted in this way because of the fact that in this same post I was accused of victimization and exaggeration and I believed that yours was yet another free attack. Obviously I was wrong. Many times in this forum, I happened to support someone for a request that did not interest me at all and that I considered secondary, but I knew that only through the achievement of a certain "number" was it taken into consideration and, for this reason, I joined the others. I would never allow myself to negatively criticize someone else's request or complaint solely because that problem does not concern me, and moreover if it is a delicate situation. Unfortunately, this is easy for many others. In any case, and returning to the game in question, it would be appreciable if they gave everyone the opportunity to use the same service for which we paid and, in my point of view, this should be a priority compared to liveries, achievements, etc. I find it more of a necessity than an addition in itself. I wish you a goodnight and sorry again.

1 pointAbsolutely!! At least 1 more long stage per location (but I'd prefer 2) and a spectator/super special. Would mean we could have decent length rallies without having to repeat stages more than twice.

1 pointI'm just trying to explain the situation from both a personal point of view, an objective factual one and from different angles. What you describe me as, is completely the opposite of who I actually am. Your description can't be further from reality, about the skills I possess and my character as a person. Yes, I do have several WR's, which I'm rightfully proud of. Yes, I have tried plenty of OTHER serious racing games as I own about 20 sim racing titles (e.g. AC, AC Competizione, iRacing and R3E to just name a few). Yes, I have competed in many of those games at a decently high level but I was forced to focus on just one as my personal and professional life are still my priority. No, I'm not just good at chatting but much more and I'm also not convincing myself of how good I am because I know I am, as do many others. The only point you did get right, is that I do play alone in my room, when I do play, as I need to be fully focused to test, set up the car, work on my driving lines and braking points etc. for upcoming high level club events to compete with the best drivers in this game such as Jarod Pesch, Kryspa, Nickardi and many more. These are all people who competed in the quarter, semi and/or grand final(s) of the World Series. Those things you mentioned about me are pointless in this conversation and have no purpose to get to the point you made after those lines. I do know many driving games have that option but that does not oblige the devs to put it in as well. The time they had, the money that was/is at their disposal and the amount of people working on the project/game, led to a priority list of content and features they were going to implement, and are still doing that today. The feature you 'ask' for from the devs, which is sounding more and more like a demand rather than a request, was not amongst the features on that list. That's how game development works. If they had all the time, money and manpower in the world at their disposal, sure it would most likely be in the game but that's not how it is in reality. And one more thing, I am one of the people that tries to make the world go around on a daily basis. I help those in need in my community every week without asking anything in return. I take time out of my day to offer less fortunate people food and drink. I help children overcome learning disabilities voluntarily etc. And for this DR2.0 community, I design liveries for others to download and install into the game for free and that in my leisure time, not asking for anything in return, always helping those out that have questions or requests and plenty more. My final question to you is, what have you done lately to make the world go around and make everything a bit more bearable for those around you? So remember that next time you attack a man who's trying to give you a clear/logical explanation as to why the feature is not in the game, make sure you know who you're up against so you won't look like a disrespectful and shameful fool. I bid you goodnight.

1 pointJust copy the system from G2 or GAS... cars automatically start any race in mint condition, why would you force me to clean the car manually every time?

1 pointThe mismatched names has been acknowledged, looking like a fix for 1.13 at the earliest. We’re putting out a hotfix on Steam/Oculus in the near future but that’s specifically for VR issues that came from 1.12.

1 pointThank you, thank you, thank you!!! This was the most requested feature, at least for me. Now I can finally sit up and finish the career! I haven't by now because I was wating for this. Longest races makes perfect sense in this game, more than in others. With this, I think you guys already addressed the most requested features of the game, in mere fourth months or so. Thank you for doing it... other devs just leave their games as they are. I can say that you guys really heard our complaints. But now, we want more! Lol... there are still lessen things that can be addressed, and some things to be added and make the game more interesting. I hope you guys keep supporting the game past this three seasons!
