3 pointsAdding a few more things that I missed, they've been on my mind for a long time and also many have been included in my points Based DR 2.0 Steam review: - (not sure if mentioned yet) Complete offline career with all bells and whistles beside the online one, ideally ability to create several offline careers. - Add ability to have more than 12 stages per championship event, and more than 6 events in a championship. - Introduce power steering failure (optional feature with injury/damage warning that must be accepted) - Rutts that show clearer lines made by professionals, sometimes it looks like there are 50 different lines all over the place. - UDP output that includes ID's for cars and tracks, as well as manifold pressure info, coolant temperature, and tyre/brake info. All necessities for proper data display and logging. - Ability to create Events/Championships/Clubs/Compeititions based on cherry picking vehicle classes and individual vehicles for them. For example to be able to throw some 2WD compeititions together. - Snow and mud/terrain realism: ability to get stuck in snow banks and precarious ditches, with all vehicles including R5. Just like real life. - Force Clutch Override on, and remove the option. Makes no sense to have this option, and especially as an assist. It's an anti assist if anything. - Add more setup saving slots. Only 8 setups can be saved per car per surface type. Grossly insufficient. - Please fix the cut areas somehow, progressive penalties based on distance / time and a gradient of drag off the road would be welcome. Resets only in emergencies (going off the map) - Inconsistent and late pace notes. Number one there needs to be a method to advance the pacenote calls even more. Two - if possible then from within the car during the ride a button to slow or speed up the co driver. Lastly correct some of the incorrect calls. - Finland clear/day stages are covered with thick forest fire smoke limiting visibiliy. Photo realistic rendering is very important to a sim, and I hope this is addressed in rev 3. - Montecarlo ice sections need to be more slippy if it's meant to be proper ice sections with winter tyres (not studded). - "wash" mode on windshield wipers (would be nice to wash away some of the late stage grime etc). - Feature to render and simulate pulled up rocks on the stages, which can cause punctures/damage.

2 pointsIn Finland you can barely see the road in what should be crystal clear weather with no fog at all, looks utterly horrible (so bad that Codies can't show screenshots of it), and completely unrealistic and that is coming from someone who lives in Finland. Foggy weather is one thing, but this isn't that. They added a thick fog to clear weather "for performance reasons", they couldn't bother to make it run well on consoles and low-end pc's while looking decent so they downgraded it in the absolute worst way possible that completely ruins daytime Finland. And to add insult to injury they promote it with fake screenshots that look nothing at all like the real game since they don't have the fog. The fog is also very awful looking in other locations like Wales and some RX tracks but daytime Finland is entirely different level. Adding fog to increase performance is just a completely wrong mentality, clear and realistic visuals should be the basis of a racing sim's graphics.

2 pointsVERY basic comparison: Ford Fiesta WRC: 4WD. 1600cc turbo charged 4 cylinder engine. 36mm turbo restrictor. Approximately 380 BHP. Ford Fiesta R5: 4WD. 1600cc turbo charged 4 cylinder engine. 32mm turbo restrictor. Approximately 290 BHP. Ford Fiesta R2: 2WD. 999cc turbo charged 3 cylinder engine. Approximately 200 BHP.

2 pointsI wouldn’t want codemasters to be restricted by a wrc licence to be honest. I’d love to see what they would do with it for a one off, but trying to do an annual release doesn’t work with early games in my opinion. It would be too much to try and create new stages each year, and you end up with the same ones each year

2 pointsTo update you @JuanCarMR and @saukisu We don't have an exact date for this to be added, but this is planned to be in our next patch. Thanks for your report on this, appreciated. 👍

1 pointHi everyone, I've had an idea that I'd like to try for a little while, a more relaxed and fun one than usual. With full knowledge and appreciation that I WILL be destroyed into Turn 1 at every single occasion, I will be jumping into Lobbies on PC. This will more than likely be on a Friday afternoon, so between and roughly 2:30pm and 5:30pm UTC, to take on all challengers. I will post to let people know I'm online so they can find me! A few disclaimers on this: Won't be every week. More often than not I won't have a microphone (for now). I'll be literally joining in from my desk. This is no esports series, so assists will be all open so anyone can join. It might be a nice idea that, if you are planning to track me down, to change your Steam name to match your forum name. Everyone knows who everyone is then! I want to use trial this idea for forum players to come together with a common enemy (me) at its heart! (Or to have some top racing with your fellow forum users, which is preferred) See it is a Where's Wally, but Where's Barry (to be honest, the first one would equally apply in some opinions 😛 ) See you on the track (and from the barriers at T1), Barry

1 pointI would really like Grid to focus a little and actually having a story base, like you start career in touring cars and promote to dtm or something. problem is that requires tracks 😕 2020 BTTC season: 28-29 Mar Donington Park 11-12 Apr Brands Hatch Indy 25-26 Apr Silverstone National 16-17 May Thruxton 13-14 Jun Oulton Park 25-26 Jul Snetterton 15-16 Aug Croft 29-30 Aug Knockhill 26-27 Sep Silverstone International 10-11 Oct Brands Hatch GP

1 pointI use an external one that was written by Iko Rein, which is good. But to make this work I have to run it on my Mac as I am running the game on the PS4. Racing Sim Tools produces an excellent telemetry module for PC - which unfortunately I can't run - but I do watch their setup videos as they are quite good. The real point to the response I made was that an F1 game without telemetry in it is like a modern flight game without an instrument panel. In a race weekend much more time is spent trying to get the car setup correct than is spent on qualifying and the actual race. Virtually everyone on the team is reviewing telemetry data - particularly the driver - and the strategies for the race are derived from what that data is telling the team. No team would even think about trying to operate without telemetry. Yet it is missing in the game - which does make it an unrealistic F1 experience. Previous games that were considered quality F1 games included detailed telemetry (Gran Prix 4 and F1 Challenge '99-'02 as examples) and those were developed almost 20 years ago. So it is frustrating when @BarryBL says "Our handling team have had engineers on telemetry analyse the game, and they were pleased with how the cars reacted to setup changes." I enjoy the game as it is certainly fun to drive F1 styled cars around the variety of tracks and the physics have certainly improved over the last couple of releases, and the graphics are remarkable - but it continues to lack a central F1 component.

1 pointYeah the classes are confusing and changing on a regular bases, see the R4 class this year. And on top of that you can expect a electric class in near future, spectators will be insructed to say 'broem broem"

1 pointThe fog can give some pretty nice screenshots https://forums.codemasters.com/topic/38646-dirt-rally-20-share-your-screenshots/?do=findComment&comment=490493

1 pointOne point worth making even if we’re keeping it basic is that none of these cars have any interchangeable parts i.e. you cannot upgrade an R2 to an R5 nor an R5 to a WRC

1 pointI don't think Stevie is referring to the CURRENT ERS coding when he says using auto would be the ideal way of racing. I'm sure he means the coding should match real life F1 more accurately. It's not that pressing 2 buttons is difficult for him but that the real life drivers don't have to do it so why should we?! The whole ERS system in game is unrealistic at the moment. I get that it's a real life option so adding it to the game is a selling point but making it so the team has more control over it and the driver could request changes instead of constantly fiddling with buttons would be preferable. I realize interaction with the team itself requires pressing buttons or using voice commands so it would need to be kept simple. It would be kinda (sorry not saying "hella") cool if Jeff came on the radio and said "OK we plan to pit in 3 laps so we're increasing your power to mode 4 starting from turn x until you come in so please push push push mate."

1 pointyeah R5 isnt top WRC is. they cost about 5x more than a R5 car. a R5 fiesta for eg can be brought ready to rally for about £200,000.
-
1 pointWorld rally car R5 R4 R3 R2 R1 That is the official rally class system, in a similar way to which open wheel goes F1-F4

1 pointAttitude won't help. This isn't your thread as it relates to PS4 and streaming, so please don't tailgate. Search the forum for your issue on Steam and if necessary, post a thread.

1 pointXbox deluxe edition + individual dlc : Game freeze and crash back to menu bug Always on the start line of a rallycross event, any game mode. Just happened twice In the current weekly Ai challenge in Canada, so has made a casserole of nonsense of the whole event.

1 pointUpgrading? But drift was pretty nice in Autosport!
-
1 pointIf you missed out on these Challenges, we will make the liveries available again later in the year.
-
1 pointPlease release next patch, the game started to crash after completing every single stage.

1 pointI was wondering, since the whole theme is Colin McRae, I'd assume Nicky Grist and/or Derek Ringer will be added as co-drivers for the special events. If this would be the case (which I sure as hell hope so) would that mean we can use them in the other parts of the game aka use them instead of Phil Mills?

1 pointImagine F1 2020 bundled with a career mode that instead of spanning 10 years of silly R&D upgrades like past games actually had all the cars and drivers from the last 10 years. You'd start in 2011 and FINISH in 2020 having experienced an amazing 10 years of modern car development. I reckon that career mode would be MASSIVE and see a huge boost in sales over previous titles. I'd buy it for sure even if it was riddled with bugs. I'd be so excited to do the whole 10 year career even if I raced poorly. Well I can dream can't I?
