The editor in Forza is vastly different to what native dev tools can use. Also, fan-made liveries don't have any licensing requirements 😉 When I joined, I gave feedback on the Season 1 and 2 designs, and asked dev team if Season 3 and 4 designs could have more logos and be more "rally like". They took that on board 🙂 I know why that downvote came in, previous posting history and all that.

Hi everyone, I've added this revised ERS format as a suggestion to the developers for consideration for future titles.

Hi everyone, Once again, we have returned with a deeper dive into the latest patch for F1 2019. We’ve seen that you are all enjoying the more in-depth look into the new additions and bug fixes that we have been bringing over the last few patches – so let’s keep that train rolling. Speed trap notification in practice sessions We have been constantly looking at new ways to notify you, the player, on just how quick you are going through the speed trap so that you can see your improvement lap after lap. With this latest addition, you will now start to see a HUD notification indicating exactly this. This notification will only appear in practice sessions to help you with your setup choices and analysis of your laps and only on those laps where you manage to improve your speed through the trap. Pit stop penalty notification If you are prone to receiving penalties, you might find it a little odd when your pit crew don’t immediately get to work on your car when you head in for some fresh rubber. To solve this, we’ve now added a new indicator to the pit timer to show you that you are serving a penalty. This will only be shown for penalties where the car is stopped prior to any changes being made to the car i.e. a 5-second time penalty. Front wing repair threshold You might remember in the last patch that we reduced the minimum physical damage required before your pit crew would change your front wing when you had asked for it via your MFD. We’ve taken your feedback on-board and we’ve brought this same threshold into practice and qualifying sessions so that you aren’t leaving any time on the track. If you have minor damage, this will now automatically be repaired when you return to the garage and will have to be completed before you can head out for your next run. Radio Language Setting Thank you for your feedback and reporting the removal of this option in a previous patch. This option is returning! With the game in any supported, non-English language, you will now once again be able to select the language of your radio audio. For example, this means that you can have your game language in German and your radio language in English should you wish. This setting can be found in Options > Audio > Advanced Audio settings > Radio Language. Leagues – Failure to submit result We had been made aware of an issue where with split weekends enabled alongside full qualifying, the race the results would not be submitted upon completion. This was a result of members of the league not qualifying for either Q2 or Q3 sessions and the race looking for these results instead. This has been fixed in this patch. Progress through championship We have now made it easier for you to see exactly how many race weekends you have left in your championship. This means no more loading in and out of the game mode to see how long you have until you secure your next drivers’ world championship. When loading into a session you will now see a round counter displaying the race weekend number you are in versus the total number of race weekends. If you have any issues with anything in this patch then please do let us know.

Somehing that has always bothered me over the past 10 years, in Codemasters F1 franchise, is the incorrect use of the Neutral gear. In reality: -Neutral gear can not be accidentally selected, if the driver is "spamming" the gear downshift pedal -Neutral gear can only be selected if, the driver presses the allocated button for it, to make sure that the gearbox does not take damage. In Codemasters F1 games: -If you "spam" the downshift gear too fast, you will always end up "accidentally" selecting the Neutral gear. -Selecting Neutral gear in such a quick manner does not damage the gearbox. What i'd love to see is that Codemasters fixes this issue, to finally bring a little bit more realism for the gearbox and gear shifting procedure in the game. How can that be achieved? One possible solution would be to make Neutral gear only available to be selected if you are in 1st gear and hold the downshift button/pedal for at least 1,5 seconds, this way it will be impossible to "accidentally" select Neutral gear in tight corners such as "Loews" in Monaco.

@CMTGK I think you are missing what people are saying, from a quick glance at the rather short thread: AI balancing issue between tracks: Hard AI is very hard on some tracks but too easy on others. AI glitching: AI crashing or going off track and being unable to correct themselves (personally i have seen a group of cars rocking back and fore in Barcelona with nervous breakdowns) Some people want harder AI so once AI is balanced correctly across tracks then they want an Insane level AI.

The layout for Nurburgring is out. I was expecting a lot better but it seems to be one of those "modern" tracks with many chicanes and not that much gravel sections. https://www.nuerburgring.de/en/news/artikel/nuerburgring-stellt-rallycross-strecke-fuer-fia-wm-rennen-vor.html

Subjective. In our DRC club are some people, who are quite on the same pace. The leaderboards have also some huge gaps between the best car in the class and the worst. But you can't balance the cars perfectly because they should be accurate. Most classes are good balanced, as good as it can be. But Group A and 2000cc not really, they should have been splitted. It's not as bad, so it's not really a big deal for me, but an option to exclude cars in clubs would have been made things easier.

Oh its amazing! Not quite the visceral experience it used to be with the engine noise but still incredible. Melbourne GP has a great vibe and its easy to get around and do what you want to. Lot more relaxed than a lot of other venues. Monaco is a shocker, always felt like a pauper there! This year I'm going to Spa and Monza...possibly Hanoi as well but thats up in the air atm.

Track recommendations: Mount Panorama Sand Down Adelaide 500 Street Circuit Feature Recommendations: What the current fastest lap is and who it's set by during the race. A best sector 1, 2 and 3 time while racing and for qualifying for both yourself and other drivers A time difference on the leaderboard for people behind you and people ahead to know how far you are behind another car.

Bit disappointed that the Evo VI and the '99 Impreza won't be in the same class and online there's no such thing as multiclass. Whoever came up with that class structure (240Z in same class as M3 being the biggest crime), please revise it going forward (if it's not possible to do it for DR2).

GRID (2019) was designed with the lowest common denominator in mind. Imagine if the PC version was making console look even worse than it is already 😄 But please, pretty please, give us a shadow draw distance option - if there is such a thing.

Hopefully we get a few extra liveries as well with these cars. Would love to see the Gold No Fear from the old XGames event from 06

I don't know what limitations are you talking about. All I know 6 years ago there were GRID2 and GRID Autosport with amazing visuals and distant LOD. After all these years technologies made a huge step ahead and they say it's impossible to create even 2013 level backgrounds? This is BS. I expected LOD would be 2 times longer, not 2 times shorter!!! What was improved in the game? Lighting, cars, crowd and weather. And you want to say 6-years gap in technologies wasn't enough for that??? They didn't add 2 times bigger locations, they didn't double amount of cars on the track, they didn't even apply real-time reflections on the road. SO WHAT THE HELL ATE ALL RESOURCES??? Frankly speaking, as a customer I even don't need any explanation. The game from 2013 has more consistent visuals. This is what I see as a customer. Period.

May i ask @PJTierney, I did look at few Liveries that you made on your site, You are very talented, is there chance You could make some liveries for Cars in DR 2.0? this liveries could sell via Store or as Pack) to be honest most "special D+" liveries are not really "special" (there where one or two nice, other really meh..)

I say NO to this. I paid for this and I want to decide how to play the game. And i want to use the freeplay mode to create my own events and get a fair amount of credits for them.

10x more ? Last time i played I got 50000 credits for a 3 lap career event and 99 !!! credits for the same in freeplay... It´s just ridiculous... This mode is ruined..! And no one from CM or the community managers seem to care about... 👎 Or am i wrong ? @CMTGK

This is absolutely beautiful. Would you be willing to explain how to make things like tinted windows and matte/metallic paint finishes or point me in the right direction? I can't seem to find any guides...

Platform: X-Box One S (latest Firmware + Game-Version 1.12.0) Version: Retail Deluxe + Season 3+4-Pass Where? My Team Rally-Career on Elite difficulty. Description: For the 3rd time in a row, between multiple months each time with several game versions, the game crashed before I could finish the entire championship. This time in the 4th rally (Monaco) after the 2nd stage in a Opel Manta 400. The first 2 times were similar, it always chrashes quite late in the championship after a stage while trying to load the leaderboard. I get an annoying sound before the game crashes to dashboard. After restart the game resets my progress. Every. Single. Time. It is not possible to finish a championship for me. I tried it now 3 times.

Hey! The survey link seems to be some hours late this time due to some circumstances. This survey is about your enjoyment with the game and if you're going to purchase the next game (+ why/why not and etc.) Link to the survey: https://surveymonkey.co.uk/r/f12019-survey Also please do note that I'm not a Codemasters employee. I just wanted to post this as no one else is around right now 🙂

Hi @TheEmpireWasRight, I currently cannot comment on future titles at this time, however, the suggestion of a more realistic ERS system is something that the developers will take into consideration moving forward.
  23. 1 point
I really like to manage ERS during league races and it's not very hard to handle.
  24. 1 point
Nah its horrible. Don't do it in real life then why do it in the game. Realism and all that !

Hi Alex, At this moment in time, we have 1 more patch in the development plans. As you can imagine, sometimes these are subject to change, but we are continuing to support the game
