5 pointsImo since Barry joined the club this forum is heading in the right direction. More interaction between players, sharing info and reaction in the forum is way better than before. Lets give Barry some credits for his outstanding job. Keep up the good work Barry!!!

3 pointsNobody expects updates to old games, they just expect large sections of them to remain working. It took about two decades for many, much older games, to lose their master servers... and a single MS address is usually easy enough for the community to replace themselves (e.g. BF1942, RvS). And many of those older games still have their old official master server running. None of this always-online and/or DRM nonsense with the servers being shut down in a couple years when the developers churn out their sloppy sequels with money-grubbing DLC galore. If you're going to make a game and run your own servers for large sections of the games to work, you should at least keep them working while people still play your games instead of pulling support in hopes that they put up with your bullspit and buy your DLC-riddled console kid game for immature fanboys who always get triggered like a little spoiled brat being denied candy at the checkout counter when someone brings up valid criticism. It's a "good job you wasn't" an English professor. Games released in the 80's and 90's aren't missing large sections of them, broken by always-online idiocy losing support or servers required to access certain features being shut down. I'm really not surprised the CM community is a bunch of blind immature zealot fanboys. For someone pretending to have played games back then, you sure have a lot of growing up to do yet. Yeah, it's crazy how many much older games have less missing features compared to games released just a couple years ago... and the corporate fanboys and their programmed groupthink always come like clockwork to white knight a company that doesn't even care about them. The only reason that D3 still has support is because the dumbasses at Ch0deM4sters didn't run their own servers for large sections of the game to keep working.

2 pointsyah I really miss the first racing games i ever played, NFS II and NFS III. they had tournament & knockout (one of each), single race, split screen and LAN and/or online play! oh and have fun trying to get them to run on anything more recent than Windows XP, not to mention getting online races going. they had 15-20 cars and ~8km of roads and like 2-3 difficulty levels. who wants a career mode, car tuning, decent physics, damage models, stage degradation, hundreds of km of roads, dozens of cars, etc? you ever play a text-based game? I think we should go back to those. it's like reading a book, except to get to the next paragraph you use trial and error instead of... your eyes. it's a highly efficient way to spend your time, and clearly the work of auteur developers, so you gotta support. and companies 20 years ago weren't better than they are now, you were just younger and unaware of all the nasty stuff they got up to because you were less world-weary and we didn't have youtube to overanalyze the everliving **** out of everything. you ever play GTA San Andreas? it ran (and looked) like trash whenever it rained [in the game, though it'd be funny if it could sense when it was raining for real wherever you were] yet somehow it still managed to sell a hilarious number of copies. because people didn't care about that kind of stuff back then. dear god humans are terrible at remembering what things were actually like in the past (much less times/places in which they never lived). corporate fanboys? preprogrammed groupthink? always come like clockwork? [phrasing, haha] who are you, Alex Jones' third-favourite stepchild? white knight isn't a verb, professor. and you shouldn't add "yet" to the phrase "have a lot of growing up to do" because the meaning is already implied, professor. and English professors don't study grammar, professor, they study literature: so - haakchewaly - a grammarian is what you're after. but wait! 2 accounts with minimal numbers of posts that joined this forum today? all of them talking about long-term support? did you just make a 2nd account to make it look like someone is agreeing with you? no? well then, you two absolutely must be ....... (searching for minimally plausible thing) ...... bigben employees trying to stoke fear in the hearts of their bitterest-est (it's like bitter, but double extra!!!) rivals. but keep going, because there's nothing I love more in an attempted troll than when they start getting stomped in arguments and react by insulting others instead of engaging in "valid criticism": "If you're going to make a game and run your own servers for large sections of the games to work, you should at least keep them working while people still play your games instead of pulling support in hopes that they put up with your bullspit and buy your DLC-riddled console kid game for immature fanboys who always get triggered" and no, this is not valid (much less constructive) criticism, you hypocritical Aye-aye. (sorry, was just watching a nature documentary series set in Madagascar)

2 pointsGrid 2 is the worst Grid game in terms of handling/physics , content , graphics is great and overall is a good arcade racing game
-
2 pointsCan we please have a official or as close as possible for the 2007 Focus
-
2 pointsOf course not. But when 6 years ago GRID2 HAD high res trackside textures and acceptable shadow draw distance it's weird to see such a letdown in 2019!

2 pointsI mean, what "support" do you expect for DR1 at this point or even D4? You won't be getting updates to those games, the final chapter closed on them a long time ago and the resources will be focused on future content or supporting the current title. If you wait years before buying the game, don't be surprised when you show up that it has little to no ongoing support. DR2 is sunsetting "major" support to the title barring any serious issues that get introduced with the McRae Flatout pack in a few weeks. They've supported it with tons of DLC and patches; we are coming up on the 14th patch since launch - that seems like support to me. But what more do you expect from here? We received double the original stage count. DR2 was designed to work on the old, dying consoles of last generation. Those consoles already held back the engine. Why keep supporting them heavily when CM could put resources into the new engines they are building for the next-gen consoles. And you act like the CM turned off the servers for DR1 and D4. They didn't Dailies and MP events can still be done on them. If you expect them to go clean up leaderboards that are 7 years old though... you're never going to see that. It's a waste of time and resources.

1 pointI hope this thread gets a little bit of attention... Topic: F1 2019 don't let us invite friends to ranked lobbies anymore. Why they probably done that: To ensure, friends don't boost each other to ranks they don't deserve. To ensure, friends with D rank don't get invited to S or A lobbies. This leads to: Many players stopped playing lobbies at all. The playerbase is obviously smaller than in F1 2018. S-Lobbies are rare. To find lobbies at all, they put S-players in C/D-Lobbies nethertheless. Most time you will find no ranked lobby at all 25% lobbies are dead. plus: ranked is not a bit fairer than in F1 2018 My personal experience: I am a community leader from germany. We are 750 gamers and 70 active F1 players (in our 3 leagues) at the moment. Our community and the friends from other german communities loved F1 2018 and loved playing ranked together. We don't have a single unfair player with us. Almost everyday a few of us played ranked together and we enjoyed that a lot. It is a good distraction from league races. ...Why would you play alone when you are in teamspeak with other people. Now we as a whole community stopped playing lobbies... From what I read hear and on reddit, ranked is not a bit fairer than in F1 2018. Also boosting was never a problem in F1 2018. Not like in other games like rocket league (where you still can play ranked with friends and it works great). "Just play unranked" Most players just play to compare themselves with others in competitive manner. And almost every other game let people do that with their friends. PC-Gamers trend to play games in teams und often don't care about unranked modes at all. Also unfair players are allowed to crash you in every second corner without any punishment. You can't avoid this people in unranked. We want to play together with other people online the drive as fair as we do. Suggestion There will still be people out there that will disagree with this thread. I hope all players that usually play ranked alone won't dislike this thread straightforward. 1) There is a simple solution: Bring friend-invites back, but if the safety rank of the invited player don't fits the regulations of the lobby put him in visitor state. Of course: In a C-Lobby you should still be allowed to invite S-ranked friends as they should be aware of possible D-ranked players in this lobby. @Faya Kind regards, iosis

1 pointYep my parents gave it to me for my 21st Bday, that was just after I wrote off my first car a modern Mini...I sorta rolled it lol, wasn't hurt but still lol 😞
-
1 pointIt's going to be dark when you use them and you never see the cars from the front except in replays, so who cares!?

1 pointdon't worry too much about the exact numbers and stuff until the event is over & you get sent to the reward screen. then look at the leaderboard. on the graph at the bottom where it shows which Tier you're in, it'll now have precise times that indicate the slowest person to make it into each tier. if you check how many people completed the event (including those who retire) and look at the ranks of each of the players who have cutoff times (just 3 in the whole list to divide the 4 tiers) they will correspond exactly (give or take a couple decimal places) to the percentages of - 10%, 35% and 75%. that's how I got those numbers of 10%, 25%, 40% and 25%. 🙂 I'd attach a screenshot, but I don't have one and haven't participated in any challenges that will end before next week, sorry

1 pointYou really should read the FAQ in the blog post 😄 They're coming to everyone in a (small) future update. Currently looking like 1.14, which will be about a month or so (hopefully) after Colin, but everything beyond Colin is very much TBC.

1 pointIt's not a terrible game - just one with bare minimum content and features, abysmal testing before launch and a complete lack of understanding what a multiplayer driving game should offer to satisfy all types of racers. It should have built on what came before. The explanation from CM on the demands of the physics engine make logical sense and the new lighting and weather effects are (in my opinion) mostly a success. But my PC is not constrained for CPU/GPU resources ... I will always choose higher framerate over ultra graphics in a racing game, aiming for about 100 fps to get full control of the car. The low res trackside textures and awful shadow draw distance do not indicate a broken game, but should be fixed. Please let us decide the balance between framerate and graphics quality 🤝

1 pointis there any chance for some good news here?! lobbies are simply dead for me in f1 2019. And no I dont want a short 5 lap race, where crash kids have their fun. Everytime I join a 25% race lobby, Im always alone and have to wait for randoms. (My ratings are Gold and A in Safety) A friend (Silver and B) is joining at the same time another lobby...but never in mine...or vice versa. League racing with friends is also not an option, because of the bad AI behavier (I dont have so may friends to fill the full grid) and its limited to some dates. There is no spontaneity possible in league racing like in lobbies. I hope CM rethink about this topic..... I have to play F1 2017 (dont have the 18) instead....where also 50% races are possible.

1 pointune première idée qui me vient : pouvoir avoir la vision des rétros en mode cockpit ! et pouvoir se " fabriquer " la saison de championnat en pouvant modifier l'ordre des GP en fonction de l'actualité ( annulation ou report de GP )

1 pointNew achievements and objectives, spanning each of the three GRID Seasons, will be available alongside the release of Season 3. More details over on Codies Blog: http://blog.codemasters.com/grid/02/grid-car-tuning-in-multiplayer-and-more-community-requested-additions/

1 point@minetti ' CM is simply a well-known brand and it's easy to sell car games under this banner. ' I'm afraid they'll have a difficult time to sell any to me in the future. Previously bought: Dirt 4 Dirt Rally Grid (Original) F1 2010 F1 2018 F1 2019 Grid 2019 There will be no more unless there is a change of principles.

1 point@BarryBL Hi Barry, it would be great if CM would consider this topic for f1 2020. Kind regards

1 pointReally? Just because you can’t invite your friends to ranked lobbies 😂 Just play the game and enjoy it, play unranked and invite your friends all you want if this is what’s most important to you! You already have the option to do this. What’s the obsession with being able to do it in ranked? if you don’t enjoy it play something else that you enjoy more. It’s a game.
