4 pointsgood evening Codemasters, who speaks to you is one of your users who has just finished watching the race broadcast live worldwide on all online and visual platforms (sky, youtube, Twitch, facebook, etc) and I really want to congratulate you ... .... ironic of course .... it's been 3 years (more but we do 3) that we tell you that lobbies have problems, that rooms are unmanageable, that we crash from one session to another, that there are thousands of bugs and have you (Codemasters) ever given us weight? The answer is no. Tonight, in addition to Norris who was unable to enter, we witnessed multiple expulsions during qualifying and race (people who could not enter) and how the cars got up and down for an acceleration ... Now that the world has looked at you I don't think that you will fix anything, although I sincerely hope so but I doubt, but at least you have shown the whole world how you plan multiplayer rooms and how you manage things badly. congratulations for the figure and learn from other software houses like Iracing. goodbye.

3 pointsThis was really a joke. The day before we have seen the online race with RF2 at indianapolis (was also broadcasted at a big sports channel in the netherlands). Ok the graphics are not the best, but it worked perfectly. Codemasters showed to the whole world that they are not capable to organize a working online racing game. I hope someone at the FIA has a look at the F1 game contract with codemasters......

2 pointsI have to agree with OP (sadly). The virtual GP was a joke. After the warmup lap people were already timed 1 lap behind. After lap 1 the number 2 was according to the timing 1.53 minutes behind😱 and others already lapped which is offcourse a joke. Not to talk about how the cars "move" on screen. Jezus cars were teleporting all over the place and stuttering. the start itself: we see lights already out, 5 seconds later the field starts. This stream only proves again to CM what we're saying for years. ONLINE IS TRASH! You just need to watch this stream and you can only agree with all the comments and critisism from everyone. thing is... now that this was worldwide advertised and a lot more people watched (or tried to watch) have now seen what CM has always tried to sweep under the rug and be ignorant about. I hate to say I told you so... no I don't hate it this time. WE TOLD YOU SO! And now you crashed and burned in front of a whole lot more people. this is just really E-Sports unworthy in every way you can think of, and there's no excuses for it.

2 pointsthe funny thing about set ups is mostly you only need one for almost all cars. thats why i never covered videos on it or done them. also the thing about set up videos is how do you prove they are correct ? for eg porkhammer in dirt rally 1 would do a set up could set a world record. publish set up. i could then do the event get the world record with default. which set up is correct ? for anyone who struggles with set ups. i will give you the simpliest tip. if the default is no good. just set almost every thing to the lowest and to the full right. thats it. many people know this its not rocket science. basically making the car stiffer and lower , locked. thats it. then you just dial in the gears. the gearing is the crucial part of the tuning really. so take a stage you doing try short first. then try longest gear settings. see how your times are. if shorter gears work better then work from there. if longer gears work better fine tune that. for most cars the default set ups if you really push will get you world records. only reason really to tune the car is if it doesnt suit how you drive or it isnt really a great default set up. looking forward to scotland to just playing and having fun. video side for me is done. its just not worth pursuing. maybe will do some for scotland but sadly after that no more. shame this video is the perfect eg of what its like to be great at a game but not suported because you havent got the subscribers community manager on the right. its dirt rally in a nutshell. wish smaller youtubers would be supported better by dirt this just isnt happening. its mainly big dirt streamers youtubers with bigger audiences.yet most of the better players even the best are small channels at dirt. kinda in reverse of what it should be. hopefully that changes in the future for those putting in the effort. sadly that wont be me. roll on scotland looks brilliant from what i seen for a few split seconds... ( trying to save the suprise of jumping in blind on release. )

2 pointsUpdate: added Scotland. Confusingly, it actually is in Perth & Kinross, just as the game says. This is unheard of in DR2. The location is SS3 in the Colin McRae Forest Stages Rally 2010. It doesn't use the exact same stages but it's close. This location has also been used in the Rally of Scotland, but the McRae rally stage is a closer match for the DR2 stages. Google Maps coordinates: South Morningside start: 56.600785, -3.646248 Newhouse Bridge start: 56.576273, -3.648941 Craigvinean

1 pointThis would solve the issue of inaccurate or just flat out wrong stage notes (was reminded of this again today at Germany when I hit the one corner that is always called out as a 4 left, tightens to 3, that is the opposite, its a 3 left that loosens to 4). And a lot of stages seem to have really bad callouts in the early sections. It would be nice to just be able to fix them, or add warnings/reminders of hazards the game doesn't tell you about, like idiots standing on the side of the track on the outside of a curve after a jump. The two things that cause me the most rage are auto resets (mostly due to idiotic spectator placement) and bad stage notes. Both could be fixed or improved if I could simply edit stage notes.

1 pointI've never seen a trailer saying how much FPS a game is running. How much FPS it will have and more will be announced in the next few weeks

1 pointWell... that license isn't going anywhere else for a long time sadly. we can hope that CM finally opened their eyes after this embarrassment, but i highly doubt it. I will bet that they will send out a press release out "what a enormous success the race was and how excellent the game performed" let's hope they embarass themselves more this way so everyone on social media can burn them down and maybe F1 will reconsider the contract. But that's wishfull thinking. looking at all our efforts and their ignorance at whatever we point out, CM won't change a thing. F1 2020 will be the same joke as the rest when it comes to online. Mark my words. And don't get me wrong, but when Lando and Max BOTH online are negative about this game, when it's obvious that other official F1 drivers aren't even interested in joining these races, but rather spend their time on another online race sim, should be a wake up call. but as CM does al those years is take the easy way out, and make an online abomination and whoever critizes them, they don't care. Because of they did, they would have build something good and learned from their failures in stead of beeing ignorant.

1 pointI can't comment on the graphics for the RF2 stream, but honestly f1 2019 didn't exactly shine. From the broadcast cameras the cars and the track didn't even look like they belonged in the same scene. As the OP commented, the codemasters f1 game, as advertised, is now fully esports ready. It is there for the world to see. Moreover we have two amazing endorsements from current f1 drivers Lando and Max. It would seem codemasters are completely blind to the shortcomings dispite the community feedback. BarryBL, can we please hear your feedback on this video evidence? Personally I fail to see how under the trade descriptions act codemasters get away with the hyperbole they peddle in advertising the game, and how the video game media allow them to get away with it by endorsing the product with rave reviews. Something here is surely not fit for purpose... It is way past time the FIA awarded the license for the formula one game to another developer.

1 pointOne of the best league for Xbox one hands down in these forums. The more reserve drivers we get the more of a T3 league lets go.

1 pointsteviejay69 thanks for the help, much work for mine software knowledge. Will try it, thanks again.
-
1 pointAbsolutely. I've seen Lando stream F1 2019. The last time he played no longer than 14 mins before quitting shouting 'THIS game..! "

1 pointWhen you join a lobby you can spectate. Then you can see a track map with the position of each racer. You can switch between the map and a time table. Would be great of you could choose between these two during the race, so you can see the position of others on the map or the difference in times.

1 point@PJTierney Do you know if Codemasters tried to get the Citroen Xasara? The car would fit very well in the Flat Out Pack
-
1 pointYou'll get them yourself on Tuesday 🙂 I don't know when the McRae launch trailer (which went up on Friday) was recorded, but that might have the new Fabia audio in it.
-
1 pointA fairly simple suggestion, can you add a feature to be able to zoom out the mini-map, as it is by the time the corner shows on it you're already there and it's completely useless for seeing a series of corners in advance of you actually being there already.
-
1 pointSure, let’s flick a switch and it’s done 😉 The reality is it’s far more complicated than that, considering the majority of the game is designed around an online connection. That being said, after the Colin McRae Scenarios are downloaded, you can yank out that Ethernet cable and still play them, as just like Freeplay they won’t require a connection 🙂

1 pointFew pictures from the (rather wet) fourth round of the 2019/2020 Lydden Winter Rallycross series last weekend... ...fingers crossed that we won't have too long to wait for more rallycross this year!

1 point@CMTGK PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!!!! it turns out its my steam display name i changed my name to a weird font in steam which does not display properly in some games and i think because the game probably cannot display the name it creates an error ( discovered because i bought star wars jedi fallen order on steam and i got an error trying to link the accounts so when i tried to add it manually it said the name could not be created in the registry which led me to the display name being the issue) im a happy bunny again KEEP your name simple and do not change the font !!!!! thx again peace out Colin.

1 pointHey guys, So after doing a stage in the monthly community event I got this error code: 37f45a6ab4647f8-3a311d18-0-2. I got this after doing a stage in argentina ( I think maybe the 8th one?). Anyways my ingame name is Ryga and I've never experienced anything like this. I will keep retrying to continue for now. Any idea how to fix my issue? Using windows 10 btw. Kind regards, Ryga
