6 pointsWorking on this beauty, dlc car Skoda Fabia Rally. For those who want to fiddle around themselfs. I renamed and copied some files from fab.nefs (dlc car) to fr2.nefs (non dlc car) so i could see the livery in the game. I renamed and copied: fab_highLOD.pssg and the livery_00 files. Renamed them from fab to fr2 and with the nefs 0.4.0 tool imported them into the fr2.nefs file. replaced the original fr2.nefs with the edited one in the model folder. In game go and choose the fr2 car and you will see your new 3D model and livery. Be aware that this is just for creating a livery so you can see it in the game, it is not meant for final use because then you need more files to rename and replace. Always backup your files before you fiddle around with them. I also have a link to the new nefs tool on my website in case you are looking for it, http://www.rallygamer.com/dirtrally2/tools/texture-design-tools.php

2 pointsAs I said here on some topic last summer, I sold my van. I have had 4 chevy vans and finally I decided that it's time to get something else. I just got bored of it and constantly fixing it, as it was huge POS. When I was looking for a new car I had couple options on my mind. One got sold so fast I didn't even have time to actually react for that ad. Then one day my friend sent me link to a sales ad. It was an TC3 Ford Taunus! That was one of the cars that I was looking for. I called the seller and we agreed on price if the car is actually in that condition he told it would be. In the end all played out nicely and I ended up buying and old Taunus as my new daily driver. 😂 It's not exactly a rocket ship with it's 1.6L OHC engine and it doesn't like corners at all by any stretch of the imagination. Still it's fun little car. Did some nice skids with it this winter. (My gf didn't approve as she thinks I act like a child when I do that) My dad was also making fun of me when I bought that. He found it funny that i'm all about old american made GM cars, but still I hoard old euro Fords and was talking about maybe buying old vw beetle at some point. 😂

2 pointsGuys, this were just the steps, how I played them from the very beginning as a bug report. Here are the options for you: 1) If you already changed the difficulty at some point in scenarios and did scenarios on different difficulties: a) Go to scenarios, change the difficulty you want (91 or higher for both achievements or any for "If in doubt..." only), go to settings from main menu, profile, save settings, first option (reset progress) (not the other 2!!!) and start the scenario-mode again from the beginning and never change the difficulty. b) Wait for a patch (takes at least 3 weeks I guess) 2) If you never did any scenario yet, choose your difficulty you want before you start your first scenario and never change it. I know someone, who got both achievements, because he choosed the difficulty before starting his first scenario and never changed it. He's actually the only one on xbox besides me, who got "Flat Out" yet.

1 pointI want them to stop running courses 30 times, and then using the data to find the most annoying place to put logs and rocks.
-
1 pointThe whole AI stupidly fast in rain thing is why I no longer use weather in any of my custom championships. I go along unable to see anything and they smoke me with ease lol. It's just not enjoyable.
-
1 pointPut me down too. Better put me in toro rosso since nobodies giving them some love.
-
1 pointIf you turn off the SC the AI cars will still retire from engine issues and also get the random issues that make them slower for a few laps during the race.
-
1 pointYou need to do what it says in the recommended posts. Or simply upgrade to Windows 10.

1 pointNo love for rF2... 😁 Honestly not many of us actually know what an actual simulator feels like, as they tend to not be sold for us. One of the most used simulators in racing and etc. seems to be rFpro and we have no way to even try what it feels like etc. The feeling of realism also depends on the content, so the actual code could be imitating real life as closely as possible for a piece of software that should run on potatoes. It could just be that the other parts of the game, such as handling/tire models are not as realistic.

1 pointtechnically if you would do that, then I would suggest to turn of the damage.

1 pointI found the issue. Changing the difficulty in any way, will cause this bug. What I did: Played the first 2 scenarios on 70. Changed difficulty to 91. Re-did those 2 scenarios. Did all other scenarios except the last one. Changed difficulty to 70. Did the last scenario. No achievement. Changed difficulty to 91. Did the last scenario. No achievement ("If in doubt"... and "Flat Out"). Re-did many scenarios, changed to 100 etc., nothing. Changed difficulty to 91. Settings -> Profile -> Progress reset Did all scenarios without EVER touching the difficulty option. Both achievements unlocked! (First on X-Box!)

1 point@PJTierney found a glaring one there: Rear view mirror in the DS21 is inverted(it look like your are looking straight at behind from that mirror instead of acting like a mirror) On that screenshot, the wooden posts should be on the right on the mirror...they are on the left

1 pointI would always recommend to learn to do the setup, than to copy an existing one. In some of my videos you see setups for cars, but that might still change slightly depending on the car for me. You might use them as a starting point, but dont shy away from experimenting to adjust them to your driving style. For general Tarmac Knowledge: And for a general Gravel Knowledge:

1 pointRegarding the bridge slow down, until now users like me only have reported it on older gen CPUs (there's also a thread on Steam about it). FX8350, FX6300, i7 2600, a 12' Mac Pro Xeon Quad (1st or 2nd gen Core i, probably), i7 860. Not sure if user reports with a i7 3770k and i7-4720HQ were affected in the exact same way, or just general slowdown. Can be tested while going very slowly with the car on that zone, and it affects one half of the bridge (entry half on Muir Reverse and some meters before, exit on Muir). If you stop in there, fps will be terribly low, then they return to normal abruptly after exiting the affected area. Even dropping the detail to minimum possible doesn't affect the situation, so it doesn't look like the usual situation where an old cpu will cause a slight stutter due to more draw calls on a zone with more objects/details (within a reasonable limit). One affected user on the Steam thread suggested reducing AO, but it does no difference on my system (from Medium to Off) at the lowest fps points. Could it be something relying on instructions these older CPUs can't cope with, like a reverb sound effect or physics calc at this point of stage? If needed I can make a clip, on the following screenshots you see how constant fps flow with the car stopped at various points while crossing the zone, from >100 to under 15fps then back to 100fps. 1 pointThe Peugot 208 R2 and the Seat Ibiza Kitcar always have a loud engine noise that has nothing to do with Spain I only know that Tanja speaks loudly and quietly from Scotland But I can confirm that Tanja speaks too quietly in Scotland or that the engine noise is too loud In any case, engine noise and co-driver in Scotland are not coordinated PS4

1 pointMe to Sound problems !? the sound (announcements copilot / Tanja Geilhausen) is constantly loud and quiet! what's going on there..!?? Engine / exhaust sound sounds strange! I Hope for Support! German: Tonprobleme!? der Ton (Ansagen Copilotin /Tanja Geilhausen) wird ständig laut und leise! was ist da los..!?? Motor/Auspuffsound klingt seltsam! Ich hoffe auf Unterstützung!

1 pointAm I allowed to suggest wrestling the WRC license away from the current holders?

1 pointThanks for providing an answer, usually on this subject critics of the DLC situation just repeat their want for free DLC. I think the biggest difference between GT and DR is that GT is more well-known these days than DR so it has a bigger fanbase and so profit is probably way more predictable for Polyphony than for DR. Rally games (and rallying in general) have fallen into quite a niche since the days of Colin McRae Rally and Colin McRae Rally 2.0. Whereas GT can bank on a lot of people buying whatever their next game is because GT is the driving game for the Playstation and has been since 1997. Codemasters dipped their toe in the water to a degree with DiRT Rally and we weren’t even sure we’d get a DiRT Rally 2.0 for a while so I think it’s still somewhat of a business risk for them. I get your objection to it but I think comparing it to the most successful racing game of all time doesn’t add up. Also the work that goes into making real-life rally stages must be incredibly more time intensive than a racing circuit, and we don’t hear people complaining about GT and Forza etc re-using the same old boring F1 circuits like Silverstone 😴 or Circuit de Catalunya 😴 yet the work that went into us getting to drive Ouninpohja, Sweet Lamb and (hopefully) Drummond Hill is deemed ‘not enough’.

1 pointIn order not to repeat what has already been said.. - More detailed and precise notes (in Italian there are many wrong ones, I keep reporting them but they have never been corrected so far), or at least the possibility of being able to modify them through a pacenote editor integrated with the game. And the voice of co-driver a little more realistic and with adrenaline! We are in a rally race, not on the sofa! - More realistic unexpected moments (stationary cars in the middle of the road, some photographer who moves late..) Cars: - Toyota's, one cannot forget a brand that has written the history of rallies! - WRC 1.6 class (2010-2016), to get the WRC+ class would be a real miracle! - More F2 Kit cars, 3 are very few compared to what existed (Xsara, Megane, Astra, Escort, Sunny ..) - Super 1600 class Locations: all of DR2.0 with Sanremo, Corsica, Safari Kenya.

1 pointI have a question? Who prepared for games F1 2010 - F1 2018 Russian translation? The matter is that many phrases, words, formulations are translated not correctly. Therefore many moderators of these games are engaged in correction of these discrepancies. I too was engaged in it for games F1 2012 - F1 2018 (in these games there are folders with localisations), it is possible to look at my operating time at some forums (in particular on RaceDepartment) under login «AlexandrX». I can I can assist in a correcting of transfer for F1 2019 (and further for F1 2020) in this game there is no folder with localisations. If developers agree to send my mailing address transfer of game on Russian I have modified it and has sent to you back, for integration into game.

1 pointThanks for your answer @PJTierney ! This is a really bad news 😢 - You should protect by another way to not let people use DLC cars who not paid for them - At least use the same methode to let use custom liveries from sub-folders as you did the same for all other car - we don't need to unencrypted .NEFS files...
-
1 pointIt should be an easy fix. Release those plain black and white liveries, make sure we can get to them and we'll do the rest. 😁
-
1 pointWould be awesome to be able to create custom liveries also for the dlc cars
