Im assuming that its slow for everyone. Why would it be very slow for a couple of people while it "works good for a majority"? I was probably a part of your chart when doing the daily AI challenge but i can assure you that the game did not work well. Maybe try the game yourself and see what a great experience it is.

It's hilarious how many people don't use comon sense and basic logic. They have nothing to investigate, the problem is simple, they were never prepared for the servers to have such a high load. Due to corona everybody is at home playing video games so the servers just get overloaded. It's simple as that. And the players from PS4 are not making things easier. The solution to the problem is even simpler: upgrade servers. They dont need "all the tehnical teams" like they say to investigate what a child can find out by using logic. What they are investigating is if they want to spend money on new servers giving the fact that those servers will not be used after Corona pandemic goes away. And we all know how are these companies about spending money... Of course they get a ton of money with the pandemic and the PS4 players but, hey, why spend some on servers them when you can just keep it and keep "investigating" until the pandemic pases. Their problem is that the pandemic doesn't seem to be over so soon so we need to harras them until they will upgrade their servers (not even talking about so much money if we calculate their profit).

Its not difficult for them to try it themselves. Just fire up the game and look at the loading times. Even when you had choosen the car and go to the next screen, the buttons to move in the tabs did only respond after a few seconds which usually are immediately. Its very bad but if you only watch at some graphs how many playing it might look like everything is fine?

Absolutely nothing is laser scanned when it comes to DR2 and its stages. They've never done it that way.

The RaceNet issue has been there since launch! Have you really tried to fix it?

We live in cloud age so servers are not any problem if design is OK. But somebody needs to repeat same mistakes again and again. Always on completely destroys the game reputation. It was pretty bad after release and it's pretty bad now. Maybe they should fire management for similar decisions. Crisis should help with it a lot 😉

I wouldn't say the game is dead - but it is certainly at an inflection moment. When F1 drivers are trashing the game it is a very serious problem, particularly these two who sim race quite a bit. Codemasters needs to get these two back on board to restore confidence in the game. F1 management also needs to think this through - they have given the license to a game that is being trashed by their own drivers - what does that say about their quality control in providing a positive experience to their fans.

Can't reach the leaderboards now either (Australia). I tend to agree with the earlier suggestion that nothing was actually done last night; they just looked at it until enough people went to sleep. It makes me wonder if the intended course of action from here is simply to wait until the PS4 influx is over. Since it's related, it has to be asked: Why on earth does the game download literally 2 bytes of a leaderboard at a time? You scroll maybe 10 results and it makes you wait again while it phones home for barely a handful more. Even on the very best day it's impossible to scroll through the leaderboards. It's such a ridiculous design when downloading the whole table of times would still be unnoticeable, while providing instant navigation.

I've decided I quite like the old Legacy RS.. Quick, responsive, works in all conditions and on all surfaces, and VERY forgiving of noob hamhandedness. But those headlights.... 😄

Ok so i enabled vsync. I unpluged the Tv and it was still crashing. I tried dx 11 also crash. Then i noticed something weird. When online, even though I had my audio set on my speakers when other people spoke I heard them in my headphones. So i unplugged my usb g430 logitech headphones and now i played for like 5 hours without a crash. Could it be that my headphones were causing the problem? I had some usb problems with them before. They were appearing and disappearing like they can't connect before and they also randomly stopped working in csgo sometimes. Anyhow after 20+ in game hours with crashes and frustration I think I can finally play. Thanks for all the help. You are doing gods work here, helping nubs like me.

My wife is coming tomorrow! SO excited haven't seen her for two weeks. I've had to ask her to bring me a whole heap of my old clothes from before I got fat, as I'm struggling with my fat lady clothes that I have with me (pants falling down cos I'm too skinny for them yay!). Still got a long long way to go until I'm back to the point I was 4-5 years ago when I was still buying clothes from the girls section!

Xbox One X Version 1.13.0 Xbox One Controller Central USA Gigabit internet connection I am still experiencing major issues communicating with RaceNet servers. The first daily gave a communication error and started on the second attempt followed by a delay at every step afterwards which totaled a couple minutes. The second daily didn't start until the third server connection attempt and took a total of at least a couple minutes for server communication. The third daily I tried, failed to communicate 14 times in a row only to give me a DNF for quitting to the main menu. Switching between anything in my team that requires server communication takes way too long. My experience is no better today than it was yesterday. All of the Xbox Live services are up and operational. When I did a speed test from network settings on my Xbox, I got over 500 Mbps down and over 10 Mbps up so it's definitely not my connection. Latency was only 35ms with no dropped packets. Please provision enough server resources or increase your bandwidth to handle the number of simultaneous users/connections(sockets) if that is what is required. Thank you. 21 April 2020: The RaceNet server communication issues continue and are making it very difficult to enjoy the game. These issues go back to at least 07 April 2020

Yeah, it's working better now that it's past midnight in central Europe and people are going to bed, Asia is still asleep and the evening is just starting on the Americian east coast... I'd almost bet it won't work again in about 18 hours.

Update: More progress has been made this evening regarding connection issues and most players are experiencing no issues. We'll keep working hard to further reduce connectivity errors for everyone. Thank you again for your patience on this 👍

How about taking the game away from Playstation plus until you fix the server issues? The servers wasnt stable before so everyone involved in it should have been able to see this coming.

Hey all, wanted to drop something here to keep you updated on the current server/connection issues with DiRT Rally 2.0 👇 The news is similar to last night: we're continuing to see steady improvement and more players connecting in the game, but there's still work to be done. We've got multiple departments working through another evening to keep improving the situation. For anyone still unable to connect in the game, we apologise. It sucks. We'll keep pushing this forward and working hard to get more players smoothly into all areas of the game. Keep giving us your feedback as it's invaluable for us as we assess the impact of changes we make. Thank you 🙂

First off I will have to mention that I have no experience whatsoever in driving with TC or ABS, so some of my advice might not be applicable to you. Ride height is super important. In full wet you should in most cases start by maxing it out and gradually lower it if you feel it's better that way. Personally, on most tracks in full wet I have something like 9-11 (front-rear). Wings depend a lot on the track. If there are long straights you still need a good top speed no matter how wet it is. I'd suggest going high with the rear wing and more conservative with the front - that is to stabilize the rear under acceleration and braking. This might be totally irrelevant with TC and ABS, however. With differential settings I'm a black sheep as I like to have high on-throttle diff settings. Most people just put it to 50. Again, I have no idea how these work with TC. You'll also want a soft suspension and low tire pressures. Anti-roll bar settings are more complicated. Very track and driver dependent. Wouldn't worry about them too much at this point. In general, I'd advice to practice wet driving in TT or just without other cars in general. You get to concentrate solely on your own performance. At first just focus on staying on the track and slowly build up your speed. With a bit of patience you will be likely to see a several second improvement in your laptimes in just a 2 hour session, and that invested time will be in the bank so to speak. It's tough, sweaty and a lot of fun!

Somehow i doubt that it works for most people now. As for me, nothing works in My Team; Events, Garage, Staff, everything results in errors or time outs. Platform: PC, Region: Switzerland For gods sake, please remove this stupid online requirement for career mode. If you are concerned about cheating in leaderboards, which is your official reasoning for this, let us create profiles that don't require constant online connection and don't show up in leader boards, and don't allow a switch back to online. It's a huge pain in the ass and i guess the vast majority of players isn't interested in competitive loaderboard racing anyway. The way you do it now slows downs the menus to a snails pace or even prevents the game from working at all, all that for no benefit whatsoever for the vast majority of players.

unfortunately there is no filter for that or better to say for nothing man... the only filter is for region, absolutely useless!!! The only option is to create your own lobby with your own settings and driving aids restrictions...and hope somebody will join you and stay with you in the lobby...

I found a fix for it (That worked for me anyway) The game was trying to launch into a higher resolution than my 1080p monitor can display. I didn't have a hardware settings file the change this either since I was unable to load the game ever. The solution for me was to create the folder manually "\Documents\My Games\F1 2019\" Then download: https://forums.codemasters.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=15732 Extract to: "\Documents\My Games\F1 2019\" Go to \Documents\My Games\F1 2019\hardwaresettings\ and "Right-Click hardware_settings_config.xml" and click edit. Look for: resolution width="2560" height="1440" and change to a resolution your monitor supports (For me 1920x1080).

That's not necessarily true. rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa's modding communities are flourishing (unlike Competizione, which has no mod support and is nowhere near as popular). The problem here Codemasters not releasing tools to make it possible. The last excuse I remember was "license issues". 🙄 More like "we'd like to push DLC 'seasons' and mods will kill it for us" bollоcks. 😂
