It's strange how basic features with custom liveries that we had in previous GRID installments are absent in the latest game, & even with 3 'seasons' of additional content it appears we aren't getting any improvement with this is season 3. Livery features we are missing: - Ability to select custom sponsors. - Ability to save a livery for use on other cars. - Ability to select different paint finishes (gloss, metallic, matte etc) for each colour in a livery. - Ability to change the sponsor layout positioning & style on the car. - Ability to change & paint wheels. We had all these features 8 years ago in GRID 2, is there any good reason we shouldn't have them now?

A few thoughts on new classes/manufacturers. Tried to avoid listing every rally car ever, debatable if I succeeded H1(RWD) Would love for a Lotus Cortina to be added. And the Mk1 Escort, though perhaps that should be H2. Other possible cars:Hillman Imp, Renault 8 S1600 Rally Feel like this would bridge the gap between R2 and F2 well. Also potentially a very well balanced class like R5, a number of similar performance cars in S1600. Group N/NR4 Really like driving these cars, unfortunately only Subaru/Mitsi competing for a long time. Maybe adding some older cars could generate some interesting matchups e.g. N14/Evo IX, N8/Evo VII Very happy with all the other classes Manufacturers Toyota I think this has been well covered Mazda A surprisingly long rally history here for a manufacturer not mentioned much. The RX3 (H2 RWD), Group 2 RX7(H3 RWD), Group B RX7(Group B RWD), 323 GTR(Group A), and a RX8(RGT) are all worthy of being added in my opinion Nissan/Datsun Already have the 240Z which is cool but also: Datsun 160J(H2 RWD), Nissan 240RS(Group B RWD), Nissan Sunny GTiR(Group A), Nissan Pulsar(F2), and finally a 370Z (RGT) Mitsubishi Already a strong presence but 1982 Lancer Turbo (H2/H3 RWD), Starion 4WD(Group B 4WD), Galant VR4(Group A), and an early Lancer Evo(Group A) would be awesome Would probably need a rejig of career mode to have a reason to use all of these but to get even a few of these would be excellent.

Of clear mind and of soul I hereby announce that I will never again buy a codemaster game. What a load of rubbish. I love the game the graphics the way the car moves everything the scenery. But it's no good if you can't play. Now back to my original plan that I should have spent my money on a chocolate kettle 😡

I've never tried the following nor I recommend it, because in the end that error is still between local (which should be the same as in steam cloud) vs racenet data. Looking at the files, the way to restore the local profile to a previous state could be to discard the current/newer savegame@profile#* file pair on userdata\<user>\690790\remote, and replace them with a copy of the older savegame@profile_backup#* (if the date corresponds to the desirable previous state). The problem with that, is that when you connect to racenet there should still be a mismatch since the last time you've connected to them and a newer remote save was created on racenet, so you'll probably still have the championships reset, or even worse, risk having the whole career reset, depending on how they manage these assyncs. I've had a similar situation this week on a bad connection day, after exiting time trial and going back to main menu on a session where I didn't even touch the pending masters rx championship (only Club events), so it got reset with the same message. TBH, all this sync process should be more resilient if the game doesn't allow a user to manage backups/save slots (to avoid save-scumming, maybe), or at least offer the chance to return to a previous championship state when such unexpected errors occur (from a local auto-backup or at least racenet's own). This can be very damaging to the relation between CM and its costumers, specially if a whole career reset is still a possibility.

I have been reporting this from the beginning, but until now nobody paid attention 😞 so I will try again. I experienced this on any PC I played until now - something about 8 to 10 machines, 4 different Internet provider with different technologies and three different Stadia accounts (now that GRID is a pro game it’s more easy to test with any account). I also observed other gamers in the race with the same issue. So that they do not report here, does not mean the issue is inexistant. At least I can tell you some more observation on when this happens. For me it seems to happen after a package lost - a normal issue on stadia, but sometimes it is like the game doesn’t forward the inputs of one of the keys any more. As I showed you in some videos, the input arrives at the game (there are some graphic evidences) but the action is not forwarded to the gameplay. Finally I found out, how to recover control. First you have to turn completely in the direction that still works (without touching any other key) and then you press the key that doesn’t respond for some time (only that key) and you will recover control. You can imagine, that this only works at quite low speed, other wise you spin. When the acceleration doesn’t respond you will have to stop completely, press the brake, press the accelerator key and you can go on. This method seems to work most of the time, but you can forget the race your in. Quite annoying. Here you can find my old post with the videos. If you need some more information, please ask https://forums.codemasters.com/topic/44268-grid-on-stadia-feedback-thread-for-stadia-players/?do=findComment&comment=488326 So please stop ignoring me with this issue 🙂

I think DR2.0 did a fantastic job for it's cars, loads of new cars and some new classes upon launch, and all the old classics and MORE new cars in the DLC, loved the variety and range! The Colin pack was a fantastic finish to the game and i think it's clear there should be a DR3 going into dev at some point, and it better be on new tech with the new consoles coming this year 😄 Anyway, new cars! if we get DR3, what new cars would you like to see? What existing (DR2.0 cars) do you want to see return? or not return? Unfortunately i think it's a foregone conclusion we won't get current or recent WRC cars as the rights to those are locked away with the promoter, but i think anything else is game! I loved the expanded historical classes, the Ascona, extra GrpB cars and GrpA classes, just missing those Toyotas for now 😞 I thought the following: FWD H1 though the DS21 was, uh, interesting. FWD H2 - this was kind of tough for me to like, but i'm not sure why. RWD H2 - Love this class, feel free to expand it! 🙂 RWD H3 - Love this one too, too often forgotten, lots of fun. F2 Kit Cars - This is a bonkers class, lots of love from many people, not my cup of tea, but they're massive fun on tarmac, unique experience for sure. GrpB RWD - Awesome class, some real classics here, would love to see expansion here, 308, RX7 etc. GrpB 4WD - Again, awesome class, love the cars. R2 - Again, not my cup of tea, but they're very technical and a great modern starter car, not sure why i don't have as much fun in FWD cars in DR2 Vs. DR1. Recommend keeping. GrpA - Talk about a backbone class, many classics here, would be amazing to get Toyotas in here, solid and fun class! NR4/R4 - This could be fun, it's nice to have them, but they feel like over-heavy 2000cc class cars, which, they are, unfortunately they're massively mismatched and with only 2 cars, it feels like it's missing the point and i wonder if it's even worth continuing in their current guise, maybe invest in the other classes instead? 4WD up to 2000cc- Again, like GrpA, amazing class, many classics here and a great move into more modern "historical" cars Vs. the GrpA cars. Should be split early/late 2000's though IMO. R5 - Solid class, amazing on the edge competitive cars, a keep and possible expand for sure. RGT - Brand new class for DR2.0 - a stand out surprise, i actually love these cars and this class for what they are, i'd like to see them return. WRX - I do like World Rally Cross and i of course want to see them return, but i have less love for the cars, we've pretty much got the entire lineup, i like the classics as well as the modern. Solid section of the game. Here's the DR2.0 car list so you can see what we have and maybe add/subtract. Huge post, i know, but i feel this is our opportunity to fight for cars in what i hope is the next game! 🙂 Please stick to cars we want/don't want, how their split into classes is another topic and i don't want to worry about that part of game design right now.

Hi, My achievements for completing all scenarios haven't unlocked. I have not completed them in order, I have completed last challenge before one other challenge that I've missed by mistake. I've tried completing the last scenario again afterwards, but it didn't unlock either of the Achievements. In this link you can see that I've completed every scenario on very hard difficulty: https://gameclips.io/fifomaniakPL/cc3f6525-687a-4b20-87b5-5229680a3af9/embed

Who the hell wants to play historic mode? It has no progression and cars are absolute trash. 90% of the actual game content is unavailable, progress is not saved, some even lost their progress altogether ( like even the progress before this server issue ), patience is not something anyone should ask for in this case.

Server issues always has been a nightmare for any company especially for a system administrator. Some just say “you suck, will not buy again etc” very easily. there is no other game or application works like a charm for 100% of the time. I am also not happy with the situation but (using this interval to perfect my setups however 🙂 ); when I will be frustrated is if CM will learn no lesson to this and not to try improve the system and game stability even everything is fixed at the end of the day.

I am new in this forum but im not new in the game, server suckssssssssssssss

Trying the game himself might not be a measurement since, it is possible him to sit in the next room of the servers which would be super fast😀

Its not difficult for them to try it themselves. Just fire up the game and look at the loading times. Even when you had choosen the car and go to the next screen, the buttons to move in the tabs did only respond after a few seconds which usually are immediately. Its very bad but if you only watch at some graphs how many playing it might look like everything is fine?

Did the new daily AI and it took ~10 seconds to repair the car, ~20 seconds to upload time or whatever and ~30 seconds to get back to the challenges menu. I guess this is considered working for the guys at Codemasters though.

Im sorry, but you just proved without a doubt that you have a problem with me. Whatever reasons that may be. Ive been nothing but informative, and backed up everything I have ever said about the physics and about the rain, and about what happens in VR. You have done none of those things, not once. And the stupid thing is, all this started just from me agreeing with your findings that a stable 90fps framerate improves the rain effects in VR.

Well, I guess you are hearing from me again... 😛 Currently, Codemasters are in discussions with F1 and our partners to get a response to this thread on the forums. This response will come in the near future, however, with the amount of parties involved, I cannot give an exact timeframe for this response. This is something we are taking seriously and are currently looking into options with all affected parties for improvements in the future. Once I have a more concrete update, I'll add this to the thread.

Again, im not feeling it, it feels the same as it has done for months. Im not noticing any differance at all in the wet condidtions at all. Also, im a she; for future referance. This really bugs me when people say this sort of stuff, assuming that anyone who can get near the top of the leaderboards must be using some form of workaround, an exterior view, or some other shady thing that just gets pulled out of thin air. It can never be just a case that some people might just be faster than you. Me, driving the Mustang on the same Scotland stage as in your video using the default setup on the car in the interier cockpit view. The only disadvantage you are at, is the one you are giving yourself by blaming the game and other players!

Yes more than ever. No F1 on TV and no F1 game? No F1 period? No thanks. This game will save many a fans sanity!!

This is the normal cycle of F1 games. New Trailer -> Hype -> Features announced -> Hype -> Increasing amounts of people say that they will not buy the game -> Hype -> Game gets released on a Friday (Codies go to pub without leaving out of office auto answer on) -> Despite 0 day patch game is still gimped -> More problems start coming in -> People consider the game a cut and paste of last year and a waste of money -> Patches are released, sometimes fixing stuff and have the unintended (?) side effect of breaking other things> Cycle repeats > Much guff is promised on forums> Game continues to annoy people> Something else is released> Most people active here are complaining because the game is still broken. Fixed it for you.
