4 pointsWith respect to the OP, how does anyone on this forum know how an F1 car should handle? Why would Codemasters take advice from someone who has never driven an F1 car?
-
4 pointsdude you can’t type this while being dead serious and ask for impossible help so you can have early access to a game... we apply for the beta because we care about this game running nicely and we would want to have input in improving it... NOT to have early access just because you’re a ‘long time fan of this simulation game’....just no

3 pointsLet's go the whole way and do it Alonso style (2012 Valencia). Slow down after the finish to pick up your nation's flag from a marshal, drive half a lap with it then park your car in the middle of the track. Exit car, lay the flag on the track and wait for an official car to pick you up and take you back to the podium for your trophy and champagne. Codies, just do it lads! 🍾🏆🏁

3 pointsNobody has been contacted yet. They annouced late Friday that the list had been compiled and more information will come out in due course.

3 pointsYou're providing feedback on something that you have never played yourself? I'd get feedback on visual stuff, but suggesting gameplay changes before having played said game is a bit strange, isn't it. Wouldn't it be better to wait how it actually pans out and see how the players actually feel about it and THEN suggest changes if necessary?

2 pointsThe last idea was the return of the scenario mode, it would be fantastic to see the return of a mode that entertained us a lot on F1 games from 2012 to 2014. It is a mode that is not as huge as the new "MyTeam" mode but it would be nice to see the return of a mode that is missing from 5 (maybe 6 with F1 2020) F1 games ...

2 pointsthey have access to other things but they are only allowed to record and show the cars on TT... i believe the same is for the merc. in their private time they may drive it but they absolutely cannot talk about it or mention they’ve driven it, and they can’t record it

2 pointsWould like to express my appreciation for your evangelism around DR2 PJ. 👍 Viewed the launch trailer for Dirt 5, and am not interested in a wreckfest ripoff. Sliding around on a frozen lake bumping into others is a waste of everyone's time. The vibe is fairly juvenile, so a big never mind for me, thanks. Too bad, because I thought that i liked Dirt 3 and 4, even the soundtracks. To this day, when I think of Dirt 3, it's ghetto burning! There's another killer track on Dirt 4, something about everybody jumpin' outta they mind. But the courses were so much back and forth, just hairpin after hairpin. Felt like it was built for those using a controller and a console. Point is that Codemasters (and PJ) has a legend on their hands with DR2, and must make the effort to keep the legend alive.

2 pointstbf, as soon as I saw what I had done I wanted to delete/edit the message but I didn't know how to delete it and I don't dare edit stuff on this forum cause i always get errors 😅

2 pointsOkay, on a serious note here. BETA Update: List is now completed and we are in the process of sorting out applications over the next few days. I'm not going to guarantee a date or time on this, but thank you for your patience. We've had a lot to sort out and a lot to consider.

2 points@BarryBL If I could add some experience of what I have seen to be the KEY FAILINGS of PREVIOUS BETAS (17, 18, 19) To all the participants The quality of your feedback is important - if I look at a sample of bug reports posted in the TA forum currently, it is very NOISY! It will not win you favour by trying to find the most bugs. It is not a competition and there is no prize. It helps if you complete the bug template, every time on a new bug, and you state what you have tried to prove it is a bug and not just a kink in your setup. Replication is important. It helps if you can confirm and add evidence to exisiting bug reports. You can even disprove them, or say how you found a solution. It helps if you do not jump in and out of Multiplayer lobbies looking to race elsewhere or when you crash out. Spectate and rejoin the session at the next race. Stay connected. We do not need endless posts about people's thoughts about the game. It is a BETA. You will be asked your opinion so save it, and take the opportunity at the end of each focus period (usually a week). Far more chance of it getting read then, than lost in hundreds of (hopefully) quality bug reports. Look for similar bug reports and add to them. Find and confirm bugs in your current game are fixed! To the moderators (keep reading participants) Sorting the wheat from the chaff - merging threads and deleting (or dumping posts) is key to retaining focus. I hope you have some kind of standard message to send to a user informing them that their post has been removed due to being incomplete, not contributing or spam. Consider removing those from the program that have difficulty signing up. It is no good having people who cannot communicate what they have found or are not technically minded enough to do the simplest things like sorting out emails and usernames. In the end To be a beta tester you should be able to produce diagnostic information; the Report Code a dxdiag, a crash dump, hardware settings file the ability to take and share screen dumps, post video to email or share privately (not unlisted) on YouTube (visible to only yourself and the Codemasters beta e-mail address) a detailed description of how to recreate the issue DO NOT sign up if you just want early access to the game - you will be disappointed, the game is not usually made fully open, you will get specific modes and be asked to use them for a period of time. If you can find and quantify ONE bug during this period it will be helpful. If you can confirm TWO others, that's great. It will not be open all the time, you may have periods where you are locked out. PS4 users have previously snoozed the game to get around this. Don't bother posting errors, they don't count because the condition is not normal. It has been general that you have been granted access to play according to the time you log in. Codemasters, I suggest if you can somehow log people out of sessions automatically once an hour has passed beyond the sign-in cut off that would be good.

1 pointI don't want to burst people's bubble. Just check out pcars2. For those people who use wheels you can tell instantly what tracks are laser scanned and not So forgive me for all this horllics but laser scan tracks are far superior then the graphics team hand making them. And no hurt intended graphics team as you do a brilliant job . But laser wins. Perhaps if codemasters stuck to there 2014 advertising. We are going to produce an F1 game that lasts 2 years with some paid and some free DLC. To reflect the F1 teams fluctuations in the championship. Man was I excited. Look how gullible I was 🤯🤯🤔 .sometimes when I laugh my head hurts at stupid stuff.🙃🤪 I get more gullible by the day 🤣🍻 I am also able to predict the future probably by 3 days Yes you do have more chance of winning the lottery 🤣🤥⌛🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎❤🤔 Masterlooke. I already asked about the red bull bump. Which is far worse the the Japanese track.

1 pointYes but only if done right so it doesn't get boring it that you can skip it. I'd also like to say that I'd like to have the whole reconnaissance laps before race start where from your pit, you can drive to the end of the pits and do a proper practice start, then drive around the track and then back through the pits again. Then when you're ready, drive around and to the start where your engineers will collect you to put you on your starting position.
-
1 pointIt would be nice to be added. They have the formation lap so it would make sense. As long as it doesn’t cause incidents like stroll & Vettel from Malaysia 2017

1 pointThe whole issue of classics is a bit of a bugbear to be honest. Time Trial Leaderboards for example. Unless you pick the right car, you can't be top as ALL classics are lumped together. This is also how the Ghost lap save data is stored. TT uses 2019 performance, so very little chance of topping a leaderboard with anything other than a Merc (or possibly a Ferrari), no chance with a Williams (glitch / cheat laps excepted). 0 - F1 2019 1 - Classic 2 - F2

1 pointI think this is a difficult one, as it is really hard to see whether or not he cut the corner. Many times during my races I've thought I did or didn't cut a corner when in reality I was just an inch over the line. It is just noway to be 100% sure when in driver view (cockpit or T-cam). I see he cuts turn 9 at 2:55 and gets a penalty, cuts turn 5 at 6:30 and gets a penalty but at 8:30 it might look like he cuts turn 5 but it is so incredibly close that I can say for sure. The same goes for turn 8 in the same lap, as he seems to be driving with his right front tyre over the white line and thus staying on track. Turn 10 comes close to a cut, but I'm not sure. At 9:50 he most definitely cuts the track at turn 5, but this lap was already invalidated because of an earlier situation. Same goes for turn 8 at 10:15. Turn 4 at 11:09 looks like a cut that has not been deemed invalid where it should. Turn 8 at 13:35 also looks very close, but I can't say for sure. So, after replaying those corners multiple times and using 0.25x speed I can only say with full confidence that turn 4 at 11:09 was a cut that should have been punished. There were a few other moments where it looked as if it could be a cut, but it's just impossible to be sure.

1 pointHah not my wife, shes been flat out, disappeared for 5 days this week, that always sucks as she can only ever tell me how long she will be gone not where shes going 😞 Though I can guess, given how much extreme cold weather gear she took, I reckon she must've flown to one of the Antarctic stations with supplies...very cool! Good news too her promotion has been confirmed, as of June 1st she'll be 2ic of a squadron...no increase in rank but definitely a step up the chain, a few years of that then she'll be a squadron leader, that will make her happy at least. So ambitious that one

1 pointI hope that this news means the split between arcade and simulation, and we could get a Rally 3.0 game with more realism on the physics and in the competition.

1 pointThe Ford Capri centre rear-view mirror shows the rear view as seen from the rear, not a reflection like the side mirrors... See attached image. Platform: PC, Steam. Game is the latest version. Have not noticed this as an issue on other vehicles.
