53 pointsHi everyone, Important update here. We are now beginning the process of adding successful BETA applicants to the forums. Please be patient as this will take time and do refrain from posting in that area, if you receive access. Please do not act in the new forum area until you have received the email.

20 pointsI wouldn't bother. We are still in early stages of access. Recommend looking tomorrow at the earliest. Lot to get through at the moment.

19 points@AxelArvidzon39 is correct. We have a list together, but producing something like this does take a little time. Also, we had the weekend and I needed to shout at FUT Champions and go for a few runs. I'll update accordingly when codes have been released into the wild. 👍 Also, in regards to 'who should test', we need a wide range of players. We are lucky enough with new efforts in the VirtualGP etc to have the facility to work with F1 drivers but, ultimately, its also a game. A game for people to enjoy and race around and, at this time, for some to escape the current normality. So a wide range of people are needed to test.

12 pointsgood luck my guys. hope everyone who gets the beta firstly enjoys the experience but secondly gives codies valuable feedback to improve this game series 🙂 take it seriously guys as it’s a responsibility you’ve been trusted with but remember to have fun too!

10 pointsSo I guess my prediction of "2 weeks of registration and 1 week of selection" wasn't that far off 😅 (EDIT: I'm not joking. I was way too accurate on this one: Funny how accurate this sounds.) Anyway, good luck to everyone who will get in. If you don't get in - PLEASE, don't be mad and sad; it's a limited number of spots after all, but thanks for trying. If you DO get in - remember, this BETA is a Closed one, so NO FOOTAGE OF IT OR TALKING ABOUT IT (unless approved); also, don't forget that this is a BETA for a reason - bug/feature testing should be your main priority, not "early preparation for League Racing" or "a Demo of the game" or something else like that.

5 pointsI've been league racing since the F1 2013 days and have done over 450 races... never did I experience so many reliability issues on my car than on F1 2019. It's mainly the rear wing/DRS... in the last 3 races alone my DRS failed twice on me for 5-7 laps (Russia/Mexico) and it's just not fair and really annoying. We practice a lot but keep getting robbed of a chance to win thanks to something so unnecessary. Takes the fun away. In Mexico yesterday it was even worse because from the moment it failed on lap 4, my rear was uncontrollable in sector 2, I wasn't sure why until I realised my DRS was stuck open and I had no rear downforce, almost crashed and took someone out but was lucky to safe it. On lap 11 it suddenly fixed itself and the car was stable again.... cost be 5-6 seconds and the win in the end. Here comes my request: We should be able to deactivate car defects/reliability issues in the settings alongside the damage settings. Thanks!

5 pointsI understand there's a wide range of ages using the forum, and I understand that people are excited about the possibility of getting in the beta. But this is still a forum for discussing the game or F1 in general and surely we can all find the maturity to have some regard for others when we are pressing the 'post' button. Is your post necessary? Does it say anything relevant? Will others want to read it? I'm just wondering, how many people have used the ignore button, in this or other forums? I ask because there is so much pointless repetition of posts here that it becomes really annoying. Just one example - a user has over 30 posts with an average of just 4 words per post. First, it's obvious they just want to raise their message count, hoping it will get them in the beta program. But second, and more importantly, it is just pointless and timewasting, and annoys many users, to keep getting a notification that there's a post, only to visit and find another meaningless, 'yeah' or 'ok' has been posted. Shouldn't we all think a bit before posting and have respect for the forum? Sorry, rant over.

5 points4th year in a row i try to be a Beta Tester. I know my Luck, i will never get a Key but to those who will get one. Play the Game as much as you can and give codies the Feedback they need to fix Bugs.

5 pointsAllright guys and dolls, hasn't there been a single post in one of the 40 pages here that told you to be patient and just wait for the mail, that begging at this stage doesn't help anymore and neither does moaning or an occasional bribe and that those selected can't be extorted to give up there place since they are non transferable. So please, please keep your fingers crossed, stop asking, guessing or assuming and wait for the mail. In a couple of days or so the owls will bring the mail and the magic can start (and another 1200 posts will be added here, 900 happy ones and 300 not so happy)

3 pointsLooking the the preview that has been given to YouTubers over the last week I think that realistic car performances are slightly wrong. I understand this is a preview build and it may have already been changed but I am unsure. From what we know so far in my opinion the Racing Point is far too slow. Actually slower than the Alfa which is for some reason a lot quicker than I would imagine. Racing point should be increased to rival McLaren with Renault just behind. Alfa and Tauri looking the slower of the mid pack but only by a tenth or two to the likes of Renault while the gap looks a bit larger. Finally the gap between RedBull and Mclaren or Force India just looks too big, with it being nearly over a second gap which just isn’t true. Track dependant the car can be 4-8 tenths off but not over a second to 6th place. I understand them being a second off first but off sixth is not realistic imo. As I said before this is going off pre-season and I’m sure we will get updated car performances post Austria when we resume. @BarryBL

3 pointsHey everyone - we're aware of the bug and are issuing a fix for this very soon. I'll let you know once it's updated. Thank you for your reports!

3 pointsjust bad luck i’m afraid. you may be an ideal candidate but there’s only so many slots available for those who have applied, and it’s just one of those things if you haven’t gotten access. but chin up, there’s ALWAYS next year
-
3 pointsYeah, that is pretty much all the parameters we have to work with in these heavily uncertain times. In terms of an update, at the moment, I'm unsure. The only issue with this is that we don't know what we are updating yet, as we have nothing to work off for an update.

3 pointsYes but there needs to be a purpose to it. I’d love to have it in anyway for pure immersion but have it so that if you pick up X amount of rubber, you get X amount of resource points... just an idea. tbh a lot of things can be added for immersion like after each practice/qualifying session, the session still runs until all cars cross the line..:. Races as well tbh. I don’t trust the simulated times after a sessions ends and a session should only simulate if the player requests it. Even if a player crashes out of a race in career mode, the player should still be able to spectate if they wish.

3 points***IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR APPLICATION - PLEASE READ*** We have had reports that the gamertag question was unable to be edited. This has now been resolved. Please go back into your profile and BETA Access application form and update this when possible to be considered 2 of the checkbox questions require ONE answer only to be selected. Selecting more than this will void your application. Please ensure that your selections meet the criteria before closing to avoid disappointment. As a gentle reminder, it is on you to make sure your application is correct and accounted for. I don't mean to be harsh, but there won't be enough time in the day to check everyone profiles 😄😄 😄 If I do it for one, I'll have to consider doing it for all. Hope you understand I suggest possibly logging out of your account, logging back in and checking your information has saved as a general rule to make sure. Also, do note that replying 'Done' is not necessary. Assist to @UP100 on this one 😛

2 pointsWas just wandering how many people would want to have this as an option in both online and singleplayer

2 pointsfor car comparisons check out skyrex's youtube-channel. He did time-comparisons doing shakedowns with some basic statistics like deviation. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD5pthOe_VNoWg1EiYNFNzg i.e. 2000cc class.

2 pointsI've been watching F1 on the telly since the 1970's, and I've never heard of him 🤷♂️

2 pointsI don't see how it wouldn't be an intense graphics engine. I think that those framerate issues would be good examples of that 🙂 If you'd be running my engine for instance, you wouldn't even spot the framerate differences as it does significantly less stuff over a draw "step" than the EGO engine! Well the thing with DR2.0's VR, is that it's not made by Codemasters. It was funded by Oculus and developed by a third party company whose name I cannot remember. I think old EGO's VR was a project made in-house as it was in GRID: Autosport, Toybox Turbos and DiRT Rally (Oculus + PSVR) In general, VR tend to require a lot of work to be done to an accetable level. I can't comment on what would the developers need to work on to get it to run on EGO 3, but I know that it won't be easy. Especially with all the performance issues and stuff/scenes that haven't really designed for VR. It is a huge project to be developing and it's never an easy decision to start working on one Also as a note Lee Mather used to be a game designer, so he may not be good at talking about technical things. That doesn't mean that they don't have proper reasons for not including VR though! If they could just snap their fingers to include VR with no issues, they would've done it years ago! 🙂

2 pointsLet's go the whole way and do it Alonso style (2012 Valencia). Slow down after the finish to pick up your nation's flag from a marshal, drive half a lap with it then park your car in the middle of the track. Exit car, lay the flag on the track and wait for an official car to pick you up and take you back to the podium for your trophy and champagne. Codies, just do it lads! 🍾🏆🏁
