2 pointsTurns out only one was slightly better 😄 Probably no one got through Rally Australia without issues, if I look at the times. You lose a big part of your grip in the 3rd long stage, but it's faster overall. But if you wanna do it save, use mediums. I also tried a more controlled run, in the end it was just luck I survived 😄 SS1: Went ok. I was sometimes in front of @baunau and sometimes I lost a bit. Had one moment were I hit a tree a bit and feared a puncture, but came away with it. SS2: Was also ok. Battled again with baunau for the lead, but had again a moment, were I crashed slightly against a tree just after the chicane. Got the lead until I came wide on the 2nd square left on tarmac after the bridge at the end of sector 7. Lost it there. SS3: I crashed into the chicane quite late in the stage, because I was on the gras with the left side of the car and couldn't brake enough. The car smoked a bit, but could repair everything in the service area. SS4: Came extremely wide on a very slow square left downhill on tarmac. Was pretty far away from the track, but luckily didn't got resetted. Cost me 2-3 seconds, but except that it was ok. SS5: This was a very good run for the first 5 sectors, had a very big lead by then. But then I hit the bank on the side of the road and rolled. I slided on the roof around 20-30 meters over the track until it finally came to a full stop were I could manually reset the car. Got 8 seconds time-penalty. That costed me around 14 to 15 seconds time overall I think. 2-3 corners later I hit the inside of a corner and spun, another 2-3 seconds lost. No puncture and the car was quite ok after that, so I tried to finish without more issues. Normally that would have been my end of the rally, but I got away with it 😄 SS6: Was very cautious overall, but no issues. Car felt still ok, had some vibrations coming from the car, but it went well. SS7: Absolutely uneventful, but didn't pushed much, to end this without another drama. Overall it was ok, my goal was to beat @Dytut to come closer in the championship and I reached it 😃 The next 2 rallies will be difficult, because shorter cars have a big advantage in the twitchy sections I guess.

1 pointI missed the sign up window for the closed beta when will the open beta come out if there even is going to be a open beta?

1 pointSo, for several months last year, I pushed for Codies to give us a way to be able to reset our credits to 0, and was delighted when we finally got this in a patch. Since then, I've been playing happily. However, this evening, I purchased the Year One Pass on Steam and 2.4 million credits has appeared on my freshly restarted career mode which I can't get rid of, even by resetting my RaceNet data. This is the last thing I wanted as it completely RUINS career mode for me. Please tell me it's optional and there's a way to disable it... Does anyone know which DLC it's connected to so I can try uninstall and disable it? Or am I stuck with it? I can't get a refund on the Year One Pass as I bought it from Fanatical.com Edit: I've tried uninstalling all non-car or location DLC, and it's still coming back. I just want to start fresh with 0 credits like before. Edit #2: If you're going to dump millions of credits on someone who buys your DLC, PLEASE make it optional. Some of us like to *earn* our way through the game. I've just spent money to effectively ruin the game and I can't get it back.

1 pointSadly you missed it . Not long to go before actual game is released. You would have been perfect choice for beta.

1 pointI agree with you to a certain degree (where obvious griefers are concerned) but the problem is that unlike the super-sim racers where rules are part and parcel of playing those kind of games Grid is a throwaway title that caters for a much broader audience and therefore has a second element that most tend to overlook. Driver x might not necessarily be an intentional rammer or a bad driver, he/she may just as easilly be a person with learning difficulties, somebody with a physical disability or even a younger gamer without the etiquette of adult gamers and in an age of equality you simply cannot start dishing out 'bad driver' tags or punishing people because you assume they're doing it on purpose. Besides which, most games cater for those who may feel offended by the actions of others (by means of private lobbies) and where XBox is concerned all games give the option for like-minded gamers to socially interact (via the clubs), so with everyone already having the means to play in an environment they feel comfortable in there's absolutely no need to start implementing systems that will always be fundamentally flawed.

1 pointI'm saying it from experiencing it in this game. If I watch a real F1 car take turn 1 at Silverstone flat out in 8th I notice it doesn't drift. If you take it flat out in this game it drifts or feels slippery. Even on lap 2 with softs. I don't expect it to mimic real cars exactly but F1 cars aren't known for their drifting. They're known for their insane grip in turns at high speeds. Hence the giant wide grippy tires. It's funny too after watching TRL Limitless's stream earlier today from Monaco in the Not GP Race, he actually mentions the lack of grip a few times and actually says the car feels like it's drifting around a certain 2 corners. You can watch it and hear it for yourself if you'd like. 44:30 of his video he mentions "it's like I'm drifting". I use him as an example because he is up there with the best of em that play the game. I think if I was wrong, you wouldn't hear those words out of his mouth.

1 pointThe Seasons featured bi-weekly CR drops of a few hundred thousand, which adds up to 2.4 million overall. As the drops are part of the Season DLCs (ie: the Year One Pass), you paid real money for them, so legally, they must always be available. It's a wonky workaround, but you could try and siphon the funds by buying some RX Supercars, applying upgrades, and then selling them back to the game. Your total will go down over time.

1 pointJust asking, how can you say that? The reason I almost never argue about physics is that I have nothing to base it on. Just saying "look at onboards" for example just doesn't really help as the people driving are pros that have thousands of hours of experience in such machines and such. The amount of stability that the F1 games' cars have is absolutely unbelievable. Spinning is almost impossible if someone doesn't take you out... in which case you can still probably avoid the wall no problem. Like in the last Codemasters Forum Championship race. I went straight through Ascari on the grass and survived just fine. In basically any other game I'd probably be in the wall 😁

1 pointLack of grip. Too slippery. Not realistic for real F1 cars. F1 2019 is my first F1 experience and after using the Lotus 125 stage 1 in Assetto Corsa on the Nordschleife, I can say the grip in Assetto corsa is how it should be. Handling is on point and you don't get that drifting sensation in corners. It's a friggin F1 car lol, we can see the tires. They don't act like that in real life. They grip.

1 pointIt's unbelievable the amount of support this forum has gotten. I've been lurking since april 20th and they literally have the social media team dealing with CONNECTIVITY ISSUES posting the same ******** "fix error code windows 7 users" yet nobody has said they have windows 7, actually Creegz has been mentioning he has a fully updated computer with windows 10 and PJTierney has been completely ignoring and then posts again unrelated, unhelpful posts. Are you listening to your players Codemasters??? **** server connectivity issues, remove the entire fact i need upload my race for a SINGLE PLAYER CAREER MODE to not get a DNF. Never purchasing Dirt 5 or any future content you create if you continue this pathetic support, horrible online singleplayer mode. I absolutely love Dirt Rally, put over 1000+ hours in it, but the fact you guys completely ruined this game with me constantly losing races because of server connectivity issues, not being able to repair my cars because i lose all my credits. You guys understand the game is unplayable when NO ONE can connect? I don't give a **** about freemode. Whats the point of a career mode when you CAN'T EVEN ACCESS IT OR ******* PROGRESS. I play games to progress through them, level up, that good stuff. But nah i'm stuck at lvl 0 doing freemode with NO REWARDS, NO GRATIFICATION AND NO PROGRESSION.

1 pointTo use softlock in any game that has it, you have to manually set your wheel to its maximum rotational setting. So your T300 needs to be set to 1080 degrees of rotation for soft lock to function correctly. I run with a T300, I also have a G27 and a G920, and it is true for all of them. If you run on a DOR setting lower than the wheels maximum, it will throw off the games soft lock settings. Doesnt matter if its Dirt Rally 1 or 2, Assetto Corsa, Project cars 1 or 2. I assume the issue with the previously mentioned fanatec wheels, was running them in "auto" mode. I dont have a fanatec wheel, so I cant test. But I would assume the issue would be resolved by manually setting the max rotation on the wheel, and then recalibrating in game.

1 pointHi, I'm having trouble finding the beta sub forum, no link is provided, Thanks 😀
-
1 pointWell, they don't care about this, I saw people who bragged with them getting chosen, who registered his account on the 30th of April 2020. I'm sorry for you and everyone else who was active on the forum, or on previous beta testes. It's a shame if you ask me, but I'm not in charge.

1 pointHey everyone - we're aware of the bug and are issuing a fix for this very soon. I'll let you know once it's updated. Thank you for your reports!

1 pointOne thing to bear in mind is that the development team will have their own creative vision for future titles, which is what they'll go ahead with first and foremost. They will have ideas about the game(s) they want to make, learnings from previous titles, insights into how people played/received previous games etc. If some of the things they're considering line up with what people are suggesting then that's great, and can lead them more in that direction or inspire ideas/details they hadn't considered before. It's not like a feedback thread "designs a game from scratch" however, more like "is there a trend in what people are desiring that we may be able to satisfy"? That's my opinion anyways, I could be wrong 🙂 Although not directly related to future titles, this video on player feedback is a good one:

0 pointsWhat you put into the "Please tell us why you'd like to be a part of this beta" also matters! Just a tip for the upcoming years. I tend to go overboard with my essays 😁
