The best way is: 1. They sould nail all aspects of DiRT Rally 3 (tarmac physics, career mode, more stages per location, etc.) and make a near perfect rally game; 2. Use DiRT Rally 3 as the basis for the first WRC game, keeping all the content and just adding the WRC stuff (cars, teams, missing events, etc.) and that is it. Another thing is the name, Codemasters need to distance themselves to the mediocre WRC games from Kyloton, so just making a WRC12, 13, 14... is not a good thing. In the past Evo Studios developed "WRC: Rally Evolved", maibe this time Codies could make a "WRC: DiRT" or "DiRT Rally WRC", imagine the appeal of this two strong brands together.

It really is as simple as not using it. I only use flashbacks if the AI does something stupid, or to practice certain sections of tracks to save time (IE not having to do an entire lap 10 times to get 1 turn figured out). Also the odd usage for when I get distracted by something in the real world, since in an F1 car in real life I wouldn't have to worry about someone calling my phone lol. I never use it in qualifying, if I qualify last because of a mistake, then sucks to be me, I'll probably use 30 flash backs on turn one lmao. Self control.

Well this is fairly substantial news! Absolutely overjoyed this has finally happened! Congrats to the Codies team past and present, that have made this happen https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/codemasters-has-secured-the-official-world-rally-championship-license/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

cockpit view during day is over bright with reflections and washed out then at night it is too dark. Just wondering is there a mod, a file tweek or anything to fix this? Seems hood view is the only playable view which is disappointing as I really missed cockpit view on grid2 only for it to come back kind of broken 😞

Excuses. Lots of excuses. I play with a controller and I am able to beat Masters and there is still room for more. And I am not even close to the top leaderboard guys. Don't waste your time with excuses and complaining, focus on getting better. If you have trouble getting better, focus on a specific car.

I guess I am late to seeing this news. We discussed a WRC license at length in the OLD Dirty Gossip thread a few years back. Granted it would give us new WRC cars, but it would also take away a lot that we love about DR [series] now. It has always seemed that a big part of WRC games intent was accessibility. This is fine for marketing, etc. However this goes backwards to what we where just told about the SPLIT of D5 and DR series, that DR would be the hardcore rally game and D# would take the fun/loose gameplay path, I was happy with that announcement. Also, as mentioned above by @UnderclassGDfan how much will be lost that we love about the current DR games. Again back to the OLD Dirty Gossip discussion, there are certain licensing benefits for the new stuff, but what about all the classic and historic cars and events that we have today? Granted you can only improve the same cars so many times until it gets old and stale, however there are many cars companies that are not in the current games that could be traded off for some of these older cars to freshen up the title. Toyota, Volvo, Saab, to name a few are lacking in all of these current games, lots of history to be explored with those cars. Toyota and CM, its time to bury the hatchet, move on, and do what it takes to come to an agreement again. If its not obvious, I like history, and the history of rally is rich with lots of huge moments that have yet to really been explored. Maybe we will get this in DR3 and that will be great. But it will be the last DR game that we have come to love. I will be rather old when 2023 rolls around, so I may be historic myself. PROVE me wrong CM, please.

The 306 is my favourite as well: and the kit car class is easily my favourite FWD class in the game (though I do find the R2's fun to drive).

You need power AND lightweight for strong starts. I usually make it to the top 3 before the first corner. Aero is not as important with the new update.

The VW Kitcar's great, feels fast for a FWD 🙂

Really enjoyed the new F2 kitcar Scotland weekly event that kicked off today, driving the VW Golf kitcar reminded me of the heyday of the British Rally Championship in the mid-to-late 1990s. Unfortunately the number of punctures I got was also realistic from what I can remember of the gravel rallies in the UK at the time!

Just praying for more manufacturers to have joined the WRC by 2023 (Subaru, VW, Citroen, Peugeot, Mitsubishi etc). And for some classic rallies to be part of the championship like the Acropolis Rally(The proper stages in Fthiotis f.e. SS Tarzan, not the **** they ran in Argolis), San Remo(SS Langan), Safari Rally etc. With the WRC licence they can surely do many things the could not do before, so I am expecting big things.

That's for not denying it. I don't see how the latter is a substitute for a forum. Of the children are too ADD for a forum, let them waste their time on Discord. The forum system is already up and running, so what does the company lose by opening another section? Just a reminder, the same people that are too ADD to open a forum to discuss it, as similarly too ADD to check out the unfavorable opinion of the forum on the game, if that is what you expect the wind to blow. With those kidz, game purchase is a spur of the moment, rather than a planned and researched informed purchase. Gladly, with Steam refunds, we can test the waters and throw the towel if a major fail, just like Grid 2019, sadly.
